My cats stare at me and miauw if the want me to 'fix' something: they want me to stop the rain so they can go outside, they want me to move something, open the door etc.
Same...mine will stare at me, rub against my legs to get me to follow her, then she will stare at the closet door. (She likes to jump on the lower shelves to take a nap🐱).

My cats are shy around guests, they prefer to hide while ppl are over and come out once they've gone. Well I had my best friend over and we were watching something on TV and Elvis (my little boy) came out from the bedroom thinking it was all clear and as soon as he saw my friend he froze and just stared at her. @@dreamthedream8929 Most indoor cats can't tolerate closed doors. Whenever I was taking a bath I had to keep it open a bit so that my cat could walk in. Otherwise she kept meowing and scratching at the door. Even when I woke up at night to use the bathroom, she just had to follow me in... So I think it's common for cat owners to let their pets in when they're taking a bath.

My neighbours cat, who is a frequent visitor in my garden, stares at me through the window and literally licks his lips. Hes a clever one. He will do it consistently until I give him a couple of treats lol. Then he pulls the same thing on another neighnour ten minutes later. Hes got a good set up in this street. Took us all a while to figure out he had a home. Hes resourceful that's for sure lol

Our pets cannot speak for themselves which is why it is necessary for all pet animal lovers and owners to be able to interpret their pets' expressions and moods and reactions and behaviors! My cat has stomatitis which is an inflammation of the gums that makes it really painful for her to eat sometimes when she runs out of her medicine. Her medicine costs $69 and she needs it every 2 weeks and it takes sometimes 2 weeks to ship so I have to order two bottles at a time and it can get expensive. She also needs an appetite stimulant to help her eat when she is in pain. She is such a trooper I know she really hates taking her medicine (my partner gives it to her orally in a syringe) but she always looks up at us and meows for like 10 seconds while rubbing up on us and I know she is in pain and I know she knows she needs her medicine. She is so forgiving after he gives it to her she runs away at first but then she always comes back for scratches and more comfort. It really helps her and she is such a happy cat when she isn’t suffering but unfortunately it seems like she will have this condition for the rest of her life. I wish there was an easier more affordable way to help her... I can’t stand to see her in pain 😭😭 She is only 3 years old and I really want her to have a long healthy life she is the sweetest thing I love her so much. Thanks for reading.

1. If he is staring at me while hiding behind something = he wants to play
2. If he stares and meows at the same time, it's either he hungry or wants to be carried like a human child
3. Most of the time (which is all the time except when he's asleep) he just stare at me to make sure I'm not going anywhere.

My cat has a special place on my bed made up of three blankets. That is her place to sleep. I wake up to her sleeping on me most nights. When she dose not like someone or something she will growl and hiss. Like when she sits in my lap and doesn't want to leave for instance. She will give me a warning growl. When she first went to the vet she was ornery then, the vet called her little pisser. I love my cranky baby.
One of my three cats has reputation at the Vets - "oh - we will just takes bloods and be back in a jiffy" Me: 'good luck'. Two minutes "Um - we have to sedate her. Apparently the Vet Nurses have dealt with her before". No Shit Sherlock! This 2.7 kg cat is a DEMON - 7 foot tall and breathing FIRE!!! For me - sweet as pie until she rips on my veins.... (scars to prove it)

During lockdown, I've spent a long time gaining the trust of a cat which doesn't belong to me and is sandy in colour. It was a lot of careful work and restraint from contact, but now he comes a couple of times everyday and nudges me happily. I'm so glad I put in the work. Cats are the best.
Also, I found a dead bird on my front door step, I think it was a present from the Sandy cat but I'm not sure.

My two cats usually stare at me when they want to be petted, or just simply want attention. One of them constantly meows and cries when she's hungry, eats two bites then walks away and goes back to the bowl in 5-10 minutes to eat again haha. The other one is really silent and sleeps a lot, the only time she meows is when she wants me to pet her. She'll stare at me with her beautiful big eyes and meow... impossible to ignore. A couple of weeks ago my cat freaked me out so badly. We all know they sometimes intently stare into space at something we can't see, but this was on a different level. She was watching what appeared to be nothing, eyes like saucers. Her stare was mostly in the same area, and she got up on her hind legs a few times trying to see whatever it was. A couple of times she slowly watched whatever this was come up close to her and behind her. This went on for 10 minutes. I couldn't snap her out of it. It was like she was drugged and watching a ghost move around the room and was scared. I've had cats all my life, but never seen anything like this. The look on her face was scary. A few minutes later she was fine. I don't know if ghosts really exist, but something a little disturbing happened. She's been fine since. She snuggles with me and stares at me with happy eyes, as always. 💜
My cats growing up were very intent on seeing everything. I know they have ESP to a point, and they can see spirits. Documentaries I have seen in the past, suggest this as well. I do not think non cat parents think this is so. But that is my opinion.

Cats I took care of years back: Sad history, don't read if you're sensitive about cats.
The mother cat cried as she stared at me super sadly after I helped to bury her deceased kittens. She was with me the whole time, sitting to the side and watching from start to finish. Other cats stayed away. I asked for her forgiveness as I understood partially what she conveyed through, but she was so much more in that one long teary stare. I wasn't a good caretaker, so no excuses on my part.
One of the cats with whom I was blessed to share my life was a lovely black female rescue. I felt so in tune with her, I often referred to her as 'my familiar.' 💕 On more than one occasion, while I was at my desk working, she would sit at my elbow and gaze at me and purr and purr and purr. I commented on this to a friend, and his answer was, "Why, she's *adoring* you!" He was right, her love was palpable. She was such a dear, warm, soft little muffin... It's been years since she crossed over the rainbow bridge, and many other cats, but none like her. I miss her still. 💖

I started playing peek-a-boo with my young cat, moving my head back and forth slowly to hide our eyes from each other behind a partly open door. Some beautiful cats in this video...my cats are the best people I know. My boy kitty...Joaquin Phoenix (jp) will climb up on my shoulder the way you hold a baby to burp them. That’s his spot and I should not be messing with anything else when my little ginger boy rests on my shoulder. He is really sick right now so all the love he shows me, is reciprocated 100%. My girl kitty, piper, is my little tumour...she is attached at my waist. Where I go, she follows. My husband says the most pathetic thing he’s seen or heard is piper, calling for me when I’m gone. It breaks my heart to leave her. Cats rock!

bracita15 thank you so much! I do too...I rarely get scared but the symptoms appear to recede but come back stronger after a few hours. He was so fluffy...not fat...but now, he’s frail. I hope we figure it out soon because he is the funniest, naughtiest, happiest cat I know. I can’t stand to see him suffer and be in pain. Thank you for your comment and well wishes. It helps a lot!

The first tricks I ever taught my cats were options how to ask for food.
Meow for attention, you'll get it ... walk over to the kitchen, you get fed.
Rice bowl dishes can be tipped with your paw, makes noise, you get fed.
Wet food is plentiful and on demand, you'll never go hungry in this house.
@Rick K My last cat got fed 7 to 12 times a day, never got fat ... but yes, there's almost always someone at home.
I knew all of them already bit still, _I feel emotional_
The thing is, I always win these staring contest with cats falling asleep at the end.
Most of the time my cat stares at me because he wants something to eat, or attention, or he wants to talk with me. Sometimes he just watches me even when I have to clean up the house / doing daily things like "Mom, what are you doing? Can I help?"

I had two males, litter mates, that would tag team me if the wanted their afternoon snake. It was fun to observe. They always won. I miss them. Like having two little boys in the house.

I've always thought that my cats are telepathic.and I'm sure they think I'm really clueless and must frustrate the hell out of them.
YES !! My bombay has a look when she's in play mode. She usually looks at me with normal cat eyes, but if I look back and widen my eyes she slowly widens hers and her pupils dilate. I then pick up her favorite plush toy and she gives a purr-chirp sometimes matched with a very quick millisecond "MEOW" before going into hide mode behind something and just staring. as soon as I throw it she quickly dashes for the toy which she typically with come back with in her mouth. she parades around the room showing off her prey then drops it at my feet and we start the routine over again. sometimes if im doing something else and don't notice she's brought me the toy to start playing, shell stand in front of me and just stare at me, then over to the fishy and not say a word. lol
Usually when they want food, treats, brushed, affection
whoever is concerned because their cat "stares" needs to have their head checked. If the cat lives inside their only source of entertainment is the human. Pay more attention to your cat, or if you can't, don't have one. An animal is not a cushion that we get because we got the fancy, only to be discarded when is not "cute" anymore. Cute is a very small part of what a living, sentient, being is. They eat, they poop, they pee, they age, they get sick, they feel fear, stress and anxiety, and you have to care and love them, is a big commitment, and if they are indoor cats, their only highlight is when the person is home.

Calm down no one needs their “head checked” I just found it creepy ash. Staring at me 24/7 even when im doing absolutely nothing that is creepy as hell
With my furry one, it’s usually 1 of 3 things:
1. I’m hungry
2. I’m thirsty
3. I want to go outside
and then she’ll perch on the kitchen window sill when she wants to come back inside
They want something from you. Usually, its food. However, it could be they want to be brushed or they want to play or they want to go outside for awhile. All of the above can be true. They definitely know how to communicate their needs to their favorite person.
when my cat wants to eat she pulls my hair and drags me to her bowl forcing me to spill some food in it
My cat: "I want food"
Me: "I just topped up your bowl an hour ago"
My cat: "I want food"
I like it when he says 'their favourite human'. I'm my cat's favourite human...melts mah hart

My cat is comfortable with me and every day she looks at me for a long time deep in my eyes without blinking. It's strange. Is it because she has bonded with me?
