I felt the stress through the video😬 It is always terrible, when you are moving in a big vehicle and it breaks down at a narrow place. Hope it won't take too long to get on the road again.

Happens to the best of us Tim. I broke down in the middle lane of the M6 in one of my buses not long ago, luckily managed to limp in onto hard shoulder lol.

Shaun puts me in a good moo; in a somewhat Euphoric mood. No h0m0. Just because he's a funny, likeable guy, that's skilled at what he does. Definitely makes these videos 10x better when he's in them. I could watch hour long winch outs and recoveries if it's just Tim and Shaun.

I feel for you Tim, I broke down in a Car on a Roundabout and it was horrible. I ended having to ring Police for protection as I feared something was going to crash into me. Can't wait for Part 2.

Yea I think that first time She broke down. Whilst she still let you go on after that first stop and start of the engine. Should've parked her up for the night. But I think you pushed her too much and she gave in.

Most of us would have done the exact same,keep going and get it back to base or garage,9 times out of 10 it would be ok,just unlucky this time.
If we were to pull over and park up everytime a light flashed on dash then some days we'd get nowt done.
It is actually a cracking vid for showing what problems can arise for a lorry driver.
I would have done it exactly like you did(29yrs doing class one driving

Scania clutches are brilliant at pulling the release bearing apart! Happened many times on the coaches I work on.
Tim, It might be a blown coordinator, I saw the way your V8 starts up and studently the warnings appear at a lower speed or at a downshift. And the way the electrics flicker and it goes to Neutral.
I've never seen a Scania do that, OR the clutch really is blown from downshifting a Juicy sounding V8!
it’s not coordinator happened me one day was release bearing failure same faults
Nice video. Tim, on another note how do you know Bruce Wilson? My mate lives just down the road from him. I used to watch his videos from time to time when he was putting his Peterbilt on the road. I saw his first Scania video over in Daytona Beach when he picked up the Scania. I commented on that video explains the history of Scania in North America. I also told him of two that a friend of mine ran for Quatar formula 1 boat team based here in Orlando. So his was not the first or only one in the states as he first commented, before saying first UA-camr with a Scania. I also told Bruce to watch your channel especially as at that time you had just come back from a European show.
I guess he got pissed off at me for bursting his balloon and my comment was deleted. I did another the following day and that was deleted.
I’d be interested if he contacted you or vice versa.

HAD that volvo fm250 . auto box . Turned out to be block connector on g,box water gets in rots wires . SO ecu cant talk to g, box . VOLVO replaced block connector on gbox . CLEARED faults on the ECU / memory . JOB done

I always thought Clutch Overload was specific to the Mercs 😅 used to light up pulling heavy loads around the valleys in my old Axor, bless her. She retired to west Africa a few years ago. Hope shaun can fix her up ❤

oh by the way tim if your wondering who i am my names jake martins iam a HGV driver like you i used to work for data shredders a long time ago aswel and ive had my scania V8 since 2019 and its still in good shape like your aswel ive got underglow and everything its amaizing youve inspired me alot so i thankyou tim for all these videos

My dad's lorry had the same gearbox/clutch problem but we never found out what was wrong with the clutch we just got a new one fitted and everything worked. Maybe they're different problems but in his R520 it also said clutch malnufunction. Anyways nice video tim 😊
