As I stated in the video, the lad involved did not want to make a complaint for fear of retaliation. So those who are expecting me to update will be disappointed. Nevertheless, these pair of uniformed bullies should not be allowed to take their frustrations out on the public in this manner. I would invite anyone who watches this video to make a complaint about the appalling 'people skills' of West Midland police officers. As long as your complaint is titled as 'a direction and control' complaint then the police are obliged to accept it. Technically, none of us are allowed to make a complaint about the individual officers because we were not a party to their behaviour. But if enough of us make a 'direction and control' complaint about the appalling standards of behaviour, as depicted in this video, it will hopefully trickle down to the officers concerned. Email your complaints to West Midlands Police, Professional Standards Department.
Let's stop them getting away with it!!

I have no problem if it is a Stop and ID area.
My problem is with the way it was being conducted. The officers should be bale to quote the actual statute/ legislation which allows this. The carrying of a basic business sized card outlining the "Act" or legislation that allows this with the Police Logo on it, making it an official card< would no doubt elevate many problems.

Plus, frankly, I don't like talking to socially maladjusted freaks at their own convenience - so if they want my name and address they owe me a reach around at least, a bit of slap and tickle... maybe a French kiss. That's the same for everyone I'm not prejudiced. If they don't satisfy me, as the tax payer; the master to them, the servant; they deserve and will get bugger all!

"We should not go around and ask questions or interact with the public to try and ensure their safety while warding off criminals. We should instead stay in our office while trying to google our way to who this criminal might have been."
I do not understand how people think when they see cops who are doing their jobs as a proof of their lack of competence. They are humans and they cannot be everywhere at every hour of the day. If you are to complain about the cops, about their uselessness, go become a police officer and do it yourself instead of crying about how pathethic they are online. He's most likely learned from the left-wing popular culture that the police are evil oppressors who go around brutalising random members of the public for no reason, and that he's now a victim of "police brutality", or something...While there are bad eggs in every profession (incl. the police), for the most part police officers are brave men and women who are willing to put their lives at risk to maintain the thin blue line between civil order and criminality. In case people haven't noticed, the UK now suffers from massive levels of crime (including a stabbing epidemic). While the teen in the video probably things that being obnoxious towards the poice gives him a bit of street cred, in reality all he's doing is wasting police time. Idiot.

Exercising your right to remain silent is not suspicious!
Also, suspicion in itself is not a summary or indictable offence, hence no CRIME!
They need to articulate a crime has been committed, or about to be, or in progress. She also stated in the video he’s not committed a crime, but wants a friendly chat!!!!!
High rate of burglaries in the area is just not good enough, otherwise they have to setup road blocks throughout the country and stop and search everyone!
Cycling on the pavement, harassment and stalking is the only crime I see here!!!
Refusing to provide name, collar number and police station is a violation of policy.. The amount of policy violations and crime here is too much to list... I agree 100% with Crimebodge...

Explain to the policy officers that you are exercising your lawful right to -remain- *be* silent but under no circumstance will that be implied legally as being *acquiescence by silence (consent by silence).* Rebut all accusations(burden of proof is on the claimant), *consent can be garnished implicitly(tacitly) or explicitly(confession).* REMAINING silent will always be implied as non-denial, so therefor legally acceptance. *A often mistaken belief in consent* can mean that the defendant lacked mens rea. The standard common law test of criminal liability is expressed in the Latin phrase actus reus non facit reum nisi mens sit rea, i.e. *"the act is not culpable unless the mind is guilty"* The opposite holds true, one can be mislead into "thinking" that they have committed a crime when they have merely broken a legislated rule, conflating a civil offence into a private criminal prosecution, the only pretentious victim is the abstract state called government, a body-less corp-oration.
Fitting although American: "Decency, security, and liberty alike demand that government officials shall be subjected to the same rules of conduct that are commands to the citizen. In a government of laws, existence of the government will be imperiled if it fails to observe the law scrupulously. Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. *If the government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy. To declare that in the administration of the criminal law the end justifies the means - to declare that the government may commit crimes in order to secure the conviction of a private criminal - would bring terrible retribution. Against that pernicious doctrine this court should resolutely set its face.* Olmstead v. United States, 277 U.S. 438, 485, 48 S.Ct. 564, 575, 72 L.Ed. 944 (1928) (Brandeis, J., *dissenting)*
“Nothing strengthens authority so much as silence.”― Leonardo da Vinci
“Not only will we have to repent for the sins of bad people; but we also will have to repent for the appalling silence of good people.” ― Martin Luther King Jr.
“To sin by silence, when they should protest, makes cowards of men.”― Ella Wheeler Wilcox
“If I were to remain silent, I'd be guilty of complicity.” ― Albert Einstein
“Violence does not necessarily take people by the throat and strangle them. Usually it demands no more than an ultimate allegiance from its subjects. They are required merely to become accomplices in its lies.”― Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

He then starts being standoffish towards them and generally acting suspiciously. Does the idiot teenager in the video have any idea of how the real world works? Probably not. Idiot.

    • @charleshendrick5825
      @charleshendrick5825 5 років тому

@Andy Holcroft Of course everyone has the right to go about his or her business, but if a police officer strikes up a conversation with you (for whatever reason) and you start giving them attitude, this is the type of response you should expect. Why didn't the teen just say "Oh hi officers! Lovely weather today. I'm just off to the shops go get some groceries. Have a nice day!" That would most probably have been the end of it. But instead he starts being hostile and standoffish towards them. What exactly are the officers supposed to conclude from this? "Oh, he seems like such a lovely young man going about his law-abiding business" or "he seems like a bit of thug who we need to keep an eye on"? Isn't it strange that immature teenagers always have a go at the very people who are there to protect them in life (their parents, teachers, or in this case the police)?! Why doesn't he travel to the east end of London and start giving the same attitude to some of the local gansters? I think we both know the answer!

When I was younger, my Harley Davidson blew it's engine. While it was being fixed, I bought a 400cc Suzuki to get around on. I was sat in a line of traffic, minding my own business, when a guy ran out of nowhere and literally tackled me off the bike, and threw me to the floor. I jumped up and he tried to tackle me again. I ripped my helmet off and was just about to twat him around the head with it, when a uniform ran around the corner and shouted to me to stop, and that the guy was CID. Apparently he'd randomly run my number plate and found that the bike was stolen (it had been, but had been recovered and legitimately sold to me). The guy never identified himself to me, or showed me any identification. I made that much of a complaint that he was busted back down to a uniformed policeman. I assumed that he was an attacker, so was preparing to fight back. He said I was "aggressive". Of course I bloody was, he'd just rugby tackled me to the floor with no explanation as to who he was.
