I think that single shot of Rochelle being too cool while driving to pick up the phone booth makes me think there needs to be a series on this channel called "Road Tripping with Rochelle," where she goes to cool places in Canada to pick up awesome things from Marketplace.
Maybe installing a hidden electrical outlet in there would be good too, for anyone who needs to charge their laptop or phone, while using the booth! Love the walls of the booth too!
this has to be one of the coolest TSG projects ever. having followed y'all since like 2015, it has been so cool to watch the scale of your projects grow as you guys get more and more talented!
The Kelsey who made dorm decor videos 10 years ago couldn't even imagine that one day she would be asking Becky "hey can I drop $2k on something that you can't know about" and Becky would be like "yeah sure go for it". And no way could you have taken on a massive project like this with construction, painting, sewing, electrical, tile, and so much more. It's honestly amazing and I'm so proud 🥰
Love this makeover!! However, the checkered floor is a bit 1950’s. Perhaps a penny tile design or mosaic design could elevate this booth even more and make it more reminiscent of the 30’s 👍
Yea I thought the checkers looked weird up on the sides. I don’t mind it on the floor itself but something about the white is jarring. I feel like the could have incorporated different colors and textures like something else metallic
Looks gorgeous until you reach the floor lol The checkered pattern could work, but it's too kitschy to fit with the luxe 1930s vibe. Checkered or harlequin in wood tones would look better in the design imo
the way the tile ceiling fits perfectly is SO satisfying!! i love everything about this (except the flooring) especially the comeback of kelsey's bangs!
I thnmink they want to go bold sometimes cuz they take risks and people would get bored by simple but with a vintage piece like thag I feel less is more
This is one of my favorite sorry girls makeovers! The new ceiling and slightly metallic paint on the pebbled surface really brought it to life! And I love that you were able to keep those special elements like the phone book and ad. The upholstery could have been a little better for a more polished look, maybe with the addition of some piping on the cushion, and I find the checkered “tiles” creeping up the linoleum on the wall jarring. I think it takes away from the antique beauty a bit! Overall a very exciting makeover ☺️
What a great repurpose and replenish. It looks great. I think you use it as a private place to take a call or as you said, record voice overs. For that reason, I thought it should go out of the way, but it’s such a statement piece, that finding a spot where it could be viewed by visitors would be ideal. So somewhere near the main entrance.
TBH when you showed the phone booth at first I thought you could never make it look good but boy was I wrong! It looks SOOOOOOO good, especially the ceiling and the light!! Love the bronze interior and the checkered floor too. The completed project gives me strong Agatha Christie/Hercule Poirot vibes from the 1920's. Wonderful job. And it should be in your space with the lounges and tables and things.
Absolutely love this! A lot of negative comments about the floor, but i love it! I'm sure you cleaned it, but if the old phone book is covered in leather, use furniture polish on it to soften it and make it look less dirty. 👍💙
I think it would look great (and help with soundproofing/privacy) to have small curtains in the matching blue velvet! But I don't know how you would do that without interfering with the door being able to open/shut.
This might be my all time favourite DIY that you've done. It is so freaking cool! What an amazing find - so much history and character! I totally think it should live in the office. It's such a vibe, though I think there needs to be a little styling on the outside to really make it shine. So very cool. Great job, Kelsey!
OMG! this phone booth is so amazing! love the finished project. Love that ceiling tile you got from your dad, love the checkered floor that gives it a really cool vibe, and that blue velvet fabric just is so gorgeous, you did such an amazing job, I'm not sure where I would put it just yet, I think it needs a special corner to angle it and give it that cool vibe in your awesome space. Thanks for a really great video, sending love and hugs, bye for now.🥰💜
I love it! You did an amazing job of making it feel bright and inviting while still keeping the integrity of the original piece. And I actually really love the floor. Really fun and inspiring video 😁 💕
This is absolutely FANTASTIC. I am so happy you kept the character while giving it the perfect makeover to make it usable. I know Becky wouldn't have allowed it to be painted anyways 😂
I actually have a phone booth in my family room. My Dad worked for the phone company and when they took them out of the local university they were just trashing them (unbelievable!) So he asked if he could have one and they said sure! So it sat in my parents garage for years until my hubby and I built our home in 1992 so we then moved it into our family room and bought a retro payphone. We love it!!! Especially now our grandkids think it is really cool! Ours lights up too! We even got a phone light up sign too.. I love your padded seat you put in yours and the extra lights.
Cool project, love how it turned. I say leave it in the office for everyone to enjoy. I agree with others, I like suggestion on penny tile, black & white looks good, but penny tile would look better. What happened to the penny you found? Even though it was 1984, I'd still frame it and hang it in the booth, good energy!
Omfg, I'm so excited for this video!! My grandparents migrated to Texas from Great Britan in the 1970s and built their own home; they installed an authentic phone booth on the second floor!! Theyve long passed on and the house has no longer been able to stay in the family. I often think about how fun it was being a kid and playing hide and seek in their gorgeous custom home. The phone booth was always such a special place for all the kids, like a little fort. This video has stirred up so many good memories, thank you so much for constantly surprising us all with your creativity and innovation!!
Really impressive restoration - now it looks like a phone booth you’d find discreetly tucked away at the side of the lobby of the King Edward or the Royal York, or in a vintage movie set at Claridge’s in London or Le George V in Paris. Your choices were spot on, and the result is ✨chef’s kiss✨!
I loved this build, the blue of that velvet is lux and i would definitelty keep it in the office, but something i thought of is maybe finding a way to add an extension cord/outlet so someone could charge their phone while on the phone or maybe bring their laptop in if its gonna be an especially long call? obvs not needed if there's not a way to do it without effecting the original booth too much but i think it could make it more practical?
This is beautiful! The metallic paint was absolutely necessary and the ceiling tile! *chef’s kiss 👌🏻This can be a much needed private phone call space so people don’t need to step outside or whatever to take calls. Gosh I love it so much!
I love how this turned out, and can I just say I adore Rochelle!! Get her more screen time she has such fun energy!! 😂😂💖💖💖 This whole thing was so cool.
Absolutely love the way this turned out and yes, I think it should live in the office. The bronze paint made such a huge difference and the ceiling tile was the topping on the cake.
Phone booths are such an office thing, and I love what you did with this 1930's booth! Hope it is somewhat sound proof though, my old office had a "modern" phoen booth as a meeting room and it was not ^^'
It’s sometimes insane to think I have been following since the black swan costumes, and now you do all these insanely cool and inspiring projects! It makes me feel that I also can do everything myself, seeing your abilities grow. So cool! 👏🏻😻
What an inspired project, turned out great! Really interesting video. Bangs looks cute too. For some reason I was expecting you to put down a carpet, I really didn't see another checkered floor coming 😉
Your landlord must be so chill too, that is awesome. The size of that really makes you think how the size of people now wouldn’t be able to use it… That just blew my mind… It looks like a coffin. I am small and I wouldn’t wanna be in there for long.
I love the idea of upcycling unique vintage pieces that don't exist in modern times and making them practical, this is so cool!!! I hope you're able to find more stuff like this and make it into a whole series
Oh Kelsey! You've out done yourself. I was hoping to see that paint used in something special and something special it is! I absolutely Love the phone booth! You did a most excellent job!!!! From the ceiling and light, the walls and the seat (of course the book and the table) to the floor, magnificent ❤️❤️❤️❤️
That was an amazing find and up cycle!!! Isn’t it awesome shopping at Store Dad?? I have one of those “has everything and can fix anything” dads and I am so grateful! The phone booth needs to live in the office!
I think that single shot of Rochelle being too cool while driving to pick up the phone booth makes me think there needs to be a series on this channel called "Road Tripping with Rochelle," where she goes to cool places in Canada to pick up awesome things from Marketplace.
I LOVE this!!
Yes
1st thing that I thought was “don’t go alone!!” 🫣😅
you might be onto something there!!💯
Even if they're just shorts!
Kelsey’s dad asking to bring up maple syrup from the basement is the most Canadian thing EVER !! 🍁 🇨🇦 🍁 😂
the NICE syrup
😂😂
I was looking for this comment!! 😂😂
I was dying laughing hahaha
The NICE syrup he wasn’t joking kinsip is the bomb
Maybe installing a hidden electrical outlet in there would be good too, for anyone who needs to charge their laptop or phone, while using the booth! Love the walls of the booth too!

thank you for this comment❤❤
@@TheSorryGirls agreed! this is AMAZING

And no way could you have taken on a massive project like this with construction, painting, sewing, electrical, tile, and so much more. It's honestly amazing and I'm so proud 🥰
We love some unrelatable content 😍 need more of this, kinda makes your mind want to pick the random and achieve something awesome
right!! inspiration comes from the most unsuspecting places sometimes🥰🥰
Love this makeover!! However, the checkered floor is a bit 1950’s. Perhaps a penny tile design or mosaic design could elevate this booth even more and make it more reminiscent of the 30’s 👍
Totally agree and was going to post that same comment. Penny tile is a great idea.
Yea I thought the checkers looked weird up on the sides. I don’t mind it on the floor itself but something about the white is jarring. I feel like the could have incorporated different colors and textures like something else metallic
Or added like a fancy trim in either copper or blue on the bottom edge of the wall.
Yes!!!
oooh, I didn't have a problem with the floor but now that I've read this comment I totally agree. penny tile would look so good!
love all of it! but a a penny tile for the floors might look better
“Can you bring up the nice syrup” 😂 that’s like the most Canadian thing I’ve ever heard
The ceiling and floor are so good. Can't help but think olive velvet would have complimented that bronze sooooo well. But the blue is also pretty
My thoughts exactly... considering Kelsey loves the olive/forest green colors.
I was thinking green too!!! Olive green or a darker mint green.
SAME!
Amazing transformation! I would have loved to see Becky's reaction at the end.
Looks gorgeous until you reach the floor lol The checkered pattern could work, but it's too kitschy to fit with the luxe 1930s vibe. Checkered or harlequin in wood tones would look better in the design imo
This may be one of the best and most unique upcycle projects you've ever done! Love it ❤
thanks a lot!!❤❤
This looks amazing! It should definitely stay in your office
Agreed! and we found the perfect spot for it 😊
Please, please find a vintage Bell Telephone to complete what is already perfect! I love this. ❤️
Ah-freaking-mazing!!! Definitely needs to find a home in the office somewhere where when you walk in you see it. It’s a jaw dropping, show stopper!
yess we found the perfect spot to let it have it's moment🥰
Not a fan of the checkered floors but I love the ending results
thank you for keeping the vintage character! we can always make more modern things, but we can't make more vintage! you did it justice ♡
yess this was very important to us❤
Where's the chalk graffiti? "For a good time, call Sorry Girls"
Hahahahaha!
😂😂
the way the tile ceiling fits perfectly is SO satisfying!! i love everything about this (except the flooring) especially the comeback of kelsey's bangs!
“Can you bring up the good syrup?” Is the most Canadian thing I’ve ever heard lol. Love how the phone booth turned out! So cute!
“1986, not that old” I feel so validated now 😂😂 the internet would make you think I’m ancient
you're only as old as you feel😘❤
@@TheSorryGirls haha big facts!! 💜💜
Also, we didn't get to see Becky's/ the team's reaction to the booth after the makeover! Hope she loves it :)
she loves it, we all do!! 🥰❤
so cool! I think it should definitely stay in the office
Love the booth, love all the upgrades, except not crazy about the floor. Maybe some rubber trim around the doors would help with sound proofing?
I don't like the floor either
Yeah I love it all except the floor, and definitely would think of ways of sounds proofing.
Not a fan of the floor either. I wasn't that keen on the shade of blue she picked to upholster. But the rest of it is super cute.
I thnmink they want to go bold sometimes cuz they take risks and people would get bored by simple but with a vintage piece like thag I feel less is more

The ceiling is my favorite part of the finished project. So classy. 🍸🫒
Really enjoyed this video. I especially love how Kelseys parents tile fit so well in the booth, not only the colour, but also the size! 🤌
What a great repurpose and replenish. It looks great. I think you use it as a private place to take a call or as you said, record voice overs. Love how the metallic finish on the paint reflects the light, so lux! What an awesome project!!
“You are not mad at me for spending money?” U guys r too cute 🥺
What a cute project! It’s a perfect place for selfies and adds an fun pop of the vintage vibe.
Absolutely love this! A lot of negative comments about the floor, but i love it! I'm sure you cleaned it, but if the old phone book is covered in leather, use furniture polish on it to soften it and make it look less dirty. 👍💙

Kelsey you did AMAZING! Now I want a vintage phone booth 😭
I hope it finds its way into your office space.

you literally ate this up. so happy to have been subscribed long enough to see y'all take everything to the next level!
I love it! You did an amazing job of making it feel bright and inviting while still keeping the integrity of the original piece. And I actually really love the floor. Really fun and inspiring video 😁 💕
This is so unique and I LOVE IT! You guys should definitely do more interesting items like this!
Such a cool random project and it turned out sooo good! I love the metallic paint, perfect choice.
Oh goodness I absolutely love how it turned out!!!

Love love this video! Involvement from the team (and the landlord), how the project turned out, the cameo of Kelsey’s Dad. All of it is amazing 🤌
thank you!!!😊❤
Kelsey, it’s beautiful! And I love the blue velvet fabric you chose 😍👍
it's a velvet dreammm🥰

what a gorgeous gorgeous job. you kept so many of the original features and gave them TLC enhancing them in the process BRAVO 👏👏👏
My grandfather had a phone booth in his garage. I used to play in it as a child. This video is fantastic. Love the upcycle! Love Kelsey!
I LOVE this ! It is definitely a keeper, even if it isn't soundproof, it is just too cool to let go. I think everything you did to it was spot on.
Def one of my favorite projects from you guys! So fun!
9:43 my heart just about stopped with how cute that puppers is! I squealed like a doof!
Love how you use stuff you already have/thrift/get from your dad, but still manage to make it look so profesh!
My fave part is the ceiling and the light! This was beautifully done!
Ahh watching Kelsey’s creativity side let loose. So much genuine joy!
Thank you for giving this baby new life without changing too much. You CRUSHED this. It looks fantastic. Chefs kiss.
I love how this turned out, and can I just say I adore Rochelle!! Get her more screen time she has such fun energy!! 😂😂💖💖💖 This whole thing was so cool.

Turned out really awsome... Perfect addition in your office space... ❤️❤️❤️
Wow, what a great find! I can’t even believe how nice it turned out without losing any of its original character. Great job team 👍
Phone booths are such an office thing, and I love what you did with this 1930's booth! Hope it is somewhat sound proof though, my old office had a "modern" phoen booth as a meeting room and it was not ^^'
I’m OBSESSED with this! Amazing find and it could not have been elevated any better 😍
Thank you for the inspiration! I have wanted a telephone booth in my home and seeing you do it is awesome ! You are are amazing as usual.
I was looking forward to that door transition the whole video. Loved that from Loft Vibes too. Awesome upcycle
I love it. Yes most definitely style it in the office! Great find and great job Kelsie..
WOW awesome find and update!!! Amazing job 🤘🤘
I love projects like this! These are the only thing that could make me wish I had a bigger home before remembering I'd have more to clean.
😂❤
I LOVE THE CHECKERED FLOOR! So great!
So creative! Love the paint colour
Love that you were able to save that amazing piece and give it a whole new life.
that's the best part about all of it, just needed some sprucing up and now it's gonna get so much use!🥰
The roof is my favourite part!!! So good
This can’t be more TSG! It’s the vibeee❤️🔥 great job kelsey!
What a fun project. I love how it turned out.
Such an amazing piece! I love it!
This was so satisfying to watch! Love how you freshened it up!
That is so sick!! Its amazing! You did a wonderful job fixing this.
This was very fun and different!! Loved it!!
Such a cool project! You are such innovative creators, love you for it!
I love it all , even the old phone inside. i would definitely keep it in there!
Your landlord must be so chill too, that is awesome. The size of that really makes you think how the size of people now wouldn’t be able to use it… That just blew my mind… It looks like a coffin. I am small and I wouldn’t wanna be in there for long.

i am obsessed with every single element of this new old phone booth!
Fully obsessed with the moment at 10:34. The subtitle absolutely SENT me
Oh Kelsey! You've out done yourself. I was hoping to see that paint used in something special and something special it is! I absolutely Love the phone booth! You did a most excellent job!!!! I freaking LOVE this piece😍!! Everything you did to it is perfection!
Very cool, loved the ceiling tile (saving that idea for future projects)! ♥️
What a quirky piece; love it! Definitely needs to find a home in your office!
Wow! What a transformation!
That was an amazing find and up cycle!!! Isn’t it awesome shopping at Store Dad?? I have one of those “has everything and can fix anything” dads and I am so grateful! The phone booth needs to live in the office!
OMG it is such a vibe!
Love it!! ❤️❤️❤️
What a fun project! You guys did a wonderful job! ☺️
