I went in there about 30 yrs ago, I was a motorcycle dispatch rider , my face was covered in filth and I looked like a bag of shit after a long days work, I went to buy 3 cigars as a few friends were returning to Australia, they cost about £30-35, I went to pay with a credit card but was informed their machine was down, I didn't have cash on me and it was close to 5pm on a Friday, so I was stuck.....The sales assistant calmly said to take the cigars and drop the money in on Monday...
They got their money at 10am Monday morning.

I'm not sure why, but I find such beauty in this story. a few kind, well-dressed gentlemen at my local cigar bar recently caught me admiring the $50 Davidoff. I had never had a Davidoff before. They insisted that I try the beautifully constructed cigar, and I instructed them to take a look at me and ask themselves "does this guy deserve a stick with that kind of pricetag?"
The two gentlemen immediately took the stick down from the top shelf, walked over to the counter, split the cost between them & insisted that I sit down and enjoy it with them.
Not sure what I did to deserve such kindness

I was in the Davidoff shop in London in the 1990's and asked for some Havana cigars at a time when Davidoff had already stopped production in Cuba. After a five minute conversation with the clerk, he finally told me that he had just obtained a limited supply of Davidoff Havanas from an estate sale; and opened up a locked drawer to reveal a small stash. I bought a box. Those were some of the last Davidoff Havanas ever smoked on the face of the earth.

It was a privilege sharing one of my favourite Robusto Vitolas - the Ramon Allones Specially Selected cigar with Edward Sahakian. It was 1 hour of laughter, wisdom and enjoyment accompanied by A friend of Mr Sahakian's from across the pond. In my world dominated by investment, it was a pleasure to not have to invest and think about the future. But to simply, and rather beautifully waste the present. Thank you to Kirby for taking the time to make these videos and to both Eddie and Edward. They are truly, in every sense of the phrase, the last of a dying breed.

I have just recently started smoking cigars. They have reunited me with some of my greatest friends from the past. Watching your videos Kirby over the last few weeks have helped me realize that this entire experience is about the friendship that you either make, or rekindle during your time smoking. I'm buying my first humidor this weekend (you should totally make a video about that) and I cannot wait to continue this journey. I'm excited for the people I meet. I just hope, however, that they can match my expectation from the videos I have seen on your channel with Eddy and Edward. You have such a broad reach with youtube. Thank you, and the rest of the crew for being my smoking partners for being my first companions on this adventure.

Beautiful interview, i have the highest respect for both of them and every word said is true. They have an atmosphere in their shop that can be matched by none, i was lucky i visited once but did not have the time to sit and talk. Thank you for this magnificent well put together interview, it is highly appreciated.

Another great video Kirby! Really enjoying your channel and content. Next time I'm in London, I can't miss this shop. Absolute Legends. I was reminded of my first experience with a cigar, which was also a Davidoff #2 with my father in Las Vegas. I still have the band and we still enjoy each other's company with a nice smoke, each time we meet.

The older gentleman is the epitome of class. He exude sophistication so much so there he is having a conversation not with you yet, it's like one is drawn to him like magnet to steel. Yes, we all know smoking is bad for us But, can't help wanting to be there in person having one..... I find it to be quite soothing & interesting i must say......

@@Bigwave2003 the cdc separated the data they had on people who smoke 1-2 cigars per day from their smoker data pool and showed that this demographic had an insignificant increased risk for any cancer. Don't try lumping in cigars and pipe tobacco with cigarettes.

yes there is a smoking ban in the UK, but we are allowed to sample cigars in specialist tobacco shops, providing the shop makes atleast 50% sales in tobacco, and it must be sampled from start to finish

@Darkcurse25 Your answer does not make any sense: most people, how many, one, two, twenty? THis is the old story of "my uncle who smoked 4 packs a day and died at the old ripe age of 102.

Excellent video. I’ve watched many of your more recent videos with Edward and Eddie, but only just come across this one. They had both already struck me as extremely interesting well mannered gentlemen in your other videos, however it was wonderful to hear their stories and background. Particularly Edward’s initial journey in the UK - quite a remarkable story. Thoroughly enjoyed listening. Thank you.
