  • Their GDP per capita increased to US$ 1,765.49 in 2022 from US$ 1,658 in 2021. Their biggest industries are textiles and tourism, but most Cambodians are still relying on agricultural activities as their main source of income.

Pol Pot wasn't a 'radical' communist; he was a standard communist and carried out the same purges that happened in the Soviet Union and in China, North Korea and other communist nations. Sadly Pol Pot was never brought to account for his crimes. I am looking forward to visiting Cambodia in the near future.

Same purges like China and North Korea....I can agree with that. The USSR was different, probably the most accurate form of communism according to Karl Marx because people had "enough" to eat. USSR probably did not go around and kill the common people like Pol Pot.

He wasn't held to account in this life but he's in hell burning right along side Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin.

If you kill anyone that doesn’t align with your political beliefs is radical. Almost 3 million people died. I’m sure he’s up there with Hitler and other radicals.

God bless Cambodia. May everyone be blessed with abundance and happiness and no more beer girls or child’s labor. Very sad. I have kids and I can’t imagine putting my kids in those situations shown on the video, but im from America. When you are poor you got to do what you have to to survive, very sad. God bless all other countries and let there be no more war. May there be peace and love and harmony on earth. Amen!

They don’t talk about it because it’s not taught in their schools, the former prime minister was a communist. Hun Sen’s dynasty deliberately keeps the population ignorant and murders dissidents to stay in control.

It almost seems like many of the youth need to go abroad to study and learn and come back with plans to further advance the Cambodian society to move to the next level of technological self sustaining advancement without losing too much of their cultural integrity. I wish the Cambodian people the best.

Yes agreed that we had been fall. but now is totally deference. Cambodia Rich in Cultural and Religious Richness: Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious monument, is a symbol of national pride and a major tourist attraction, reflecting Cambodia's deep historical and cultural roots in both Hinduism and Buddhism.
Culinary and Local Preferences: Cambodia does not have McDonald's, likely due to the strong local food culture with rich traditional dishes. Instead, fast food alternatives like Burger King and local chains like Lucky Burger are popular.
Youthful Demographic: Cambodia has one of the youngest populations in Southeast Asia, with a significant portion under the age of 30, attributed to the tragic Khmer Rouge era that drastically affected the older generations.
Economic and Touristic Growth: Tourism is the second largest revenue source for Cambodia, attracting millions of visitors annually to its historic temples, beautiful beaches, and vibrant cities, demonstrating a robust recovery and growing appeal as a travel destination

"Modern & technologies are very good there" < Your grammar is incorrect in this sentence. Also denying the truth doesn't make it any less of a reality. Cambodia is highly corrupt and ranks 158th out of 180 countries on the Corruption Index, so basically in the bottom 20/30 most corrupt nations.
