The butterfly looking screws are called "wing nuts". Thank you SO much for all your awesome videos - I learned SO much watching your channel and I bought the same heat press today.
I am so happy I found a video that can finally help me figure it out how to use my Heat Press, even when it is a different brand (Vivo Home, 11 in 1 Heat Press). I bought it back July this year, and still haven’t been able to used it because they don’t bring instructions or any link to a video to help you, I don’t know how to put all those attachments, thanks to you I am able to play with mine now, it is very frustrating that I can’t find anything explaining what I need to do with the machine from that company. Melissa thank you so very much for creating this amazing video. 🙏🏽🤗🤗
Thank you for showing how to change out the different presses. The little "butterfly" things are called wing nuts. I love watching your videos and have learned so much from you. Thank you!!
Hi Thank you for the video, I was so excited to buy this before I realized that I had to take so much apart. You did a fabulous job with your demonstration. You are absolutely right that you need to do multiple projects at a time for the hat press or the plate press. I need to request for instructions and the screwdriver mind didn’t come with.
The things you said are butterfly screws, are called wing nuts. Lolol I re name too but for me its - thing-a-ma-jig or wha-cha call it. Lolol. Thank you for sharing this 😊😉
Do I need to adjust the springs on the top to get an even pressure? It seems like when pressing it is only pushing down on the back side closest to the handle and less pressure at the front ?
Here are the specs for the mug press: Mug Attachment 3-3.7inch (7.5-9.5cm) max diameter Maximum transfer area: 8.2x3.7 inch (21x9.5cm) Check out this tutorial on tumblers: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2021/08/how-to-add-glitter-to-sublimation.html
Hi, thank you so much for the tutorial. I just received mine to couple of days ago I have it in pink. Are there additional attachments for the press? I need the 20oz tumbler and the shot glass attachments? Are there other compatible attachments that will fit the Swing Design 8-in-one heat press?
There are four mug press attachments that come with the 8 in 1 heat press. You can do 20 oz skinny tumbler with the mug press but you have to do it in sections as shown here: ua-cam.com/video/MBfnhaEq5zc/v-deo.html
I just got a cheap one off Amazon. But it’s not great. The top plate swivels so much. I’m afraid to buy another swing away. Do you love this? Do you prefer it over a clam shell? I just sold my clam shell 🤦♀️ I can’t find any reviews and info on the slide our clam from them either, do you have an opinion on that?
Thank you so much for the tutorial!! Mine came with the clamshell manual, waiting to hear back from the company for the correct one. I have only used a clamshell in the past, can you give any tips on using the swing away? I am a little nervous about getting it lined up and using it correctly. Thank you!!
They will provide you with a digital version of the manual if you email Swing Design. Must have just gotten the wrong one in the box by accident as mine came with the correct manual.
Hi, this video is AWESOME! I am new and really want to get started with crafting. Since I watched Stahl's video first I saw an attachment for athletic joggers and jersey shirts. Will you be able to use this one for that as well. Also for the silhouette, will I need the cameo 4plus, or will the cameo 4 work? Great video!
Hi there! Thank you for the video! I just received the exact same one (color, too). I haven’t opened the box yet, however. Does it come with a Teflon sheet, or do I need to get one? You’re a rockstar! Thanks sooo much for all your fabulous help!! ! Happy New Year!
Thanks for the awesome informative video! I was wondering how that all worked😅 I noticed that you have you Cameo Pro on a... stand or narrow table? Would you share where you found it? I’m sorry if I missed a video on it🙈
I haven't shared details on the stand b/c they're not available to purchase and I Just kind of DIYed it. I'm a little apprehensive to share how I did it b/c I don't want anyone to void their warranty.
Hi Melissa. Does this Swing Design heat press have even pressure & heat across the entire platen? I hear that is extremely important, especially when pressing white toner transfers.
Hi Teacher! I bought one because I didn't want to drag my big DK20 into the basement. I like it, but I hate the way the rubber pad slides off sometimes when I remove the shirt. I asked swing design if I could use double stick tape on the bottom rubber pad. They said "do it!" Your thoughts?
I have the 15 x 15" Swing Away 8 in 1 heat press from Swing Design and it has quickly become my go-to press for the amount of room it saves my in craft room.

I ordered this item as a pre-order back in March based on this video. It just arrived (May) and it isn't the same as the one in the video (and I am not referring to the color). The base is different and and a few of the other features. Just makes me wonder why they look different? Ths one I got looks like lesser quality.

Hey, how long did you actually wait for the machine to come in? I'm trying to purchase it on their website and unfortunately it's on pre-order. They say Mid/End Of April.. is that too long? 🤔
Hi Kelsy, unfortunately EVERYTHING is experiencing delays due to the pandemic. Pre-ordering now is definitely safer than waiting and maybe not getting one when they're in stock!

Does the mug attachment heat evenly with all 4 attachments?
I have a 6 in 1 press and love it!! Did you know you can use the heat press as a mask press also?! Those make big sales for me!!
Yes I do that!
I'm wondering if you meant "hat press"?! Because I just ordered some mask blanks and I love this idea, if it works!
