    I'm really thinking of getting a Vaquero as my next bike. I currently own a 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic. I've owned it since 2008 when it had about almost 13,000 miles on it. I've put well over 50,000 miles on it since then! Still runs but it finally developed an audible whine (the dreaded gear bearing). I'll still fix it and ride eventually, but I'm wanting a more touring style cruiser. A testament on how good these Kawasaki motors are!

    I loved the Road Glide when I rode one a few weeks ago. This makes me really want to go ride the Vaquero. The dealer I get my Suzuki serviced at carries Kawasaki’s as well so I need to ask to take one of these Vaqueros out when they are servicing my C50T.

    0:45 Kawasaki's have a positive neutral finder; meaning they will not go past neutral into 2nd if the motorcycle is not moving.

    Man I was thiiiiiiiis close to buying 1 of these but I got a killer deal on something else (Street Glide). There wasn't anything about the Vaquero that turned me off after doing my due diligence. IF I had to "nitpick" something, my only gripe was the media. The Vaquero (2018 mind you) has an outdated iPod connection and No Bluetooth...That and that alone opened the door for me to keep looking a little longer and that's when I ran across my bike. Also, nobody around here let's you take a test ride, maybe a ride would have sold me but now we'll never know.

    My cousin has a 2016 Roadglide with a stage 1 kit from Harley and it sounds sick. Literraly like a muscle car with a nice cam and headers. Would the Vaquero also sound bad ass if it had some sort of stage 1 work done to it? Or is that really a Harley trade mark sound?

    • @BegoneJonah

      Exploding gasoline is exploding gasoline whether it happens in a Japanese engine or an American-made engine. Put an aftermarket exhaust on that thing and it'll sound great!

    • @BegoneJonah
      @BegoneJonah  5 років тому

      TheNightFather666 No, it’s not bad. A lot of motorcycles clunk and bang into gears, especially first. It’s just the way motorcycle transmissions work. My Harley bangs into first and it’s normal.

      I think a Harley with a Milwaukee 8 engine has a sewing machine note. I'm convinced that no bike really sounds good until you put on aftermarket slip-ons.
