Thanks! Helped a lot. Might mention that when the cover is open, the distance between the ball mounts is pretty close to matching the fully extended shock.
What if the shock came off from the bottom? My daughter didn't disengage the lock and tried to force it. Now we can't open the hot tub because the shock is fully extended and we can't seem to get it to push back in. The bottom is what popped off from the hot tub. Do we need to order a new one or is there a way to get the shock to go shorter again yo open the hot tub?
Thats good advice, I just got one shipped to me with no instructions or anything. Its the same locking one that you show in the video. Does it matter which way its set up ? installers did the plastic stop facing up, whereas you have the plastic stop facing down. Thanks for the help
Good morning, I am not sure exactly what you're refering to. Can you explain what plastic piece your talking about? If it's the shock then it should be how it's shown in the video. Hope this helps!
@@atlantahottubcenter Hi. I'm referring to the "stop" (the orange plastic piece that stops the cover from closing). I'm trying to figure out if the installers installed i the shock upside down as the orange piece in your video points down, whereas in mine it points up. Don't even know if that makes a difference ? Thanks again, and great video :-)
@@starview7045 Good afternoon, the biggest thing you want to make sure of is that the larger side of the shock is facing down and the silver part of the shock is facing up. Hope this helps!
Thanks so much for the tutorial! New home owners with this type of lift. Our shock is off from the bottom bigger part. We can’t lift it all the way up without bending other parts. Do you know how to fix this?
Good evening, I missed this! Yes, you most likely need the metal brackets if your current plastic brackets are bending. Do you have plastic brackets?I’m just assuming. Hope this helps!
Good afternoon, it's the same thing. The shock is the same on both sides except for the lock mechanism. The way it disconnects and reconnects from the lift is exactly the same. Hope this helps!
Good morning, it can be a little tricky at times depending on where the original bracket was placed. You're very welcome and I hope you enjoy your hot tub for many days to come! Thanks for watching!

Good afternoon, this is correct. they're not normally to far away. Thanks for watching!

You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
Can you show how to move the shock to the other side?
