Playing just the compains for both nod and gdi. It's been awhile since i've played this and I dont do too good with GDI but get the hang of it more by the time I play as NOD.
Noticed that the sound is very slightly out of sync for GDI, only really noticeable in the cutscenes. PC version was a bit harder to record so went with the PS1, don't really know the shortcuts for it. -

I used to play the demo of this over and over again. That 3rd gdi mission I loved it. And then discovered it was the original to my already beloved tib sun!! Ahhh being a kid was great.
I love at 42:10 how seth gets pissed at your success for threatening his position as kane's right hand man. I like the way this helps inspire the player to continue winning. haha
The missons of Nod was so insane hard hahaha...
That particular fourth level was always a pain. I usually chose to do the other one instead of the one played here.
@@ScreamsGeo 6 level is also hard when playing first time. When you know strat, it's easier
The worst mission for me was when you had to infiltrate a GDI base and capture a Orca gunship to attack a village to the north of the map (which is protected by rocket soldiers).
@@wargamesmaster There is to my knowledge two Nod-maps where you need Orca to go north but only one where you need to steal Orca with engineers and that is the very last Nod-mission. Hard AF but when you know how AI behaves, it makes the game ridiculous easy and i mean it.
@@dickmccarthy9496 Yeah... Except that the LAST NOD mission is about building the Temple of NOD and destroying GDI forces in the area.
And in 25 years I saw only ONE NOD mission about stealing a Orca gunship, are you sure you're not confusing with the GDI mission with the first appearance of the Orca?

+PUNISHERE989 Always was able to finish the nod mission, but never the GDI. Always got stuck on the mission where you have a mamoth tank, but no harvester.
+PUNISHERE989 its free to play and there is a fix which allows you to play it on win 7 up to 10 on 32 bit and 64 bit systems

I played another map for sixth level. It had two starting routes with troops and you can't put your troops to one group because there is cliff that separates those routes.
one thing I would tweak about this game is stopping the slowdown, particularly in the later levels when large numbers of units appeared.
The bgm is way more badass than it has any right to be.
This was a great game. Good times.

One of the greatest PC games ever made.
I remember having a book full of PS 1 video game cheat codes, including this. Spamming nuclear missiles & ion cannons like there were no tomorrow..

I have this game on sega saturn and I love this game. It plays like sim city, sim city 2000 & warcraft 2 (was also released for sega saturn and playstation 1). Want to try out xbox 360 versions and the psp. I even hear there is a mobile version for cell phone androids.
actually brother it is old systems such as the N64, but there are other titles in the tiberium series :)

I bought it recently and I can't switch to NOD. Do I have to finish GDI first to get it???
Heh, now I feel like playing this game.
Brotherhood of nod is a force specialized more in defense than in attacking and why not, obelisks are good way to deal with enemy's tough vehicles.
Just gotta love these guys anyway even though they clearly are weaker in weaponry than GDI is.
By the way, there is one funny trick in this game. When you collect lots of tiberium, if there won't be a commando stage coming next, you'll actually get some extra tiberium in next mission.

I remember the AI would air strike your northern-most unit and couldn’t get past sand bags. I used to love sand bagging the enemy base entrance and starving them out.
Often cheaper than waging actual war,
I used to blow up the churches to get money :)
90% of the time a church would contain a crate with money :)

common guys, wheres the love for General Mark Shephard? Haha just teasin' I know that wasn't funny. Anywho, Nod was simply better than GDI. the obelisk of light/flame tank/Sam site made for a wicked defense. Flame troops were cool in theory, but they barbecued themselves when used in groups so they were difficult to use.
I must say, you play good for being on a controller.

59 minutes, talk about good timing.
Props for doing this on PS1. Old RTS games on the PSX controller don't mesh well. My hand starts to hurt from the directional pad because games like this came out before analog control was even supported.
You can play with PlayStation mouse.
PC version is much better. It has shadows for units/buildings/trees/everything, more colors/better palettes, better and more different explosion animations, proper building buildup animations (not this ugly fade out effect), better controls (unit groups, fast scrolling, ctrl+alt guard move etc), savegames, map editor + custom user created missions, ...
nowadays PC version also has full HD and custom resolution support, many bugfixes and improvements in several community patches.
Nothing beats the PC original, I mean you gotta play RTS games with a mouse ,no question.
And then fast forward to june 2020, from your comment, and we got the excellent remaster. :)

Well TBH, it definitely is a lot worse than the PC. It uses the old DOS icons instead of the Win 95 ones, as well as being very low resolution.
It's also so far zoomed-in compared to the PC that I'm almost getting motion-sickness... must be annoying to play with such a small part of the screen visible.
EDIT: I just noticed how bad the build "animations" are also... the structures just fade in. I guess it must have been a lack of RAM? The PSX version seems to lose so much atmosphere.
