Oh my gosh. "Tortum's Ozempicy sister"! You made me laugh. That is surprising that your Peace lily made it. I had a couple die on me a white back; I had no idea what why. I haven't acquired another because of that experience. 🐘

@plantsbymelissa did a tissue culture a few. Months or more but she has them listed in her stories. You can find them easily I hear.maybe it’s on a playlist.
My favorite is the Hoya and the variegated peace lily.
I like the tortum. I can see me possibly adding this to my wish list.

In Australia 🇦🇺 no one I know imports plants except Nurseries. We have extremely strict quarantine regulations and to import here would cost thousands and thousands, lots of special licences etc even for just 1 plant. .So we can only buy off Nurseriesor people in Australia which sort of sux especiallywhen youlook for a plant thats not sold here in Australia and you have to wait until the nurseries get them in..
Same here in New Zealand, but I think our government is even more strict than yours with the plant restrictions 😮💨
@@maggiemay2878 and the market is so small, we get a very limited range of ‘new’ plants. I am still waiting for the lemon lime maranta to hit our shores….😢
That makes since. Islands in general are more strict because they can actually protect their biodiversity. Like, you have way more strict rabies laws because you don't have rabies everywhere. In US there are rabid wild animals around. We have strict laws for mammal pets. They have to be vaccinated. But for people coming in from other countries we don't have as long a process as you guys. The plant thing makes sense too. We are attached to Canada, Mexico, and by extention South America. So we can't really controlling anything coming in from any other area we are attached to. So it's kind of half hearted on the import rules. In many places the weather is so cold and brutal it kills almost every foreign species anyway.
