I think a great 3-person combo would be Lure, Ocean, and Nightmares. Ocean covers the coast, Lure covers inland, and Nightmares moves Invaders around to where you need them.
@@Iamwrongbut i found the opposite actually, that it was a fairly weak combo. Ocean wants people who can push out, lure only sucks in. They pretty much just both do there own thing and ignore the other, and it works fine, but its a lot less OP then like Bringer/Oceans or Oceans/River
@@Brian0033 I haven't played jagged earth, but I think you are probably right. Ocean and Lure both want spirits that *push* to partner with, not spirits that gather. A three or four player game with lure, ocean and river/bringer might be seriously powerful though.
At 1:50, Enthrall the Foreign Explorers says to ignore 2 explorers for each presence, but the narrator says this needs a sacred site. Which one is true?
The correct rule is the printed one: "For each of your presence in a land, ignore up to 2 explorers during the Ravage step and any Ravage actions." Sorry for the confusion! -Trevor
Is the special rule for Enthrall the Foreign Explorers in the picture outdated, or is the narration about the rule wrong? It currently says ignore 2 explorers per presence, while the narration says it's ignore 2 explorers if you have a sacred site.

This is awesome! I got the base game for a friend, and we've been hooked. I'd also love to see more reviews of the new Spirits that are coming out in Jagged Earth! Specifically Shattered Days Split the Skies. That one looks awe inspiring and terrifying all in the same breath
Good video once again! Could you perhaps publish more than one of these each month? At this rate you won't get all of them out before Jagged Earth is expected to be ready for delivery (20 spirits left and only 4 months until JE).
Jon Velasco to trigger the top part of the power which states that “After this power replaces pieces with explorers gather any number of those explorers into your lands”
Ocean's Hungry Grasp doesn't really share a whole lot of parallels with Lure of the Deep Wilderness. OHG has a very thematic tidal presence system and a complex "Swallow them whole" energy system. None of this is present in Lure, who instead relies on the natural hazards of the island and its unique "never heard from again" mechanic. The common thread is, you can't really get presence inland with Ocean's Hungry Grasp, and you can't really get it on the coast with Lure of the Deep Wilderness.
What is the software you use to demonstrate these spirits and is it available for consumer use? Also, how much work goes into this videos from idea generation to publishing?
Hey Trevor, I use the software Blender to model and animate the components. Generally it takes a few weeks to go from script to finished video. Once animated, the longest part of the process is rendering out the final images. -Trevor
I just noticed now this video kept mentioning sacred sites over and over again. For the special rule, for gather with the first innate and so on. The special rule mentions presences and the innate talks about your lands. "But you have to have a sacred site to do a lot of your fun stuff..." Absolutely nothing needs a sacred site for this spirit according to all the elements in the game. Which is wrong, the video or the text and targeting for this spirit and its cards? Did it use sacred site before it came out and it stuck so much you got it wrong in this video?
I like the idea behind this spirit and i want to play him, but i think all this extra tokens are making the board unclear and confusing... (same criticism for other spirits)

I've been trying different 3 man combos for the past week and ocean/bringer is one of my favorite duos so pretty stoked about lure!
Epic Team Combo: Lure of the Deep Wilderness and Ocean's Hungry Grasp. Of course.
This is absolutely the first combo I will play when I get my copy
Pokebro921 better up the difficulty because that combo is basically OP

please keep pumping these out, love it
I am really excited for this spirit, this is basically the playstyle I use for Keeper of the Forbidden Wilds.
I love your tutorial videos. Such a joy to watch.
I really like these vidéos they're much faster to understand than reading a wall of text :)

What a creepy spirit... I can't wait!
Name of the background music please 🙏
Am I missing something on the innate power “forsake”.... the first level “replace 1 EXPLORER with 1 EXPLORER”.... what’s the benefit of that?
Jon Velasco to trigger the top part of the power which states that “After this power replaces pieces with explorers gather any number of those explorers into your lands”
@@momtom10 Interesting!
Great stuff though i feel like a lot of the information in it is predicated on a Ocean's Hungry Grasp video... Which right now is not a thing.

I was referring more to how often the comparison gets made in the video.
Why is the Badlands token yellow rather than white, like it is on the Kickstarter???
More!

They are wonderful. I hope you get to do more of them.
More please!!
Great Stuff!
You really are batman, you reviewed this before it premiered

Most of the tokens were introduced in the Branch and Claw expansion.
