HM racing shifters are the carlsberg of shifters.. mines lasted around 9 years with no problems..it finally gave up the ghost last week and HM replacement under out of warranty for a small fee...if everyones customer service was as good as them we'd all be extremely happy bikers.... HM all the way..
Thanks, this was a perfect example to follow for installing my shift rod with HM shifter. The thing I was unclear about was whether or not you should tighten a locknut against the strain gauge. I see you have tightened a locknut against the front of the strain gauge and you tightened the shift rod against the back of the strain gauge. By tightening locknut and shift rod, doesn't that put pressure on the strain gauge the same as if you were making a shift? That was my concern in installing the shift rod with strain gauge.
Thanks for posting this video, I've just ordered the same quickshifter, and will be fitting to a K5 also. Do you quickshift between 1st and 2nd, and if so, how do you find it?
Hi mate, great vid! It really helped with my install... Hey one question, did you try it with the seamless shift off and on? I'm just curious, I just fitted the HM QS Plus (not SS) and it feels a bit jerky mid to low rpm. Was just wondering if the Seamless Shift really makes a difference, if so I might have to sell mine on Ebay :/
Thanks for the video it was very informative. How is the gsx r going otherwise? Are you enjoying it? Did the get those other problems with the stalling fixed?may I ask about your vfr? Do you still have it?
Hello, I need help if possible. I'm trying to fit a Shifter and the gear selector sticks to it. I saw that you made adjustments to the video, how do I resolve it so it doesn't crash? Thanks.
friend, how are you, here in Brazil it is difficult to buy this model GSXR 1000. could you help me, i would really like to buy it, would you sell me this accessory, for me..
hey bud, what do you mean when you say you can't rev it? does it have some kind of adverse affect on the bike? I'm thinking about getting one for my bike.
First things first has that bike had its recall for the frame welds snapping ? Lovely to know your safe when your tonking over 180mph. Typical Suzuki lol
+floydiangreen Quickshifters work by momentarily interrupting the engines power delivery to unload the gearbox by either cutting fuel, spark or both. This allows you to shift gears without using the clutch at all. In this case it interrupts the engines power for 60ms or less which is far quicker than a rider can achieve.
No you need the GP model if you want to specify times for each gear, the SS model automatically adapts the kill time for each gear so you don't need to bother with it anyway :)
That edit at 23:35 surprised me for a second when all the cars crossing just disappeared.

Get a closed loop quickshifter, it doesn't need any adjustments and works seamlessly every time.
Great, i want instal on my bike
can you Rev the engine up with one of this on the gsxr

Hello,
I need help if possible.
I'm trying to fit a Shifter and the gear selector sticks to it.

Thanks.
Why not Just adjust the lever on the shift shaft?
I know this video is 4 years old but do you have links to where you got the clutch rods and all the kit needed to make this upgrade :)
It is for up and down shifting?
What about the seamless shifting? Have you tried it?

How does it affect down shifting? If at all?
23:32 traffic deleted, clear road. lol :D
+TheRzMike I can erase anything!

He (most likely) meant if he revved it up he would be doing 170 km/h in a 70 km/h zone.

kill time?
what does it do and how does it work?

So, can you use it also from first to second gear?! It would be awesome!
You can use it for all gears just not downshifting :)
All the things u see in the internet a bike with a quick shifter and auto blipper has no business being on the road
