Great premise, lose the hole in the floor and you have something there. Timed bouts just like the real thing would be epic, bring out the big hole after 60 or 90 seconds to keep a dull match from running on but let the fighters fight. That's what we came to see.
Awesome video. I'm still amazed at the number of Roboteers that end up in the pit themselves without any help from others! Until I build a robot myself, I guess I'll never know how easy that really is!
A lot of that's because, if you lose the IR signal, your robot keeps moving for a few seconds on its own and you can't make it stop. It was especially bad under the extra spotlights in the evening. Maybe they put out a lot of IR, or perhaps strobe in some way we can't see that interferes.
Slightly bigger arena and no hole in the floor and this would be pretty sweet. Lego should really push this theme too, make stronger motors for it, etc.
Brilliant video! Thanks for putting this together. Better than anything I've done. The editing format and music worked really well. Some awesome looking fights in there too.
These were filmed at the Great Western Brick Show at the Steam Museum in Swindon; but there are a few other Lego conventions around the country that do robot fights as well!
That hole in the middle is dumb it takes out alot of the fun
Ye should be by ko

Or make it like 2-3 just for maximum destruction

Thumper: I guess I'll die.
Axe Thing: I guess I'll die, too.

Low Blow's weapon is so ineffective, it can't even damage sacrificial lamb!
Champion is the pit.

Here's a thought... Move the pit.
1:14 I like how one robot falls into the pit then the other decides to follow suite.
Homie was like *I'LL SAVE YOU!!!!*
Man, I'd love to hear Jonathon Pearce commentate a few of these!
That sheep got destroyed all the time, but it was very fun to see!
At least he requires being knocked out manually. Nuts knocks himself out.
its a lamb
The intro is more sitcom than death battle, but I like it
This has been my childhood since 2020
I like Axe thing because it's comfortable with my eye
Remover the pit or make the arena bigger plz
Every time I see that lamb. I just laugh as it slowly disintegrates into pieces.
true yeetmaster, true
Would actually be quite an interesting challenge. Would take some clever building techniques to make them durable.
i made a lego lightweight combat robot called the mulcher! (it did not compete at this event, it is the lego equivenalt of a lightweight.)
Would love to see these battles without the hole in the center.
Brilliant video! Thanks for putting this together. Better than anything I've done. The editing format and music worked really well. Some awesome looking fights in there too.
The winner of the event: the pit
That middle square is the real one…….taking everyone out
Thanks Jamie for a great video. Axe Thing looks quite the pit-seeking missile!
Nice but the arena could be bigger or get a different trap cause a lot of fights end in it lol.
Mr chopper looks like tombstone i think
broken in transit looks like free shipping 2018
02:14 i can't stop laugh at this moment
Rookie player builds in plane crazy be like:
Somehow, someway, someone has probably stepped on one of those pieces
4:34 where did Axe thing's wheel go?
Adhesive applicant is needed here! Buy more lego create another! Take it to the Primordial Bizz
I love how most bots throw themselves to the pit
Like axe thing, who immediately just went there intentionally 🗿
I really want to build a robot for this.
Does anybody know what is the size of the arena? And size of the pit?
Love it!
i love how lego nuts is just as about as effective as robot wars nutz
Nuts in series 10...
What wheels was axe thing using?
Cool vid and battles. Just wondering if there is currently any weight allowance for walking or shuffling bots?
Thanks! No, the weight limit we have is the same for all robots.
here for IT homework
Remove the pit. The drivers are too shit to avoid it
Where do these take place?
These were filmed at the Great Western Brick Show at the Steam Museum in Swindon; but there are a few other Lego conventions around the country that do robot fights as well!
Maybe remove the hole
worst driving bots ever 1:14 -1:17
I love half of these aren't legos
All the robots are 100% Lego. That's one of the rules.
@@jamiedouglas1537 I see chunks of metal...
@@loading...2618 Yes, Revolution used old Lego parts made from metal - I believe they were train level crossing weights
