@@SneppydeppyHELLO.... The percentage of crimes that were solved in England and Wales was just 5.7 percent in 2022/23. Welcome to the real world. Those are Home Office stats by the way.
they should get rid of all the PSCO´S and the money they safe on that should go on elocution lessons for normal police officers so that they know how to talk to the public in a civilized manner.
The whole point of PCSOs is to do the role that doesn’t involve kicking down doors and tackling people. It’s a community policing role, it doesn’t focus on enforcement. You only feel this way because you don’t understand the role.
I got no problem with women in the Police so don't think I'm a biggot, however UK Police forces need a serious review of their fitness tests. Too many Police I see are overweight or not strong/fit enough for the job. Nothing personal Helen Littlejohn, but you keep banging on about fitness when if you tried to chase me I would outrun you by miles are if you did manage to catch up I would batter you. Your only trump card would be tools (which you are not allowed) and even if you were, you would have to escalate the situation to less than lethal (because we all know tasers can and do kill) or result to using weapons like batons because it would be the only advantage you would have to attempt to level out the playing field. Although I understand everyday policing doesn't entail wrestling with mindless thugs in every situation; if I were a criminal and saw a strong/fit looking police officer; it would make me reconsider; "Can I outrun them quick enough before they bring a heli/backup?" "Can I shove them off me if they get a hold of me?" On the other hand, if I saw an unfit officer, I would almost ignore them because I know they have no chance. Now fortunately for unfit Police officers, I am not a thug or criminal, therefore it doesn't bother me too much as I rarely if ever have run ins with the Police, however I worked my ars* off to buy a motorbike and after 9 days, some beligerant fools have kept trying to steal it during the early hours of the morning, and thanks to my heavy security they have failed every time and set off the alarm. I would be more than capable of dealing with them myself, but I can't because it's illegal for hard working men, women and children to stop selfish thieves from stealing their hard earned possessions. Instead, I have to rely on you to come and stop them, or worse subdue someone who say; broke into my house in the middle of the night. Therefore I have no sympathy for officers who one could say, 'let themselves go.' As I believe it is your duty to maintain extremely high levels of fitness to protect the tax payer who is paying for those services and uphold the law. It is utterly ridiculous Police are allowed to be in such terrible shape given the law is so leaneant on criminals here and so harsh to people just trying to stop thieves ruining their lives. They look more like Paul Blart mall cop than a protector of the people. Police hotspots where I live consist of Mcdonalds drive-thru and my place of work only because they get free hot drinks. Really makes me resent Police and I am not even a crook.
The irony. The main cry baby issue the police have with auditors is filming "officers private cars" and posting them on line... This one video blows any argument of that out of the window. They videoed outside someone's personal residence and filmed them coming to the door. Again something the police moan about constantly. The UK police as a whole, is full of mentally ill individuals that are not fit to serve the wider community. Are there decent constables I hope so. But they are in a very very small minority.
These aren't police officers. They are 'police staff'. They hold no warrant and have pretty much zero powers compared to an actual police officer. They're just civilians.
PCSOs are supposed to wear Blue Shirts also wear the appropriate Epaulets NOT just a Number.
Can be different depending on locations.
96% of crimes go completely unsolved in my Lancashire town. Doing very little is what they do in a nutshell!!!

These PCSO´s are meant to support the proper police officers and not act like one.
We need to scrap all these silly "PCSO" roles and employ some proper 6ft+ officers that don't think twice about putting the boot in when needed!
I’m 6”3 got declined police role but 5 ft person gets it 😂
