How To Stop Rain Water From Flooding Into The Garage

Backyard flooding and yard drainage ideas from Texas Drain Solutions. This homeowner , frustrated by rain flooding into the garage , reached out for some drainage solutions. The concrete border along the flower bed , trapped the out flowing water from the rain gutter downspout. This encouraged the water to enter the garage at the corner near the downspout. Texas Drain Solutions installed a subsurface downspout drain with a 4" inch surface drain in the corner. The driveway had a subtle swale for water diversion , however the sod from the yard would not allow the water to drain. We installed a 9" x 9" catch basin by NDS to collect and divert the water collected on the driveway. The discharge drain line was directed to a nearby creek for stormwater run off.
