I appreciate the video, Jennifer. As always, you're on point. For me, perhaps I'd like this system if I hadn't used your system or Sarah Renee Clark's Color Cubes. I feel like there's too much I need to do with this Zollie Palette Scout. When I'm creating, I want to pick my colors and keep it moving. This system makes me feel like I did when I was in math class with those questions like, "if Sally had four newspapers, and gave one away on her route and picked up five more customers, but lost three customers two and a half days ago, how many newspapers are left?" 🤣🤣🤣 I'm exaggerating, of course, but this is how the Palette Scout is making me feel. You don't even sound too sure as I'm watching the video. Ummm. . .right now, this system is a no for me, but I'll revisit if they make it easier to select. And for those crafters working in smaller areas, all that spreading out the deck and reading and matching cards. No! Who has time for all of that? 😉

Thank you for sharing. There are so many new and/or great old products that most of us don't get exposed to without UA-camr's such as yourself. Thank you for caring and sharing.

Thank you for the great revue! I can see advantages to each of the color picker systems. But as a retired art teacher I really like the thorough coverage of color theory in your Quick Color Picker. All of the information and tools that are included make it easy to choose pleasing color schemes. The Color Cube system is super for the quantity of color schemes and the great photos to go with them. The Palette Scout looks fun to play with. As a quilter I could see carrying the cards with me to pick out fabric. I guess it sounds like I "need" all three!😄

The analogous color scheme suggestion in this set IS incorrect and something the manufacturer should correct. YOUR analysis is correct. I'm an experienced color theory user so I can make the leap, but for most colorists and crafters this mistake is misleading and confusing. I left a message for the manufacturer. You might want to do the same. BTW - your color picker is far easier to use and considerably more comprehensive. Sarah Renay Clark's color cubes are a wonderful compliment to your book,

I'd rather recommend 'Essential Color Card Deck' alongside with 'Ultimate 3-in-1 Color Tool' both by Joen Wolfrom. Those have been originally created for any professionals working with colors, so much more accurate and precise to begin with.
Also much cheaper and much more easier to use and understand.
And no, this is NOT paid advertisement. This opinion is based solely on my experience with these products.

Hi Jennifer & Steve! Let me just say..thank you so much for figuring this system out for us and explaining it in a way that makes sense. I think the Palette Scout can be useful. I see it as a great tool to take with you if you are traveling and can help pick out color combos because it is compact. With that being said, I think it seems a little complicated for me. Thank you again for taking the time to showcase this product. I really appreciate you both, and Little Rose of course.

I have a colour wheel that has 18 colours and a smaller one that has 12 colours. I use both of them. I also have your Quick color picker that I got digitally when I first joined your group. It is not as advanced as your new one with all the extra combinations. I live in South Africa so getting your actual printed book would be too expensive. Love watching your videos, always learn something new.

Yeah, I have the same issue: cost. I live in Europe and getting anything from the US, especially anything with a bit of weight, is way too expensive. Not just shipping, but then there's the import duties too 😭
How do you like the digital version? Did you print it out or do you use it on your computer/laptop/tablet?

I printed the digital one out and have it in a flip file. Very helpful in chosing colours@@leonnehaaijman4709

Thanks for taking the time to figure this out and present it in an understandable way. Personally I think it’s WAY too complex. I just finished up all the color scheme worksheets that you provide and I feel like that’s a far more useful color-picking tool for me.

Thanks for the review. It is an interesting system and beautifully organized. However, I'm not sure it would help colorists choose palettes as much as Sarah Renee's catalog or even palettes on Pinterest where you can see the combinations working together in an image.

As someone who paints and crochets etc I think I would find this very useful! Much more useful than the colour cubes which I own.

I do like this. Although I am partial to Sarah Renae Clark’s Cube cards. They help me to visualize my coloring page.

Hello, hello, hello in real time. I’ve been watching your four year old videos. I’m loving you. I ordered the Sarah package, but I’m not sure my order went through. A shipping issue I think.

Interesting. It looks a bit complicated but your review was helpful. Thanks for your explanation of the product. It might be fun to use for novelty with adult colouring.

Jennifer I just don't know. Just like the color cubes which look pretty. For me this is overwhelming . I was introduced to a book (Practical Color Combinations, A Resource Book by Naomi Kuno.) Imogen, Colouring Kid introduced this & it's my go to. Take a look if you wish. Interested in your take on this book. Thank you

I really like this set, and the Color Cube looks fab too, but it's just way too expensive to get it shipped to Europe. We need a European company to do something similar 🙂

With SRC, there are so many options. However The Quick Color Picker (QCP), has it broken down by pencil brand. The Pallet Scout, too much time will be taken to pick your colors. Additionally, it does take up extra space. It could be because I don't t have the hang of it.
I can see possibly using The Pallet Scout when picking out card stock, while your shopping. However, the SRC can be pulled up on your phone. Same with the QCP. You can also take the SRC cards with you, as well as swatches from the QCP..
Personally, the price plus shipping on the Pallet Scout, is to high. To be honest, for using in coloring books, I would not purchase it nor use it. Many people use Pinterest or other sites. I am NOT a fan of it because I like it in my hands. I tried using Pinterest but too much ink is used and some printers don't print the colors correctly.
Does it work? I would say no!
    Thanks for the review!

Good idea but I would of rather had them just call them the correct names of color so people can actually learn color theory. People should learn the name of a color such as violet and that it lean warm (red-violet) or cool (blue violet). Companies love to create their own color names but they are not unique, they are all just tonal hues with black, white, warm and cool gray or shades of brown or other colors mixed in. The quicker you can learn to ignore the silly name and focus on the true color and how color theory works the more liberated you will be in coloring. You will stop stressing over a specific pencil in a tutorial and just grab one that is close in the brand you have and just color.
