I cant wait to make this - I also needed to know how much icing sugar, so came to see the comments. Also please advise how much Elachi powder? I assume 1/2 teaspoon? Saying some doesn't help much :-) thank you ladies.

I personally prefer the water and sugar syrup recipes to the milk/fresh cream recipes. I tried a 5 min burfee last week and taste isn't as good.

Can you use regular sugar instead of icing sugar ?
Hi Sandhya. Elaine says you have to use icing sugar in the burfee, normal sugar will affect the texture.
