With a max range of a PATHETIC 6.9km...Vikhr Nuclear Grenade laucher can only be used by very fast ships or if enemies are stupid enuf to get near its range. It is useless for other purpose other than that. MEANWHILE SR-5 GL is decent. It only lacks underwater capabilities otherwise it is a very strong GL

6.9 km is good enough range. Longer than that will give the enemy time to flare. It's the same principle of using zircon at close range.

As a former user of pkxb it's more hot air than an actual useful battle weapon, if I want a gl, I want something that can counter torpedo's and can target subs.
It's a pain to encounter a belogard or an izanami and all you have is a couple torpedo's and maybe a swarmer.
I did use the pkxb for art coins though, that was a good deal.

I don't care much for the pkxb, as soon as it becomes a free reward the price in art coins will crash for like a good 6-7 months.
Although there is enough room in the game to try all types of tactics, some may want to decieve their enemies by firing off a volley of pkxb leading to the enemy flaring the attack, following it up with a all out serious volley of missile attacks.
To each their own I would say

How good would Vikhr be on Pyotr?
It's not just about damage and range. Getting hit by a nuke is distracting for the enemy player
Plus damaging there helicopters and planes
bs, play the game before you start talking. Damage and range are a way more important factor than animation

@@bugbuggy3866Eehm, you do know that the USA had and used nukes first in history, oh wait, at all in history. Also, the USA had nukes and threatened other countries to the point that they had to develop their own nukes.
So if there is a specific country responsible for the nuclear race, it's the good old US of Aggressors. Unfortunately Hollywood whitewashed it away, even worse, made it cool for kids.
On a side note, to even say something is a "nuke" and use it in this game is just a gimmicky thing, a real nuke, even the smallest tactical one would in real life take out a whole ship and all close by teammates too, lol..😅
SR5 needs a accuracy buff for the grenade part. The missile gets a target lock but there is no way to aim the grenade part. As a result, the grenades don't hit when the target is in medium range or further.
On the other hand RPK-1 Vikhr is too overpowered. It can target both ships and subs with nuke warhead. Ships have AA but sub don't have. So the devs should nerf the underwater damage by at least 20k per round.
No need to NERF vikhr because it reload is already the longest gernade launcher in this game right now-more than 10 s but the dame is average in 30k so it already low dame and balance enough when compared with asw rocked and another anti submerged sub gernade launcher. Don't just say NERF NERF NERF but don't even see the whole stat 1 time. SR5 is out meta like x51, you need to see the reality. The game is already balance.

there is a reason there is a Tier 1...... for those who dont like heavy weapons and like NERF Play.

That would kill that weapon, actually it's underpowered, too slow and takes a lightyear to reload, I've tested it a lot with my FSG 126 and it's worse than all the other GLs. It actually needs a small buff in several areas, in that case, it'd be more attractive to use. Now it's meh. My ASW cannot be flared, more useful, unfortunately somewhat nerfed this update.. 😢

As a user of carriers, the RPK is better because you use the airplanes for surface attack and the RPK to kill the submarines with the help of the helycopter
