The quality vs the teasing of this update explains why Bethesda has been so quiet about it
I think at first it wasn't suppose to be anything big but then everyone got excited about it and then I think they did originally to do more but I think issues happen behind the scenes and that's when they got quiet...
This was the middle of the road which I'm fine with.. porting the settings of PC version to console at a choosen fps and resolution.. with support of hdr still I guess. So all and all not bad
All and all remaster games have nothing more then just PC ports. Everything at max with higher fps and resolution and load times and rendering..
Somt8mew they edit the shadows and lighting and add hdr and uplift the audio but thats all it is.
Remakes is ground up and most companies don't do that. Ones that do are either rebuilding the ip up or have nothing else to release so work on old games... it's really for rebuilding ip though
@@forresttilghman1098 you can't do much on a remaster as you can't change the old graphics engine but at least they could have done some refinements in lighting, maybe some animations, adaptation to modern graphics standards but even that was too much for us to ask
@ddreas that's a remake....
HD ports are just fps and resolution.
Remaster have always been nothing more then PC ports and sometimes for older titles change lighting to get rid of filter system or add ray tracing to more newer titles.
Remakes are built from the ground up using a updated or similar engine and add in new stuff ..
Surprises me how many don't realize what's what's and why when they break down the games in category for the reasons why
Next Gen update, 2024 and still no FOV slider in the game.

Just loading. But even before then still took ages to load
Every time I go to finish editing a name for a weapon it kicks up the pause menu but a big thus far when I have start Taffington Boathouse reaching the crossroads nearby Medford Memorial Hospital a gamel lock glitch has been fixed
You could also not do any of this play the new enclave quest and get all the items from that quest off the enemies
Far harbor even tho it’s installed keeps deleting itself I only know this cuz I wear the marine wet suit which keeps disappearing off my character when the game loads up
I’m not having problems on the steam deck as well. Matter fact, I wasn’t able use mods on the steam deck before and now I at least have access to ones on the Bethesda store and it actually runs so I call it a win on steam deck from my experience
I'm on PS5 I've seen some flickering, but I have maybe 25 mods, and so far it's working great. Going downtown Boston is refreshing not having the jerky framerate. All my mods are working even better than before, because everytime I modded weapons or armor, I got the 0kb glitch. Now, I can do this all day, with no issue whatsoever.
Waiting for a bit till mods are updated. Probably next week before I get started.
Depends on the F4SE team. Fallout London paused. Nothings gonna work without a script extender solution. If on PC...well, again the modders have outdone Bethesda by putting up a "roll back your game to a working version" mod lol.
The only mods ive had issues with are ui based mods due to f4se not working other than that my other 60+ mods are mostly working

I hope fallout 3 and new vegas gets a remake on the fallout 4 engine

No, those remakes need to NOT be in that shitty engine. Those games would look great in Unreal or some other advanced engine. They lack many modern things, like animations, lighting quality, shaders, facial animations, nanites, and many other things.

What about instead of a remake we get a reimagining of fallout with every fallout game ever created 1/2/3/NV/4/76 that’s Cali La Washington DC New Vegas the Pitt far harbor Nuka World including every DLC ever made for those games inside of fallout 5 along with fallout 5’s newest location and added DLC and we can vertibird to it all
Think eso one Tamriel except we are in the timeline of fallout 5 which means we can go back to those old places and see what has become of them now a new experience maybe players can choose which setting they’d prefer a prewar fallout setting by preventing the bombs from ever falling or choose an apocalyptic fallout setting by allowing the bombs to fall

If starfield can have 1000 planets then fallout 5 can have every fallout game ever made on one planet
I'm not thrilled you are required to install the upgrade, on Series X at least. It kept prompting me to install an upgrade and a bunch of updates. I carefully hit cancel for the upgrade every time it prompted me, which it did repeatedly. But still when I launched the game there was that performance mode setting.
I had a few basic mods, slow levelling, time scale, reduced loot, that kind of thing so maybe I'll be OK. But I would have preferred the choice.
The framerate is nice, though.
So is pc performance better like does it crash a bunch still or did this fix it i dont have the best card i have a 3060ti but for a game this old it shouldn't be crashing
Tbh it's the same to me, nothing in particular changed all that much, performance is like it always has been for me although in Boston some areas didn't tank fps like before, while some areas still drop frames a bit
@@LastKnownMealthat is the thing i need to test, downtown drops fps by a lot. And i played this game with lots of different hardware, and it always had the same issue in same exact place.

One of the first things I noticed about this update concerns Mama Murphy. Now when you give her drugs, Codsworth no longer will dislike that action.
He disliked it in my new updated save

Yes
There is only reason they released this. They probably spend a few days on this update making sure they'd push their money grabbin creation club stuff down people's throat.
It doesn't add anything, just a lot of problems.. Stay on pre-patch game with all your mods and enjoy a great game that runs great if everything is setup well...
Bethesda is continuing to destroy themselves with below par updates like this.
They don't care.. Money is what they care about... Bethesda is no more... Fallout 4 has become a great game through the selfless modding community, not bethesda.
They actually care less about money because they are owned and backed by Microsoft. They are no longer an independent studio that needs to sell this stuff to stay afloat.
Most of the money they earn now goes on hiring more developers and expanding their teams
"great game" when referring to Fallout 4 is a bit of an overstatement, but sure
I notice the hellfire armor has a bugged helmet and even the game is on a M.2 2TB ssd it still has much more slow loading screens than the previous version.
The load times are unacceptable.
Playing on an SSD aswell and loading into the Commonwealth can take multiple minutes.
Skyrims load times on an SSD were literally micro seconds
@@kp-legacy-5477 Dunno why Bethesda dont pay the modders and bring them in to help fix this issue. Even CD project red got modders in to sort their game out. Its baffling for an American game studio owned by Microsoft that think they're professionals in their own little dream bubble. They only care about the cc and how much it will make thinking theyll win big on a lottery ticket.

People would say the bugs were a "feature" which gave Bethesda the big head that they could release unfinished shit all the time.
@@kp-legacy-5477 I remember back in my day when I did my GCSE's doing graphics design like point of view sketches, 3 dimensional sketches and primary colours. Are project was to design are own board game with proper materials using molding machinery and tools. We had a deadline to finish it under 2 months so we could move onto the next project. My teacher was an absolute whiny brat and rushing things is not what makes a good product. I got a C in the end for my unfinished work because I didnt want to rush my project.

Yes sometimes you make take longer to create the product
But if the end result is of higher quality it will also garner the creator with praise for the work. And in games this means more money for the company.
But for some reason these companies prefer to rush games and lose more money in the long run

I’ve noticed my game isn’t likey my mod list as much as last update, a lot of stutters and lagging when loading and the load in distance on console is laughable. But other then that she’s chooooochen

Replay 3rd and NV. If you can avoid bugs, and add fixes for PC they are good. Then Fallout 4
I think Fallout 4 is the easiest to get into.
The story and dialogue is a little lacklustre but if it's your first Fallout you will have that to look forward to in later installments.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas really show their age at this point and I recommend starting with 4 and going back if you really fall in Love with the world the games create
just started playing on steam deck and it seems to run fine. I did play it for a couple hours when i first got my steam deck last year. I believe it was playable before which means it runs, and it is verified now because they removed the launcher... which could have been removed in the steam deck settings before you launched the game. game runs fine though.

I did hear it's ok now, still mods made it better.
The big thing in fallout fan base over the last few years people wanted was fallout London which is now on hold due to this update.

... important mods either don't work, don't exist anymore or just kills the save files.., fed up with this BS & stress (ffing lv 126 (survival) & lv 120 (very hard) character saves DEAD..)

last straw for me, Starfield DLC can go ff itself.., I was still hoping / fighting for Starfield, now I'm a hater (good job Bethesda / Xbox.., almost as if they didn't have enough time.. lmao)
Edit: NOT EVEN NEW GAMES WORK with reinstalled mods on Xbox.., WTF Bethesda!?
Don't forget Valve. Which forces you to update the game if you wanna play, unless you always have your steam in offline mode.
The issues with makeshift weapon pack are literally only happening if you have a modded save so people playing vanilla will not run into that
hey lkm how you been idk how this will sell...I mean they allready sold it to us six ways to sunday with all sorts of crap and its getting old to me. They are desperate maybe this is all profit for bethesda and dont have to give microsoft anything so who knows.
Been doing great, thanks for asking. Well at least the update is free, although it would be dumb to charge money for these changes. It also seems sale they did is doing great being that numbers are going across all fallout games, but mostly thanks to the series.

On PC. Its a trap. They ruined one of fine game to as like garbage. Fixed few bugs added lot bugs. What a great next gen it is. 100% unnecessary useless patch.
A lot of the “issues” people are running Into are just graphical stuff the mods for me on console and pc work fine barely any broken mods people just love to moan we all just need to remember this update was made specifically for console uses to make the game run and look better pc just got an update also

So not only did they just add a bunch of workshop items they didn't even make themselves, they also managed to break mods while also adding features that are worse than the actual mods which already added these features years ago?

Too bad it's still same ol boring Fallout 4. Very unnecessary "update" that just added content that is the equivalent of a couple small mods. And that halfassed ultrawide "fix" is a grim reminder of what Bethesda is all about now.
