Oh man, this is an amazing modernization of the Warcraft 2 Human music. The Orc one is the same and that's wonderful. Orchestration > MIDI.
Definately wc3 human vibes, sadly im not too familiar with wc2 music

Considering that I became acquainted with this universe by playing Warcraft 2 in my distant childhood, I was very shocked to hear the remaster from Glen himself. I love this soundtrack

I haven't played Warcraft 2, but this reminds me of great music of great little known RTstrategy games back then, like Settlers 2. Just perfect.
Part D 8:44 is very similar to the theme from the ps1 version of Warcraft 2 The Dark Saga!
Don't care for Shadowlands. Occasionally checking cinematic videos. But when I heard this in the background, I knew I need to search for this. Genius move remaking the original Warcraft soundtracks!

I have to say... After all these years the shadowlands soundtrack feels kind of directionless compared to the past expansions in some areas. There are quite a few pieces from shadowlands I definitely like, like this one, but it's just not a comparison to for example Cataclysm, mists, wod, legion damn like almost every expansion until now had pure masterpieces. I feel like it got a little less good since Russel Brower left to work on other projects. I think he was an integral part of the awesomeness of all these soundtracks. After legion when he left it almost instantly felt a lot more directionless in the music department. It's really a shame because the game Brower did a lot of music for now isn't even good. It's even a spit in the face for the warcraft franchise just copying themes, visuals and ideas.
Like the music in wow always had very crisp themes and such a perfect feel and direction to it. That for me lacks at least a bit from the SL soundtrack but I do not want to judge too quickly. The Revendreth Theme is absolutely amazing, night fae is also very awesome. It's not like there is nothing to enjoy, not at all actually.
But for Russel Brower. I hope he'll come back to azeroth music. He and the entire team of composers really created not just good music, they created so many gorgeous musical ideas and themes and styles which will for sure always be a part of me.
Russell Brower was laid off, he didn't leave by himself. He has even said on his Twitter that he would love to make music for WoW again. Also, just my opinion, but after 6.0 his music got really bland and boring in my opinion.. just listen to 6.2 and 7.2 music that was all by him. Gotta say, 7.3 music by Glenn Stafford was such a breath of fresh air after hearing the music from 7.2. Russell is great, but his music just got boring after 6.0.
@@slinttu1378 Oh, I didn't know that he was layed off. Hm.. I agree that some of the music from these patches were kinda generic. Still sad to have him gone with his fantastic work on cataclysm for example. Also if I remember correctly he also did most of the log in screen themes which always were pretty outstanding. They do feel just mashed together since he is gone.
@@cainen6355 Yes, that is one of the things i really liked that he always had the Login screen music done with an actual orchestra, and not just copy pasting the ingame themes together. This is why Cataclysm is my favourite expansion in terms of music, because all of the music was played by live musicians, and because Cata music in general was just amazing. Cata login screen is just so amazing..
I'm not sure how I feel about this. It's a good track but not a good starting zone track.

@@SirThompshire Wayy too overblown and "epic". These new zones are completely missing the point of a starting zone. Classic did it much, much better.
@@LURKTec I think these are great for starter zomes because they are based on wc3/wc2 music, plus I dont think this is the only music that plays there, and I do agree to some degree t has nothing to do with the vanilla/cata ones, but imo this is better for the new experience, wouldnt make sense to kill a few boars and then get catapulted to the battle of lordaeron, here they already establish you as a member of the army with some experience, which explains the more heroic music
@@LURKTec It is supposed to make up for the entire new experience, not be background ambience. Exile's reach is full of questing adventure in a set story arc which includes cinematics and cutscenes. I think this music is simply perfect.
