After watching this im so excited to get mine in 1 month, but one question cause im pretty new to car, what mods do you use to get rid of the rev hanging ?
You need this tuning device called Ktuner. It has preloaded basemaps that can reduce rev hang, but if you want it gone even more than that, you can buy a tune from them that was created specifically for this car called TSP Stage 1 (or 2)

Ted Theodore Logan haha thanks man. It would still be an interesting topic to cover for a short video. Ill gather a bunch of feedback about that feature from the Facebook groups and UA-cam comments and talk about it a little

ABC Garage its a long story, which I’ll make a video for, but I had two cars that were sort of beaten up and i was afraid my corvette was going to blow up. I have had my eye on the 10th since its debut, and everything just sort of lined up for me and it happened. I am happy with the new car but I do miss my 9th very much
Neither car is expensive to maintain, but ill tell you what, the 9th gen is even less expensive to maintain for many reasons. I had a 9th gen and I absolutely loved it. I beat the absolute shit out of it and it never complained at all. I love the 9th gen
Haha that’s awesome! And the 9th gen sounds like a great choice for me then! I feel like it’d be easier to still work on it myself and I feel that with the 10th gen I’d have to take it to the dealership to get everything done there.
Miguel Ángel I wouldnt say that you’d have to go the dealer for everything with a 10th gen. You can still do all the bolt on mods and install Ktuner with the tunes yourself
I want this car and the single only gripe that I have with it is the electric parking brake. The mechanical brake is way better for manual transmissions in my opinion. Does the shorter final drive mean that the car accelerates faster in every gear?
Why couldn't the rear bumper be the same on the coupe and sedan? I prefer the sedan but I like the rear bumper on the coupe. Is there an aftermarket bumper from the coupe offered for the sedan?
I have the 19 Si 4dr same color. I drove the wheels off of it since I got her. I've even had the turbo red hot... U gotta get ktuner. Makes a world of difference! I'm hella happy w my car only led headlights I'm missing
Hey did you have any issues with headgasket or oil dilution on this 2020 si? I want it but worried about reliability. Im thinking of other options like accord 2.0T or the 2017 Acura tlx v6 awd. Whats your opinion since you did mods ?

@@Camhill182 No doubt the price tag is steeper with the TRD. Amazingly it doesn't have heated front seats or a moon roof- both of which the Si has. You are correct that the tech is better so it seems like a no brainier. Next summer I may inbox you to help me make that choice lol👍
smileusob75 hell yea, ill be sharing more about my purchase experience and updates on driving the car, so I hope that helps you make a decision
@@Camhill182 absolutely. Just subscribed so I'll definitely be following your videos ...good work! (And if I settle on the Si I am definitely getting that Hondata kit)
smileusob75 thank you!
I had this car. The easiest and best way I found to reach for the seatbelt is to underhand reach for it from below. Nice review
Bob O that is what i do!!
my first car love which i leased 9th gen civic sedan, that interior was class full!!!
What year? I had a 2013 civic si sedan and i loved it, but it didnt have the touchscreen
I had a 19 Civic sport sedan
The bigger the liter engine, the better it sounds. That's why I use the 1980's 8v71 Series V8, 2-stroke Detroit diesel in my 1998 Honda Hatchback.
Nice. I also went with MSM but in the sedan. Here's my fav things about the car (outside of subjective aesthetics). #1 Handling. #2 Trunk space. #3 Shifter. #4 MSRP of $25k #5 Residual!
I have a 2020 Si Coupe as well. Mine is black though. Love it. Really fun to drive. Funny you mentioned you're not a fan of the seats. Ever since I got the car, that's one thing I've loved about the car. I find those seats comfortable and sporty looking. I love them. Only thing I hate about the car is the rev hang. That can make the car jerky between shifts. I find it's not as bad when the car is warmed up though. Overall, beautiful car and I'm happy I have it. I'll definitely have it for years to come.
Listen, get a tsp stage 1 tune, delete the mufflers, NOT the resonator, and get an intake, that is all you need and the car will feel amazing
timmybomb21 i have my PRL cobra intake on the way, and plan on the AWE Touring exhaust. I will eventually get the TSP stage 1
@@Camhill182 nice! That will be cool
Hey buddy cheers up after I saw your video went to buy my Honda Civic SI white and black red Interior lovely Manual
The reason it is not the same color black by the fog lights is because that’s where the millimeter radar is located and it’s a special cover that can’t be painted.
the separate fans buttons is definitely the greatest change they made. Having to go into the climate to change the fan speed infuriates me with my 2018 Type R
Have you found any setting to turn off the enhanced sound. Just think on a long highway drive the drone would get a bit old with the lower drive ratio keeping rpms above 3k. Love the forward facing angle that you use. More reviewers should do that. It really gives the viewer the best perspective.
I will have more of this then! I prefer to have someone in the cabin with me anyways
I like the video angles man. Ur def getting better. Keep at it brother! Car is dope

Last week my Honda dealer gave me very bad news: The coupe is discontinued in north America (Si, Touring, Sport and all the other trims) 2020 is the last year of civic 2 doors production! Lucky I got my 2020 early this Year. Good bye Civic Coupe THE BEST 2 DOOR EVER!
Great review Cameron thanks for sharing on the FB forum. One big suggestion. Tint would set this off, otherwise enjoy man.
Thank you for the kind words! I will be modifying this car for sure. Ceramic coat, tint, reasonable exhaust, all that stuff
@@Camhill182 Thanks seriously real good job.
The door pillar on the 2-door models, which attaches the seat belt, is located a little further back than the 4-door models. That is why you need to reach further back to get the seat belt.
I have had a few Civics. No Si's. I did have a 2001 GS-R Integra. I want this exact cars so bad! Congrats on your new Si.
Im jealous! I would love an Integra
Great vid! My brother has a 2019 model, and he let me drive it for a couple days and its so much fun. Def considering getting one
SparkySquier be quick! They are discontinuing it this year.
Moving up in the world!
Dude! I’m in EDH. Cool to see a video from a local guy. Just subscribed! I’m planning to buy a Forte GT in the next couple months and start back up on my car vlogs. Going to check out the rest of your vids right now
What is EDH? Im In Roseville. I grew up in Maine and only been here two years so not totally familiar with the area yet!
Cameron Hill oh right on! EDH is El Dorado Hills. It’s the town right above Folsom. I sell real estate and my office is in Roseville though and I grew up out here so this is all sort of my neck of the woods lol. Really good content man!
Ryan Moyer oh nice!! The real estate market must be treating you well up here, huh? I look at houses all the time man. Folsom is BEAUTIFUL!! EDH as well. Whats your instagram?
Cameron Hill it’s a fun career man. I love it! And yeah they are some of the best areas for a lot of reasons but Roseville/Rocklin is also really nice and they all touch granite bay which is amazing too. Really it’s a nice pocket up here in the “Sierra foothills and surrounding areas” my IG handle is @ryanmoyersells what’s yours?
Honda is killing the industry bro no cap.
@Cameron Hill..... I am thinking about buying the same car in the same color just 4 door. If you dont mind me asking, did you pay msrp or less? and at the end of the day how much did you really spend? fees/taxes/base price? any incentives that knocked down the price as well?
I paid invoice, which is 24,388, and then i got a $500 military rebate on top of that, and then 5500 trade in value, so im financing about 21 because taxes and fees are crazy in california
Cameron Hill perfect thank you
@@sethfilep3958 I recommend going on the dealership's website and negotiating as much as you can over email/phone before even stepping foot on the dealership
8th gen owner here. Nice civic si btw.
Rewatching old Cam vids cuz im gunna miss the civic when he sells it lol
lol!
Can you turn off the automatic braking and lane assist options on it?
Yes you can. Auto braking comes on every time you turn the car on, but you have to enable lane keep assist
Cameron Hill sweet thanks man
i think the newest ill go for a honda in general is maybe an 06, oldest i’ll go is 91 ek hatchback, just can’t get used to how big they’re going with the new cars. i love them little go karts.
man this grey 2020 Honda Civic Si sure is pretty.
Honda makes me want to actually go to the dealer to buy a civic Coupe.
I just got a 2020 Honda Civic coupe sport. I love it it’s in red it looks a lot like yours just doesn’t have those seats and the back looks different doesn’t have the fin on back.
Did you happen to buy the performance package with this?
james Gand the Honda Factory Performance package? No i did not
@@Camhill182 Sorry, that's what I was referring to. I wonder why most Si owners don't pick that package.
james Gand i think its because its slightly overpriced and most people who buy this car are people my age and are into building their own cars their own way
@@Camhill182 That's a good point and I think paying over 3k just for some visual upgrades is a bit steep.
Congrats on the new car, great choice!! I'm not a "Honda guy" but I do admire them. I think they did a great job with the infotainment... in most aspects, it can hold its own if compared to BMW's iDrive and Mercedes' MBUX imho. Honda's walk away auto lock and remote start totally surpasses the German systems. BTW, your complaint regarding rev hang is totally absent in the CTR, so I'm sure theres a tune available that can address that. It's d

Randomly clicked on this and realized you're doing pulls on the same street I take cars on to test them out. 😂
Solid spot to send it.
You work at folsom honda?
I learned to drive stick in my 2012 si. You’re right better to learn on a standard stuff with no technology helping
I wonder if we can purchase something too put on top of headrest too pull down and keep hooked too seatbelt?
I was thinking the exact same thing! I willl look into it
When they put back in a k24 then I’ll think about getting one
I wish they would my friend
Lol you're gonna stay waiting
I miss my 10th Gen Si Coupe =( Only had it one year and traded it for a Tacoma (needed a truck). This color is easily the best looking in my opinion. Once I am able to again I am going to get another Civic Si, you just get so much for the price
Nice! I love the Tacomas. Good choice. And yea man, you get so much for the price. Its awesome. Im impressed with Honda
I bought small turbo badges that are red, about 3” what do you think about if I put them on each side bottom in front of rear tires

hey so what kind of APR did they gave you? Also do they have the 4dr normal grey Si?
They did have a 2020 si sedan in Modern Steel Metallic (grey) which i test drove as well, ultimately deciding on the coupe. Right as I sat down to start paperwork to buy mine, another dude was buying the sedan they had. they gave me 3.79% with Honda Financial
@@Camhill182 Dam! they are flying of the shelve :( Why did you go for the coupe over the sedan? Ive always had coupes but sedans come in handy when i ride with friends ofcourse, which im planning on doing this coming spring/summer.
d0uble _ 0 i chose the coupe entirely off of looks. In my humble opinion, I think Honda really messed up the back end of the 10th gen sedans
@@Camhill182 the sedan is kinda ugly and basic imo. The spoiler on the coupe looks way better
@@Drover26 I completely agree. I love the 8th and 9th gen sedans, but not this one
After watching this im so excited to get mine in 1 month, but one question cause im pretty new to car, what mods do you use to get rid of the rev hanging ?
You need this tuning device called Ktuner. It has preloaded basemaps that can reduce rev hang, but if you want it gone even more than that, you can buy a tune from them that was created specifically for this car called TSP Stage 1 (or 2)
Cameron Hill okay 👌🏻 thanks for replying, btw keep making youtube i like the way you get into the details, youre gonna blow up someday
Link please.....
Got my brand new black 2019 Civic EX coupe in early November because my first car finally gave in, didn’t do much research except relying on my eyes & taste for the right car. Still have the plastic wrap on the screen + the airbag paper to keep that new feel. Also agree that I have to do an arm stretch to get to my seatbelt.
The coupe design is so beautiful😍 Also planning on ceramics, tint. Maybe wait a bit on the exhaust. And learn more car terms.
It's a good looking car, I'll give it that. I'm still not entirely sold on the 1.5T, and neither was my friend.
Im installing an exhaust and Ktuner with the TSP Stage 1 tune this weekend. Stick around and see what it ends up like!
@@Camhill182 bet! I look forward to it.
I also questioned when you mentioned you already had Hondata. I was almost positive you couldn't use it between generations like ktuner
Too bad if you added a sideskirt on your ride, the splash guard wouldn't fit anymore.
Chuu Chuoo well, id rather have the sideskirt. Idk, we’ll see what happens
Great choice and congrats! I want one so bad!
You should get one. I love it!
8th gen owner , really debating whether to invest in the new Si or not . Turbocharged would be nice stock but just that 1.5L is kinda scary and without the integration of vtec just push me away from it . But good review definitely opened me up more
VERYRAREVRYAN I love the 8th gens myself, even the 9th gen, so this feels like a watered down version of an si. Doesnt even feel like an si, actually
would you recommend to modify the horsepower?
I see that these engines shouldnt be pushed too much harder on stock internals. I see that people are blowing their engines, so im going to do basic stuff like the cold air intake and exhaust, but probably wont tune with Ktuner until i can make money on youtube
I have a 13 si and love it way too much to get a 10th gen but tbh these are growing on me. Wicked sad the coupe is discontinued for the 11th gen
I’m getting the type R but this Si is so good for the price!
UltraInstinct im jealous
Cameron Hill bro an Si actually looks better to me but I just like the power of the Type R
Is it a coupe too?
Isn't the 1.5L engine the engine that Honda had problems with oil dilution?
yes, this is it
Not the 19' & 2020 yrs... Same motor tho. "Short drives & cold weather" I do all my maintenance and shipped myself and I've never seen any extra oil in my motor
Are you saying that short drives, combined w could weather are the problem? I'm in NY and don't know if the 2020 Si will do well here... or have dilution issues?
There is one thing that i can’t understand the si model is differrent from the sport plus model? They seems like ti have the same engine
Question: Cam, considering your Si is the incoming year, 2020, did Folsom Honda come down a little off MSRP? I live in Chico, so that dealership in in my region. Thanks.
I paid invoice!
@@Camhill182 Nice, thanks. And I respect that you bought the coupe in the best color they spray for the Civic Si.
Very nice presentation, and congratulations for the car.
Anybody know if that ridiculous "enhanced" engine noise that plays through the speakers can be disabled at least?
Thank you! I will see about turning that feature off and let you guys know in a video soon
Can't turn it off without permanently removing things.
Stop being a lemming and repeating what other plebs say. I test drove one at the cpo lot the other day and it sounds worlds better than my bro's 2019 shitty engine sound...you've never driven it so stop repeating what other parrots say. (Congrats on the car btw)
Ted Theodore Logan haha thanks man. It would still be an interesting topic to cover for a short video. Ill gather a bunch of feedback about that feature from the Facebook groups and UA-cam comments and talk about it a little
Sorry it’s the parrot culture now a days, people just repeating what’s others say without any knowledge. I don’t know who the f you are but I know you have a C6 and a FC civic and he doesn’t.
The Car is Looking Like a Fine Wine
Will buy 4 door sedan and some mods its badass
Why the switch from 9th gen to 10th gen?
ABC Garage its a long story, which I’ll make a video for, but I had two cars that were sort of beaten up and i was afraid my corvette was going to blow up. I have had my eye on the 10th since its debut, and everything just sort of lined up for me and it happened. I am happy with the new car but I do miss my 9th very much
Great video! I’ve been debating whether to buy a 2015 si or just go ahead and get a 10th gen si. Is this car expensive to maintain?
My first new car was a Civic back in '83. They have changed a bit since then.
I love those old ones!
@@Camhill182 lol, I have had a lot of nice cars since then, but that is the one I miss the most.
I want this car and the single only gripe that I have with it is the electric parking brake. The mechanical brake is way better for manual transmissions in my opinion. Does the shorter final drive mean that the car accelerates faster in every gear?
Kevin Norris it does, yes. The acceleration is slightly quicker because of the shorter final drive ratio
Cameron Hill Do you think it was worth the MPG trade off?
Kevin Norris im not sure, but the acceleration does feel good
Why couldn't the rear bumper be the same on the coupe and sedan? I prefer the sedan but I like the rear bumper on the coupe. Is there an aftermarket bumper from the coupe offered for the sedan?
No, they do not fit each other. They are wayyyy different. The trunk and rear bumper are completely different on the sedan and coupe
I like your sweater bro. 🔥👍
I have the 19 Si 4dr same color. I drove the wheels off of it since I got her. I've even had the turbo red hot... U gotta get ktuner. Makes a world of difference! I'm hella happy w my car only led headlights I'm missing
This channel is dope. Keep it up! I have a 2019 Civic Hatchback but I've always loved the SI!
General Orhan thanks!
Hey did you have any issues with headgasket or oil dilution on this 2020 si? I want it but worried about reliability. Im thinking of other options like accord 2.0T or the 2017 Acura tlx v6 awd. Whats your opinion since you did mods ?
