Thanks for shedding light on that! The difference between the wing's and the stab's angle of incidence is not a way to increase lift, but to provide built-in pitch stability. When the wing's angle of attack decreases, the stab will rise into the slipstream to act as an up elevator. You might call it a pitch axis equivalent to dihedral. That's what we used before proportional radios. The drawback is obviously a tendency to pitch up when speed increases.

I wonder what is the point of that plastic tube in the airspeed sensor mount, or even the mount itself? The sensor typically has a specially shaped metal tube which needs to be mounted outside, and two air lines leading back to the circuit board. The air lines connect to the metal tube in a very ungainly fashion which takes quite a bit of space, so that whole foam mount does not look even a tiny bit helpful. I guess maybe that feature was designed by the 'clueless' team member...
Actually... there are a number of autopilots, which do not use this weird and useless metal tube thing... but use just a regular tube sticking out of the plane somewhere... and plugs into the autopilot! The Cyclone Tornado and MFD Crossbow come to mind... out of experience! There might be others... and they seem to work well that way, so this thing would be awesome useful for them!

Mini Talon is one of the legendary long range FPV Bird in my list of FPV Planes. Have you seen the new one the V2? that thing is awesome like a scud missile. so aerodynamic and high speed cruiser. one of my friend just got it setup here and he simply loves it. Wish I can find time to get back to long range FPV and I would love to get one Mini Talon V2
I think for the most part people come to quick conclusions and start hyping things... especially the bad ones... and he got triggered... again... really does not speak well for him indeed! Accusations are not needed... nor harsh words or insults... just tell your side of the story, and show it... no need to insult people!
Hope you didn't tear open the fuse to get to the soldering points for those connecters , the pins on the outside of the fuse that go into the wing are lightly glued so you can gently pull it out to solder your wires then just glue it back.
@@ArxangelRC Yes i wouldn't change anything. It's not often that you'll find a pusher FPV plane that can do flat spins and 3d stuff when you get bored . The conditions you did your 1st test flight was perfect. I personally think that doing a maiden should be done in calm conditions as possible to get the perfect feel for the plane and trimmed out perfectly. Thanks for the great reviews.

This reminds me of my Multiplex Blizzard. It was a get little hotliner but sometimes would stall without warning and for no apparent reason. After seeing the three reviews on the airloader so far, I've come to the conclusion that you have to keep the speed up to stop it becoming unpredictable. That's not what I want from a long range aircraft. I expect a long range aircraft to be able to look after itself and stay in the air if the radio fails. E.G. You can leave a bixler or a skywalker in the air "hands off" with hardly any throttle. Both aircraft will slow down, lose some height and stay the right way up (without needing a flight controller).
Good review. Being slightly nose heavy helps. Flat spin - big box fuselage countering vertical stabiliser yaw moment? Still not the most beautiful of aircraft.
It's heavy because it needs big batteries in the front to make it balance. Heavy planes fly fast. So yeah, you can use flaps to create drag and slow it down but it's like driving a car uphill for the hell of it. Why not just drive along the flat road? In other words buy something like a Bixler or a Skywalker that can cruise around on low amps without needing flaps.
@@Chilternflyer to add about the Bix3, program some camber on ailerons and flaps and it will pretty much stop in the air, with good weather the thing will blast up and refuse to land.

Then you get models like this one, with dubious build quality and offering nothing like others which have come before it. I just don’t get it.

Eachine is a very weird brand, on one side thanks to their low priced goods they helped me introduce to the hobby, on the other they made me to spend twice as much for the parts which are completely unreiable and break down with no apparent reason (damn you Wizard x220s! :)). I've got zero trust for this brand. About this ugly boy, to many pointless solutions, and tip stall? Well easy to recover high in the air, closer to the ground things are getting more difficult;) Seems like it has been designed to carry heavy load, with such a questionable flight characteristics it's too risky and not really worth to try. But that's just my humble opinion;)
But this isn't designed by the eachine people. It's designed by another talented guy, which eachine got the exclusive rights to distribute this plane. And eachine is a brand of BG.

Good, honest review. I don't see why (and how) someone is going to fork out almost twice the cost of a Mini Talon to buy such an ugly and controversial aircraft. This looks like an engineer designed a beautiful twin-motor platform, and then a company manager forced a single/twin/triple motor redesign - which destroyed laminar flow over the tail, hence the vertical stabilisers there... Not worth the money or the effort, I'll pass.
Alishanmo or whatever he calls his channel is a sales guy, nothing else. He is selling stuff and complaints afterwards are not seen very well or better ignored. I had bought one of the beginner planes he had recommanded and there the night mare had started. Since then I never followed his advice again ... he makes his living from the channel that guarantees you that you are the cause of any issue after you had followed his advice and purchased a plane or item he had on his sales list. And if you have more time give him a chance and crosscheck his videos "reviews" against others and check carefully where these 2 have differenet opinions. There must be a benefit for him to not mention things that would stop you instantly from buying a product he is presenting.
So, it flies ok, principle of wing connectors seem not to be understood in ~all reviews and it's ugly. What's the fuss about ? Ordered one of these but haven't still changed my opinion about fixed wing people: Balsawood, carburetors and locked opinions in a world that got ready in mid-70s. :D

I have not seen Ali's videos, but I was not a fan of his reaction to Andrew's video! More to the point... Andrew just stated an opinion... other people on the web went crazy from there, which is far from his fault! And yes, wind was to blame for what happened, for the most part... and also the lower altitude... and I've had similar things happen before to me too... so I can understand that situation! It sucks!
This plane is absolute garbage. I am definitely amazed you didn't have any major issues with it. The weird short indian guy with the high pitched voice, I'm guessing he had most to do with creating this POS, has bashed many youtubers for giving an honest opinion about how shitty it is. I'm sure you know who "Rag the nuts off" is and I will not get into the story but all in all, this thing is complete garbage. Andrew Newton did an awesome recreation of this plane and since you saw his video, you can see how cool he made it. Andrew made it 1000% better! Great video though, your knowledge and voice is soothing lol! I enjoy your technical side of r/c everything.

You basically complained about all of the off centre motor alignment and wing angles, then you ignored the guidance holes for everything, then proceeded to review your amendments without checking what happens if you build with the setup we would all follow. This review is kinda useless
I am pretty sure I did not understand much of what you just said! I did not ignore any guidance holes... in case you are talking about the motor! Just mounted it slightly lower than it was originally meant to be... which is not an issue, I did centre it all the same, so it is not off to one side! And what is the setup that you would all follow? What exactly were my all too extraordinary mods that I made, that nobody can follow?
Not having any trouble hearing what he says...He definitely puts lots of effort in his work. making a video this size takes more effort than your average youtube video

No washout moulded into those wing panels..Try flying in gusty conditions, not flat calm...That's when it will bite you...and snap into a spin.

LOL wow you are learning 3D with a FPV plane, lol, the plane is just fine, and flight fantastic, is just some people only know how to move the radio sticks, and they spect a glider. LOL I see you flying skill are better now. Most people that do reviews, just flight like newvies . Andrew Newton plane was a victim of windshear, was not the aircraft and you alismashaho are the prov, now alismashaho is a hell of a pilot, he is intermidian 3D pilot.
I have not seen Ali's videos, but I was not a fan of his reaction to Andrew's video! More to the point... Andrew just stated an opinion... other people on the web went crazy from there, which is far from his fault! And yes, wind was to blame for what happened, for the most part... and also the lower altitude... and I've had similar things happen before to me too... so I can understand that situation! It sucks!

This plane is absolute garbage. I am definitely amazed you didn't have any major issues with it. The weird short indian guy with the high pitched voice, I'm guessing he had most to do with creating this POS, has bashed many youtubers for giving an honest opinion about how shitty it is. I'm sure you know who "Rag the nuts off" is and I will not get into the story but all in all, this thing is complete garbage. Andrew Newton did an awesome recreation of this plane and since you saw his video, you can see how cool he made it. Andrew made it 1000% better! Great video though, your knowledge and voice is soothing lol! I enjoy your technical side of r/c everything.
Haha, thanks! Soothing... not heard that in relation to my voice... from other than my GF! :P I wouldn't go as far as calling it complete garbage... I rather like how it flies... and like 98% of the planes out there... it stalls when you push it too far! It actually stalls in much the same way as the Reptile Dragon does... but I don't see such harsh comments about that plane! :)

You basically complained about all of the off centre motor alignment and wing angles, then you ignored the guidance holes for everything, then proceeded to review your amendments without checking what happens if you build with the setup we would all follow. This review is kinda useless
I am pretty sure I did not understand much of what you just said! I did not ignore any guidance holes... in case you are talking about the motor! Just mounted it slightly lower than it was originally meant to be... which is not an issue, I did centre it all the same, so it is not off to one side! And what is the setup that you would all follow? What exactly were my all too extraordinary mods that I made, that nobody can follow?

Not having any trouble hearing what he says...He definitely puts lots of effort in his work. making a video this size takes more effort than your average youtube video

Hahahaha, you guys crack me up! And thanks for the support! I AM actually using the Rode Smartphone mic... audio seems fine to me... can't control what audio system you listen on though! I did listen to it for a week while doing the video... was quite listenable!! :P
