Visiting the beautiful Italian seaside city of Scalea in Calabria

- Our next adventure in Italy has us taking the train from Tropea to Scalea. Arriving in Scalea we first explore Torre Talao (Talao Tower) where we enjoy breathtaking views of Scalea and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Next we take a walk along the beach and enjoy an afternoon drink at the lido. Scalea's old town/centro storico is absolutely magical as we climb stairs to the ruins of the Castello just in time for an amazing sunset and more views of Scalea. Our walk down is just as amazing, Scalea's centro storico is a special place.
More beautiful & peaceful town, with historical captions, indicated about it's historical period from BC Era & pre-history era.... Really this country is full of historical Treasures....GOD save it & it's people, & GOD Bless to These All, forever.
Absolutely the best "windshield tour" of Scalea that I've ever seen. It gives me a great perspoective of where those Idealista listings are!

I am American who is looking for the place for retirement. I saw a few nice videos about Calabria , but none of them answered my questions. Yours did and I really appreciated.
I hope many people will discover how great life could be without seating by computer . I hope Italy will become strong economically and the government can invest in South to save those small charming villages and towns

This was recorded in March and during the lunch when most locals are inside. It is quiet off season, you get to experience the beautiful walk without the crowds that come in the next weeks.
Nice walking tour!!!...just shocked as to how abandoned and neglected the Centro historic is!!!!...it looks totally depopulated and a town for the stray cats!!!...sorry I have to be honest....thanks😢

I thought for a while that whit cat was your tour guide the way he kept leading you up the steps and looking back to make sure you were following him. But he eventually disappeared.😂😅😂😅

That’s fantastic you will love it! Scalea will be more alive in a couple weeks! We have noticed more stores, restaurants and accommodations are opening up for the season now in southern Italy. The days are also getting warmer 😊

@@lisalanza8365 we stayed a couple nights at B&B San Matteo while in Scalea. It was a great location and the room was nice.
