Milena Markovna "Mila" Kunis is a Ukrainian-American actress born to a Jewish family in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. Her first gig was when she played a character named Melinda in Make a Wish, Molly (1995). From there, her career skyrocketed into big-budget films. Although she is mostly known for playing Jackie Burkhart on That '70s Show (1998), she has shown the world that she can do so much more. Since 1999, she provided the voice of self-conscious daughter Meg Griffin on the animated sitcom Family Guy (1999). Her breakthrough film was Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), in which she played a free-spirited character named Rachel Jansen. She has since starred or co-starred in the films Max Payne (2008), The Book of Eli (2010), Black Swan (2010), Friends with Benefits (2011), Ted (2012) and Oz the Great and Powerful (2013). Mila Kunis is married to actor Ashton Kutcher, with whom she has two children.
Yeah and she met Ashton Kutcher at age 14 and he was 20 (when they acted together). They married long after that. It’s been so much problematic things about Ashton surfacing lately. Just google Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Danny Masterson. And you’ll know Danny is a rapist and Ashton is fkd up, Mila just goes alongs with everything or something I don’t know what the hell is going on with that couple. They seem very ignorant…

In the USA especially in the SW states like Texas we are influenced by Mexico and Mexican food so we put a lot of sour cream on Mexican dishes to compliment the hot peppers…also in chip dip(onion dip made with sour cream for potato chips)that is where most of our sour cream is used.
I like your past videos ❤ you opened a window of your lifestyle and your beautiful country and cultures. I hope to see Ukraine 🇺🇦 free from Russian in the future 🙏 God bless all of Ukraine.
Food is a great way to learn about cultures, because everybody wants to celebrate what their country has to offer.this was mildly interesting.cottage cheese often has fine chopped chives (very mild raw onion flavour) and I love it
As for being dour, Ukrainians don’t typically walk around with a smile or engage strangers easily, they find every excuse for a party, celebration or holiday. I lived in Kyiv for a couple years, 6 months on Kreschatyk next to Maidan, and the city/street life below my balcony was very vibrant and festive, especially on Summer weekends when the city closes the street to cars and has impromptu festivals. Many Ukrainian tourists from other regions came there, too, and sat and sang songs during the fountain and light events at Maidan. The kids are kids. The food is excellent. Really great. Yes, sour cream with even sweeter dishes. They are particularly proud of their humor (Odesa) and music and the beauty of the women. They turned a gigantic part of the Podil area into pedestrian only and even put in a big Ferris Wheel. Really a great place. And, an easy place to visit because English is commonly spoken in the city and a large percentage of shops have English names.
Ukraine gets some good representation in video games, due to how many talented developers are from Ukraine. That's where most Western men learned about Ukraine, including me :)
western man know Ukraine for a very long time ( me from 1993 ) .... but behind your pc or phone you never discover real places like real man used to do !
Hello Taya thank you for sharing your reaction video and good to see you back on your channel. The videos I enjoy watching on your channel is life in the Ukrainian village and would love to see more videos like that in the future. Take care my friend and Slava Ukraini. 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇦
Foreign films are not usually popular in the US, so I think the Friends episode was just trying to show Ross as having nothing exciting to do. They probably just picked Ukraine totally randomly. It wasn't really a comment about the Ukranian film industry.
the 'ukrainian film' the tv show 'friends' she is watching was poking fun at 'Enemy at the Gate' A war story about two snipers in Stalingrad, one a Nazi and one a Russian, who face each other in a chess game of life and death. The film is inspired by true events, but the romance and the soppy stuff are a distraction from the drama of the duel. Vassili (Jude Law) is a young Russian sharpshooter who becomes a legend when a savvy political officer (Joseph Fiennes) makes him the hero of his propaganda campaign. Their friendship is threatened when both men fall in love with a beautiful female soldier (Rachel Weisz). As the battle for the city rages, Vassili faces the ultimate challenge when the Nazi command dispatches its most elite marksman (Ed Harris) to hunt down and kill the man who has become the hope of all Russia.
Oh my gosh, a friend from Kremenchuk told me I should listen to Verka Serduchka. Ever since then, I really enjoy it! It is such fun music! I totally forgot that Verka was in "The Spy." I think I saw that movie before I knew who he was.
Hello Taya. It is good to see you are posting new videos again ! I have seen almost all your videos so i am happy to see this. Please continue. I especially like your travel and tour type videos so I hope you will post some about things you have experienced and places you have visited in California / US.
In the 90s friends was popular with people in their teens and early 20s. But Seinfeld was the overall best comedy show of the 90s. Taya, if you haven’t watched Seinfeld then I highly recommend it.
Hello Taya. I highly recommend you watching Olga Kurylenko and Milla and Ever Jovovich. Two brilliant Ukrainian actresses and my personal favourites. Also, you should analyse Irina Spalko's accent in Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the Crystal skull
Taya, I would have to say before the large scale war in Ukraine, us Americans have been very ignorant of Central and Eastern Europe. Myself for example, at one time I had thought Russia and Ukraine were pretty much the same. But after meeting my wonderful girlfriend from Kropyvnytskyi, I see it very differently now. Now trying to get her to at least visit the US on a B-2 visa, which isn't easy! BTW, you Ukrainians do love sour cream about as much as us Americans like Ketchup!
Sorry for the random cut on the moment of Emily in Paris! UA-cam took monetization of me using that content! But I wanted to leave my explanation. If you want to find it- season 2, episode 4
Petra and Petar is one of most common names in South Slavic speaking area and in some other south and central European countries, for example Croatian tennis player Petra Marčinko and king from 10 century Petar Krešimir, now it is of Greek origin and very usable for names of any European character, i am actually surprised that in Ukraine it is not really used that much.
Great episode, sour cream also goes well with very spicy California Mexican food and very spicy Indian curry. It's also always great to hear critiques on how Hollywood loves to twist things up just enough to get ratings. I hope one day to be able to experience a Ukrainian style party and/or dinner event, thank you for the video!
Yes, some of the stereotypes are false, but some are true. One night in Kyiv I took my interpreter on a dinner cruise and we ended up trapped on a riverboat with a group of drunk Ukrainians drunk and partying like that band on the stage in your movie clip. We spent all evening trying to unplug the speakers at the bow of the boat to get a little quiet, but we could not escape the party. It was like being in the middle of a German beer-hall Umpah-pah band. My interpreter was so embarrassed by the stereotypical scene. Another well-made episode! You did a great job using television shows to make your point. I'm sure your visit to the US was quite an interesting experience.
Something that has been lost in today's age is comedy and joking of each other's culture/heritage. I'm nearly 60 years old and grew up watching All in the Family, The Jeffersons, etc. Back then, no one took offense or took it personal at teasing each other on where they came from, how they looked, or their sexual orientation. Today, it's not tolerated at all and to me it puts everyone on edge. I saw it as a way to celebrate our differences and at the end of the day, we could have a few laughs. It has been part of our comedy TV culture and maybe it comes across to harshly to others that aren't used to it. In the US, we're mostly immigrants from other cultures so it's sort of a weird celebration of where our forefathers came from. We also have many cultural festivals throughout the summer months and enjoy going to German, Irish, Polish, festivals, etc. Taya, Maybe you could get some Ukrainian festivals going over here in the states. That would be fun. Cheers!
I enjoy your videos that explain your culture. Maybe it’s your lovely accent. I think before the war there was a general stereotype in America that the people and culture of Ukraine were extraordinarily beautiful and somewhat exotic. I still think that way, but the war has shown us that you are a lot more like us than we knew. “Resilient” is the word that comes to mind now. Glory to Ukraine!
Hi Taya 👋 , I really enjoy your videos. I never thought they were boring , but I’m not young either lol . Good luck with your channel . I watch your channel to know what’s going on in Ukraine. I’m glad you are safe and hope you stay safe and keep making videos. ❤
I like your videos on Ukranian life best-especially the village life... None are boring lol. I recently watched an animated film called "Mavka-the Forest Song" based on a Ukranian folk tale which was really beautiful and sponsored by the Ukranian state film agency. Anna from Ukraine did a video on how to prepare Borscht-she was keen on the sour cream! Thanks for this interesting video!❤🧡💛
It’s Patois Jamaican(Patwah)and called Jamaican Creole is an English-based creole language with West African, Taíno, Irish, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, Chinese, and German influences. The majority of non-English words in Patois derive from the West African Akan language. Hello Taya. Happy New year to you. Another Great video. By the way NONE of your videos are boring. We ❤ them a lot....at least I do.😊😊 We love you Taya. Keep them coming.💙💛🇺🇦❤❤🇺🇸
In Canada you can get a chicken Kyiv at an M&Ms store.. it comes in a small plastic package and is somewhat expensive for what you get... but it is very delicious... basically its like a hollow piece of chicken but with lots of butter inside. After its cooked, there's a liquid butter puddle all around the chicken and what I do is cut the chicken in pieces and dip them in this butter sauce... Not sure if its true Ukrainian though or based.
In the U.S. people had no problem with cultural stereotypes in the ‘80s and ‘90’s and found them humorous if they weren’t intentionally hurtful in nature, all before political correctness tried to take all the humor out of movies and t.v. The Jerk with Steve Martin is a perfect example of how humorous movies used to be. Thank you so much for sharing your reactions, Taya.
Nice concept! If you make more of them check out: Family guy: Lois boxing (Ukrainian boxer) How I meet your mother: Marshall’s suit (Ukrainian tailor) Clips easy to find here on YT:)
It was interesting as I had never watched Friends (I had discovered Cable years before that show was popular) and I somehow missed Spy. I think you are half right many Americans overlapped the USSR when thinking of Ukraine and for us many of the countries that broke out of the Warsaw Pact and the USSR had much further to go (some still do) before we stopped thinking of them as Soviets hiding under a new name. The way Yugoslavia broke up with their ethnic wars didn't really give most Americans a warm fuzzy feeling about people from that region. In truth it wasn't until after the 2014 invasion most Americans began to see Ukraine as a country really trying to distance itself as not being part of Russia anymore.
Haha, you’re supporting your own channel ~ that’s funny! I’ve not been to the US but from what you say I’d guess you’d be more at home with the food in Aus. We are very multicultural here. Anyway, glad to see you’re getting on and hope your plans are developing. Ciao!
LIKE I SAID I WAS IN VIETNAM 2 ANDA HALF YEARS...I ORDERED CHICKEN KOTLETA ALL THE TIME (IN AMERICA I MAKE IT)...THERE'S A BIG UKRAINIAN COMMUNITY IN PHILADELPHIA *PHILLY) AS WELL AS RUSSIAN AND SMALL UKRAINIAN FOOD MARKETS IN THE NORTHEAST OUT BUSTLETON AVENUE PHILLY...RESTAURANTS TOO...PETROVSKY'S AND SO ON...I AM A SURGICAL INTENSIVE CARE AND TRAUMA UNIT NURSE (SICU) BUT I HAVE A 1000 COOKBOOKS FROM ALL OVER THE W🌍RLD ...ORDERED FROM RUSSIAN RESTAURANTS IN 🇻🇳 VIETNAM
That is a popular approach of youtubers and you are like a ''REAL PERSON'' in this youtube world so i like to see a fellow Human Being doing stuff everyone enjoy.
Your videos weren't "random and boring"! I loved the ones from your village and around Kiev. And who doesn't like sour cream? I put that s**t on everything! That's a line from some brand of hot sauce they sell over here.
In Australia chicken kyiv is huge And yes western countries have no idea how party loving and high energy Ukrainian people are, very carefree and open minded
I could not get through the last part without falling asleep, 3 times I watched it there's something about your voice/accent or the words that has me falling asleep sometimes. As for dairy, I used to eat sour cream on loaded nachos at a taco shop, it was extremely tasty but probably way too unhealthy also on baked potato with chives, I had it recently and it hurt my heart. Cottage cheese I remember eating once it was wet like yogurt in texture and lumpy like fat and it didn't have any taste hardly, some syrniki I see online the cheese looks dry and may have a better taste and texture.
I like your channel! You are a pretty young lady & I like your take on on things in Ukraine. Sour cream on everything??? OMG! I love it! I would get fat in no time! 😏 ( Sour cottage cheese? Possibly it was past its expiration date.) One delicious cottage cheese fruit "salad." Large container cottage cheese, canned mandarin oranges, marshmallows, chopped nuts & a package of jello flavor of choice mixed with a large amount of whipped cream! Soo good!
Hollywood often creates tropes of our nationalities. Try not to take it personally. For example, I made a lot of friends from Kazakhstan around the time that Sasha Cohen was promoting Borat. My friends would politely nod whenever someone mentioned it, and it didn’t take long to realize how sophisticated they all were.

I found it interesting, I love cottage cheese with garden tomatoes. But I never eat sour cream.
I love sour cream specially as a supplement to fried fish :) That is usually what it is used for here in Norway where I come from.
Thank you for pointing out and explaining the different spellings Taya-I will try to remember

But on another trip, about 20 years ago, I was amazed at the bright shops, stylish fashions and profusion of smartphones - which were more prevalent than what we were using at the time. It was a real eye-opener for me.
Hi dear Taya, happy to see you again! Interesting video about hollywood. Stay Strong and Happy! Greetings from Hellas!
I think we should not read too much into this. Some comments may also be meant ironic in the sense that they make fun of their own ignorance.

Hi, Taya, I am from Czech republic, so I know the name PETRA very well- It is a typical and very favourite CZECH girl name. The boy name is PETR.
That is a popular approach of youtubers and you are like a ''REAL PERSON'' in this youtube world so i like to see a fellow Human Being doing stuff everyone enjoy.
I hope your gonna make videos walking around in LA.
Your videos weren't "random and boring"! I loved the ones from your village and around Kiev. And who doesn't like sour cream? I put that s**t on everything! That's a line from some brand of hot sauce they sell over here.
Ukraine very very beautiful. Zaman Australia Sydney
Hi Taya! Thank you for your entertaining video! I think you are fascinating and funny! Take care, from central Illinois!
J’ai connais une fille Belgique nommée Petra
In Australia chicken kyiv is huge
And yes western countries have no idea how party loving and high energy Ukrainian people are, very carefree and open minded
Hello Taya.. Petra is finnish girls name..
I like the show friends too
Petra in Greek means Rock. But there are no Greek names of this origins, or are rare!
Oh Taya you are SOOOOOO Precious!!!!!! We in the USA LOVE you and LOVE Ukraine!!!
Hallo Taya saya menonton video anda dari Indonesia, itu sangat bagus.terimakasih Taya Tuhan memberkati anda dan keluarga.
I once had a dvd about Taras Bulba and it was NOT the hollywood version, lol, Slava Ukraini! 😮😊❤🇺🇦🇩🇰✌️
Taya you are awesome. Love your videos; have learned so much from your work. Just keep up good work and let your creativity go wild.
you know in Emily in Paris everybody especially french people are stereotyped, it's part of the show.
why no Instagram account for Taya, UA-cam?
10:33 the writer didn't get that the Ukrainians are more about free, as in libery, not gratis. :D
