That's the problem when you drive cheap cars eventually you get through quite a few especially throughout the 80s and 90 s.
Many thanks for the correct information. It couldn't of been a USSR car I owned. It must of been a Skoda with the rear-engine design.

If you hire a mechanic to fix this car into brand new you will stand out.
Many Ladas were originally Fiats produced under license
Dude, we are waiting for other classic Soviet cars from you: Pobeda, Volga, Moskvich. 😉
Hello mate! Come to vizit Kazan!
Strong suspension, galvanized body, cheap domestic parts. Bad brand for Russia?
To look at vehicles I rather motorcycles.

Difference?
The Lada was basically a Fiat 124. Some interesting other cars there, are they Russian. Winner had to be the one in hearing aid beige.
In lada more then 300 upgrages versus fiat 124, first of all dohs engine, and more solid body.

Lada's are actually Fiats. Fiat sold the machinery etc to the Soviet Union back in the 60's I think.
only the first model VAZ 2101
My very first car was such a white lada-6 aka Shesterka aka Klassika. back in 2003. It was a nightmare being broken every other ride
Thanks for this Jim, the "Scot formerly known as Rob Roy"! I've always wanted to get my hands on a 2106 and give it a proper restomod. By the way, your colleague in Russia vlogs Russell recently did an episode where he showcased a bunch of beautiful Ladas in pristine condition.
Telstilshiki translates to mills by the way
It's textile mills thus mills is related to textiles
It's so funny to watch an englishman admiring Lada's 😆 From technical/comfort point of view this car is just a piece of 💩
The newest models are more interesting. The Vesta, approved by the president.

You should have blurred the license plate.
In the past, vlog asked if you used carsharing?
And what kind of vlog did you take off ? You can only ride the subway and a scooter ! 🤣
