KHTV Commercial Breaks (November 23, 1997)

- Taken from two movies, Steel Magnolias and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, both airing on then-WB affiliate KHTV (channel 39) in Houston. Today, the station is affiliated with The CW, and goes by the call letters KIAH (Houston's airport code). Sadly, this is the only thing I have from Houston, weird that it was found in a bunch of Albany stuff!
Both movies aired at different times, but I merged the commercials together regardless. KHTV, which was two years into Tribune ownership, was your typical Tribune-owned WB station, with movies and programming other stations didn't carry in addition to WB shows. Jim Cutler voices pretty much everything, except Brian Cummings does the Roger Rabbit bumpers (probably because he was a Disney VO).
(C) 1997 Tribune Broadcasting; KIAH is now owned by Nexstar Media Group. All rights go to their respective owners, same for the advertisements. For educational and historical purposes only. We don't profit off this video.
Thanks for the upload! I love searching for old Houston, TX commercials! Hope to see more surprise Houston content in the future!
Thanks for the upload, I got three tapes from eBay with some WB 39 commercials
This is NOT to be confused with KTHV, which is the Tegna-owned CBS affiliate in Little Rock, AR.
KHTV changed it's call letters to KHWB 2 years later to reflect its WB affiliation.
Its KIAH today
