Stafold Barn is a very dangerous place - I nearly lost my head last time I was there, due to the continuous rapid spinning to see what was happening over there

A few corrections, Hastings is the oldest steamable Hunslet, Hodbarrow in the Museum is 6 years older but won’t be returned to steam. Prince was not England works number 2 (that was a road loco, but is only Ffestiniog fleet number 2 and was the third of the four small Englands to arrive after Mountaineer and Princess, he is also the oldest steam locomotive still in operation for the railway for which it was built anywhere in the world in any gauge. Next weekend sees the celebration of 150 years of the Quarry Hunslet type of loco and will see a small engine line up (with the exception of Isaac appearing) I was the duty guard on the train with Prince and Saccharine all weekend, should be in the same line next weekend and would love to say hello if you visit again. Most (all?) the stock is fitted with a form of "chopper", very similar to that used by the FR. It's a combined buffer and coupler. The coupler is (crudely) two hooks loosely mounted on eccentric pins which have weights on them. Drop the hooks over the buffer on the other vehicle and spin the weights to close the gap. The dangling chains are there so the wagons can be coupled to stock without the chopper couplers, but with chain hooks.

I am just wondering what is happening with that little secret video you tried to film over the Easter weekend, (I won't say what it is as I know you want it to be a surprise) It is just I was there and I saw you and I also the 'thing' that broke. Whenever it is finished, I will still be expecting an amazing video, but knowing you, and all the effort you put in for the sake of us on the internet, I'm sure you won't disappoint. I think the SBR did a better job at maintaining their engines including lil' Trangkil and the other three ex-Javanese Sugar Mills, because back in Java, they were alway scovered in dust and dirty (for an engine that was built for an industrialy Mill, I should've known that)

Hi Lawrie I am planning on rebuilding 7927 Willington Hall and building a Completely new Hall class number 7928 Harvington Hall and building two Bulleid pacific 4-6-2 locomotives Battle of Britain class number 34111 Neville Chamberlain and a West Country Class No.34112 named "SEVERN VALLEY" and I also Plan to purchase four German Steam locomotives One named Deefer and one named KIA and one named Lexi and one named Cicada three of the four German Steam Locomotives are going to be named after Family Pets and the The Whistle on Cicada is going to be louder the union pacific Big boy 4014's Whistle and you will be able to hear Cicadas Whistle from Birmingham that's how loud it is also Cicada and KIA and Deefer and Lexi may well be Touring around Belgium,France and Germany and Austria and Switzerland and Sweden and I may take Cicada to the USA to Meet Big Boy and so you never know Cicada May thunder down your Local railroad/Railway line Double heading with 4014 Big Boy and Cicada is going to be a 2-10-0 but I might modify the Wheel arrangement so instead of being a 2-10-0 she will be be a 4-12-0 But I may have a few issues with weight distribution and traction but who knows it may end up going well for me. Take care. Cheers. Lewis

Why would you want to new build a Hall or a Southern Pacific? We have more of them kicking about in preservation than anything else!
I would highly recommend joining the groups who own the existing engines and putting some of the millions into keeping them running, they'd certainly appreciate it!

@@lmm That's a good idea But I wanted to Rebuild Willington Hall and build two Bulleid pacifics and build a Hall class Because it gives me something to do and at the same time enthusiasts can get Great pictures of Willington Hall and Harvington Hall and Battle of Britain class number 34111 Neville Chamberlain and West Country Class No.34112 "SEVERN VALLEY" also I have been wanting to Rebuild No.7927 Willington Hall and build No.7928 Harvington Hall and two Bulleid pacific 4-6-2 locomotives For a few years now and seeing Taw Valley Double heading with No.34112 "SEVERN VALLEY" will be a unique sight as No.34112 "SEVERN VALLEY" is named after The Severn Valley Railway and the Names of the Two Halls and Bulleid pacifics will be unveiled by My Grandad Called Ronald Cartwright or Ron Cartwright but your idea is a good idea. @@lewiscartwright3609 I think enthusiasts would rather see the locomotives that need help and support being given money.
I also rather suspect that SVR wouldn't give permission for their name to be used on something that isn't under their control.
I suggest supporting one of the 20 West countries and Bob's that need your support, and they all have enough going on to give you something to do, rather than recreating more members of one of the most numerous classes in preservation.
