Well done video as of always Eric, Ive currently taken my 24x16 layout apart to expand it to a 29x19 and make it a high rail layout. Lot of work I’ve gotten myself into but I always enjoy seeing other videos such as yours for motivation
Thanks for the neat video Eric and Merry Christmas to you. I loved the run bys as well as the variety of passengers cars in the consist. I found it interesting that Lionel chose to use Commonwealth trucks under the tender rather than the Buckeyes. Not sure if any of the class had them but it certainly makes it a unique model. Looking forward to the remainder of your holiday videos and thanks for taking the time to make them.
I love o guage because there are advantages to it, like, you don't have to specially wire a reversing loop. But, it is so expensive I just can't do it. Loving the video though.
I almost ended up doing Hands On The Throttle with the 1225.I'm, but it was kinda expensive. I still did Bands on the Throttle with the 0-4-0 Jeddo Coal 85 though.
Hi,ive just discoverd some if your videos, and very cool layout, and im thinking about going from ho to o scale, you have alot of tips that will help me get started o scale to,thanks.
I truly wonder, that building at 5:37, across the tracks with its salmon pink facade and violet dark blue / light blue windows & yellow balcony, what is this building ?
Hi Eric. i am not sure how many video's you watch or if i am even one of them. but i have a youtube meet and greet coming up on May 18 at Steamtown National Historic Park in Scranton, PE. i have over 40 people signed up to come, and i am sure some of them watch your channel as well. Would be great if you can come, and maybe even help get the word out there. I have a ten min video posted that is a sign up video. be great to see your name added to the list. make a holiday out of it.
Eric, on a completely unconnected mater, can you tell me what was the protocol around nose and tail lights on American steam locos. All the models of American steam locos I have have white lights on both the loco and the tender regardless of the direction they are running. In the UK as far as I know the tender displayed a red light when the loco was going forward but was manually swooped for a white one when the loco was reversing.
I just got a lionel empire state express for christmas, and whenever i start it up, it doesnt do a nice amooth one with the crew chatter. Is there somthing you do before startijg your engines up that makes them have a longer startup time?
War 1109 I have the model and I’ll tell you that it looks way better in person. It looks like white on this video, but in real life it’s a medium-dark gray
MPT 1225 we had a member bring in his model next to the actual 1225 and it’s way to light. The graphite should look far darker and not be one solid color.
To long. Show your whole lay out. We don't need to here the same stupid crew sounds on every model they are all the same. Love to know what u do for a living to afford all this
Merry Christmas! Favorite model Lionel ever made right there. Best sounds on a model train out there imo
Love the whistle on this one
1225’s always had a gorgeous whistle. ;)
I got this engine and I’ve put miles on it in the first 4 months I’ve owned it. Great minds thinks alike
Awesome video, Eric. Really enjoyed it. I’m a big fan of Pere Marquette 1225. Got to see the real 1225 twice in Cadillac, Michigan.
What I find ironic is that 4 years ago to this day the 765 video was posted...
Awesome video I really like the 1225
Vraiment une tres belles locomotive avec le son, beau travail de presentation tres bien$.
Pere Marquette 1225 is my first favorite steam locomotive in the world. It was the Movie Star engine from the Polar Express.
Great video - the landscaping is looking superb.
Merry Christmas!
Great engine! Really like the consist behind it.
Hope to get this and the Polar Express version some day.
Thanks again for the post!
Yo. Live in Michigan. That Berkshire engine is on display in the Henry Ford Museum. I used to get in that train all the time when I was a kid!
This is my favorite steam locomotive from lionel and ever exist
Nice, I have the same model and it’s great a model I’m very happy to own it

Very nice Eric!!!!
The polar Express Berkshire is one loco I really want. I want to get one to run it under the Christmas tree.

Ditto.
I have one but it is a really old version

Merry Christmas 🎄 Eric!
Great and awesome video!
Very cool! Love the engine.
Amazing !
AWESOME video Eric! Thanks bud!
hey eric you should do a double header with 1225 and 765
I almost ended up doing Hands On The Throttle with the 1225.I'm, but it was kinda expensive. I still did Bands on the Throttle with the 0-4-0 Jeddo Coal 85 though.

I hope u and every one has a great Christmas
Fun Fact: Pere Marquette 1225 is also an officially registered landmark.
I truly wonder, that building at 5:37, across the tracks with its salmon pink facade and violet dark blue / light blue windows & yellow balcony, what is this building ?
Excellent!

I like these shorter reviews
It’s still dec 25 where I am😂
Can you please do a review of the Lionel Union Pacific lion chief plus Hudson #647
I prefer the way the front of this one looks.
Lionel painted the smokebox wrong on this run.
Eric, how did you know that this was what I wanted for my Christmas present ? Thanks !
Mary Christmas
I have seen 1225 and 1223

It’s the polar express After Christmas working at its normal job
why not do double header with the polar express and the pere marquette togther at the same time
P.S Love the run by shot
8:12 This is the best speed to run trains!
Eric aren't you going to upload more Christmas bonanza videos? The MTH barvarian S 3/6 Express engine needs some coaches
I do them every Christmas
Eric, do you ever run your trains at full speed? I think that steam engines look best at their full speed capacity
I wanna shopping the Lionel Pere Marquette Berkshire #1225
My fav berkshire steam engine. It would be better if the numbers on the cab was more to scale XD. They are way to big
Well...you coming?
I just got a lionel empire state express for christmas, and whenever i start it up, it doesnt do a nice amooth one with the crew chatter. Is there somthing you do before startijg your engines up that makes them have a longer startup time?
Hold the start button down. Make sure your software is somewhat current.

Here’s the link to my playlist of my videos of Pere Marquette 1225.
I don’t remember the new 1225 having a white front is that an older one?
War 1109
This is new and prototypical, to answer your question
The graphite doesn’t look right. The NKP berks are the same way too.
War 1109 I have the model and I’ll tell you that it looks way better in person. It looks like white on this video, but in real life it’s a medium-dark gray
MPT 1225 ah ok thanks

Very nice Eric! Could I suggest a video of that bi-polar that your picked up recently? It seems like a very interesting engine.
0:12 Second First Same As The First
Can legacy trains go really fast like the lionchief trains? because i've never seen one.
yes
Run 1225 with 765
Why you turn off the cab lights in all model?
the cab lights turn off automatically when the locomotive starts moving, mirroring how real locomotives work.
@@Ericstrains sow the engineers travel whit the cab light off?
@@Ericstrains thats new i didnt know that
LAST!
why does your camera spin need to fix it annoying grate videos except for bum camra
Second first, same as the first - Emgo316
$1500? Pfft... thanks! I feel a lot better about the $60 I blew on ebay last week.

Excellent video!!
