As well as with the lyrics saying, “Mortal ties broken, with the adepti she went Their abiding place filling paternal bonds rent To her red strings of binding they sent And they dwelt long together, content” So yeah, it’s more than confirmed that it was not only Cloud Retainer who took care of young Shenhe.

Techni ally all 3 jueyun karst adepti and even xiao trained her. Shenhe is mostly under CR's custody, but it was clear that she was taken care if by all 3, since we know from her story that moom carver did some divination on her to know she has a curse of calamity, and he was the one who made the red roped for her

I am actually interested if we will ever met Yanfei's parents since they are still alive and apparently out traveling the world. Also we haven't seen Ping's adepti form yet.
Cloud Retainer is no joke one of my favorite characters in the game so having her in human form as a playable character is really nice. Also I like that Shenhe is taking a break from her strict herbal diet and enjoying some nice food in Liyue Harbor
I want to pull for Xianyun purely for the stories about Shenhe and Ganyu like she's the proud mom telling all the embarassing memories of her kids to us.
This is a nice observation. Most people believe the headcanon that being half adepti makes the likes of Ganyu and Yanfei unable to transform into a beast form, but this might imply that they actually just have a harder time maintaining a human form.

Xianyun grew on me a LOT. I used to see her as this egotistical royal figure, but turns out she can get lonely too :( She cares a lot about her close ones and seeing her soft side has made me love her more 🌸
Yeah, I remember her being that way at the start, but as she got more involved with the story, and started making appearances in more quest, her character really evolved. I can't wait to see what sort of interactions she'll have with the rest of the cast, now that she's using a human form. I would love to see her visit Monstadt.

Well Xianyun aka Cloud Retainer, did not only more or less adopt then raise both Ganyu, and Shenhe when no one else would go near these poor unfortunate little girls, she more or less proved she's probably the most down to earth and caring of the adeptus aside from Xiao and Madam Ping. She's more "human" than most give her credit for. I mean I can't even blame Ganyu if she called her "mom/mother" every so often Shenhe's case was more strict due to her homicidal tendencies so it makes more sense to call her "Master" over her "Guardian" or "step mother" which is more or less the role she took with Ganyu while with Shenhe it's more of a guidance role. Even little Yaoyao calls her "Auntie" which she wholeheartedly enjoys and accepts with the SMUGNESS of a thousand miles

When she first appeared in Liyue quest, I didn't like her for instantly jumping to holocaust and being overall difficult. When Shenhe and Ninnguang teamed up against Osial's wife and Cloud Retainer admitted people's improvement and was about to tell a story like a proud mom, I was like: "She's not so bad". And now? The fact that in the present when she was in human form she sneezed and was all embarrassed and along with her feeling a bit lonely when people don't stop by to see her, Cloud Retainer is completely just as cute as Ganyu and Shenhe are. Can't wait to learn more about her!

Well Xianyun aka Cloud Retainer, did not only more or less adopt then raise both Ganyu, and Shenhe when no one else would go near these poor unfortunate little girls, she more or less proved she's probably the most down to earth and caring of the adeptus aside from Xiao and Madam Ping. She's more "human" than most give her credit for. I mean I can't even blame Ganyu if she called her "mom/mother" every so often Shenhe's case was more strict due to her homicidal tendencies so it makes more sense to call her "Master" over her "Guardian" or "step mother" which is more or less the role she took with Ganyu while with Shenhe it's more of a guidance role. Even little Yaoyao calls her "Auntie" which she wholeheartedly enjoys and accepts with the SMUGNESS of a thousand miles
