It’s just look whitish in color kind of cloud.. unless your cameras can capture them in color,, but, yes when the current are strong enough then you can see them with naked eyes 👀

YES you see the colors with your eyes very easy, even if the aurora was not strong at times. Sometimes it died off a bit and you could still see the green color. I witnessed the aurora explode right above my head and there was green and pink in STROOOONG colors, but even if it wasnt above my head the colors where very intense! My cameraS! couldnt even pick up the colors the way my eyes did. Shooting with phone, gopro and DSLR.

So you have to have a good source of light to keep your eye sensors to see colors . It is not based off the strength . Even if it is weak , it’ll be green . So it just depends on how well your eyes can see them.

Sorry to disappoint you, but it's the other way around... The eye can't see all those colors as the cameras do.... So, in real life you see like a gray cloud with some green or red but very vague.... It needs to be really really intense so the eye see a clear strong color.... I've been here in tromso for 3 weeks already....

I was in Keflavík on vacation at this time. Was my first time seeing the northern lights and it was absolutely beautiful. I cried a little bit, because I was so happy. 😍
I've seen those once in Finland, it was beautiful with a luminous green, a light tinge of shiny pink, a faded shade of light blue with a purplish border. These will live in my memories forever. Looking forward to visit Scotland for seeing the aurora borealis❤

It is amazing, i see the Northern lights almost every day from September through April . Doesn't matter what i do i always stop and just stare, and i have been living in the Arctic for years and can't get sick of watching.
I live in the Canadian Prairies and we've been lucky to be treated to the Northern Lights. I've seen them many times in my life and they never get old. It's a reminder that nature is our true master and nothing fake or man-made can ever compete.

If you travel to northern Norway for a week or two in Autumn/winter time (October- February) the chances that you'll see northern lights is high:) Personally, I saw northern lights yesterday evening. It was very weak though, because it was too much light pollution. So if you wanna see aurora stronger you should drive away from lights! Just some tips from a norwegian :)

For anyone who is interested to know the reason behind this exquisite scenario- During a solar flare, a large number of electrons and protons are ejected from the sun. Some of them get trapped in the earth's magnetic field and move in helical paths along the field lines. Even if the field lines bend, the helically moving particle is trapped and guided to move around the field line. The field lines come closer to each other near the magnetic poles. Hence the density of charges increases near the poles. These particles collide with atoms and molecules of the atmosphere. Excited oxygen atoms emit GREEN light and excited nitrogen atoms emit PINK light. Such a beauty of science... isn't it idk how beautiful and elegant that looks in person...im definitely going to that place just to witness this beauty of nature..✨😊

It’s just look whitish in color kind of cloud.. unless your cameras can capture them in color,, but, yes when the current are strong enough then you can see them with naked eyes 👀

YES you see the colors with your eyes very easy, even if the aurora was not strong at times. Sometimes it died off a bit and you could still see the green color. I witnessed the aurora explode right above my head and there was green and pink in STROOOONG colors, but even if it wasnt above my head the colors where very intense! My cameraS! couldnt even pick up the colors the way my eyes did. Shooting with phone, gopro and DSLR.

So you have to have a good source of light to keep your eye sensors to see colors . It is not based off the strength . Even if it is weak , it’ll be green . So it just depends on how well your eyes can see them.

Sorry to disappoint you, but it's the other way around... The eye can't see all those colors as the cameras do.... So, in real life you see like a gray cloud with some green or red but very vague.... It needs to be really really intense so the eye see a clear strong color.... I've been here in tromso for 3 weeks already....

I was in Keflavík on vacation at this time. Was my first time seeing the northern lights and it was absolutely beautiful. I cried a little bit, because I was so happy. 😍

No shit, Well, northern lights are created when the sun is trying to kill us. It's hard to explain
It is amazing, i see the Northern lights almost every day from September through April . Doesn't matter what i do i always stop and just stare, and i have been living in the Arctic for years and can't get sick of watching.
I live in the Canadian Prairies and we've been lucky to be treated to the Northern Lights. I've seen them many times in my life and they never get old. It's a reminder that nature is our true master and nothing fake or man-made can ever compete.

When people ask me what’s your dream destination… it’s where the northern lights are, I am so drawn to it. I might never get to see it in person, but I am grateful for videos like this, it’s truly breathtaking

If you travel to northern Norway for a week or two in Autumn/winter time (October- February) the chances that you'll see northern lights is high:) Personally, I saw northern lights yesterday evening. It was very weak though, because it was too much light pollution. So if you wanna see aurora stronger you should drive away from lights! Just some tips from a norwegian :)

For anyone who is interested to know the reason behind this exquisite scenario-
During a solar flare, a large number of electrons and protons are ejected from the sun. Some of them get trapped in the earth's magnetic field and move in helical paths along the field lines. Even if the field lines bend, the helically moving particle is trapped and guided to move around the field line. The field lines come closer to each other near the magnetic poles. Hence the density of charges increases near the poles. These particles collide with atoms and molecules of the atmosphere. Excited oxygen atoms emit GREEN light and excited nitrogen atoms emit PINK light.

They're usually better seen during the winter time since it's dark for long (this far north the sun shines into the night during the summer)
