Caraxes is actually technically deformed hence his elongated body, it was a good choice by the designers to add wing flaps to his hind legs to help him steady himself when flying, i don’t think that was ever mentioned in the books but it makes a lot of sense
Laenor on Seasmoke was an awesome entrance. And I loved the scene of the white stag revealing himself to Rhaenyra, almost as if the old gods themselves were “choosing” her over Aegon.
So to be clear, Daemon didn’t ask for help. Corlys’ brother Vaemond Velaryon asked for it in his letter, and he’s also the one questioning Daemon and sowing dissent. Laenor is “the nephew” to Vaemond but Laenor is Corlys’ son. And because he is ALSO Rhaenys’ son (the Queen Who Never Was) he can ride dragons.
Daemon wasn’t playing this episode…. He said “I don’t need your help Viserys I damn sure didn’t ask after all these years” when he put down the messenger… I feel he took it’s as disrespectful almost
There are three kills in this episode. the king the princess and the prince. the king needs people to hold the stag for him for him to do the kill and even then he needs a second chance because that’s not who he is he’s not a person to kill he is a more peaceful person. the princess will kill only when she has to. when you see the stag come to her in the end she tells Cole not to kill it because there’s no need. Daemon shows strength by killing he put himself in harms way and took out many of the barbarians Pirates and the crab feeder.
Daemon didn't ask for help Corlys'brother did. For him, his brother abandoned him to fight this war alone for years and is only now just sending aid, as it suits him, that's why Daemon is angry and won't accept the reinforcements
And I would also seem like the king bringing aid would look like the war would’ve been won thanks to the king. I don’t like Daemon want him to have credit
Daemon did go to this fight with Corly without king's permission, of course viserys didn't like this sitution. Also Daemon is angry beacuse he feels like without viseyrs's help he can not doing it his own, and he wants to provides to his brother he can.
There’s something ironic about the Targaryen king killing a large stag when house Targaryen later gets destroyed by Robert Baratheon whose coat of arms is a stag
Crabfeeder was a plot device to help Daemon's story and character move forward. We really didn't need to know more about Crabfeeder. Daemon needed something to do.
Paddy Considine and Matt Smith both killed it (as always) in very different ways, with Paddy monologing the fuck out of his scenes and Matt saying nothing but projecting so much presence.
I’d say that last battle was the anti- Battle of the Bastards: - The Targaryens and the Velayrons know reinforcements are coming but promptly show they don’t need help getting out of a sh*tty military situation - Unlike Jon, Daemon doesn’t have absurd plot armor and gets hits repeatedly with arrows throughout the episode. Also unlike Jon Daemon had cover he could use and probably took note of that as he approached the battlefield - Crab Feeder sends his men in groups and avoids targeting his own men in the crossfire - It’s the “good guys” (any side with Daemon is already much more morally grey than the Starks) who lure the bad guys out of cover into a tactically unsound position - Unlike the satisfying beat down of Ramsay Snow, Crab Feeders defeat takes place off screen (I guess they run out of money/time because of the dragon shots and pyrotechnics)
the Crab Feeder is probably not really strong, as he was never shown to be a warrior and he's obviously sick and very injured, so showing the 2 second fight that took place isn't very necessary
The choice of not showing how the Crabfeeder was killed was not out of budget constraints. I think it's to reinforce the fact that he is a non-character, nothing more than a plot device. He didn't even have a line of dialogue.
I appreciate how both in universe and out, all the focus is on the Velayrons and Hightowers trying to gain influence in court. Yet each episode has Viserys speak with Lord Strong in depth and more focus is being directed toward his family bit by bit. I like it because it’s laying the groundwork for the show potentially pulling the rug out from under the viewer and revealing the Strongs are a bigger deal and can sway the balance of power in court

Anyway..she never liked the sound of the a stag being killed. She had said it sounds like a child crying and it did when the King killed the tethered and trapped brown stag. Somewhat like the sound of her younger half brother - who cried incessantly in one scene to be taken away. It showed his birth is not of real influence right now. The whole episode has so many threads and metaphor of foreboding and influence.

The problem with Viserys saying he is not above tradition when he broke tradition to have his daughter named as the Heir is a problem within itself and speaks to his hypocrisy. Last episode daemon have one scene and this episode he have 10 minutes maximum I just want to know did daemon character don't have big rual in the book because I don't read it
A lot of what has been shown in the show so far is a very small part of the book (which keep in mind is written more as a history account than a regular book, and by an unreliable narrator) and just the very beginnings of the actual story. Daemon has a very big role to play in this story. Most of this stuff is just setup and establishing the characters. Things will slow down and these characters will have far more screentime soon. We just haven't gotten to that point in time yet. As an example, this whole thing with Crabfeeder and the stepstones was like 5 paragraphs in the book.
The siblings marrying each other would fix nothing lol rhaenyra would still sit the throne and otto wouldn’t like that. Also daemon didn’t ask for help corlys brother did.
Its actually perfect for Hightower. That way he could avoid Rhaenyra marrying a high lord or a heir of a high lord (e.g. Lannister, Velaryon, Stark). Such a high House could have enough power to convince others (by force or other means) to support Rhaenyra's claim (and therefore the interest of the house of her husband). Thereby ousting Hightower. By marrying her to her half brother Hightower would seal of that door and ensure his influence over the crown (whoever of the two spouses would wear it) and would have almost guaranteed that the future line of rulers carry his blood (unless Daemon would topple everyone).
@@vandort8764 well that would be true unless rhaenyra would come to the throne lol she wouldn’t keep Otto around so him trying to marry her to Aegon would be to keep close yea but he would eventually try to get rid of rhaenyra by either killing her or getting viserys to name Aegon his heir.
@@Caraxes_RoguePrince literally. That marriage would do nothing but delay the inevitable. If Rhaenyra ascends she can easily annul their marriage and get rid of all the Hightowers. And if she doesnt do that for some reason, then Otto plots to poison her and put Aegon on the throne. That or he waits till she has Aegon's heir and secures the line. Either way, she's dead. Viserys fucked everything up the second he married again and basically made another family.
the daemon hitting the messenger and a reference to Game of Thrones in Game of Thrones Jon snow he asks why they don't use messengers than crows so he replies it's been a long time since people
If you look at the scene with Rhaenyra she has a face full of blood and at the end of the episode Daemon has a face full of blood too which considers that the two ended up with their faces full of Blood What a coincidence 🤔 The Daemon hitting the messenger and a Game of Thrones reference in Game of Thrones Jon snow he asks why they don't use messengers than crows so he replies it's been a long time since People, Matt Smith is killing it as Daemon Targaryen The daemon he is very proud of he would never accept help from his brother daemon is not a bad person nor a good person he is a gray character, George Martin has said in several interviews that the daemon is neither good nor bad, he is a gray character and George Martin's favorite character is Daemon Targaryen, there are several interviews with the actor who plays daemon who is Matt Smith he also speaks several times in interviews that daemon loves his family and that he would never harm his family and that Daemon would give his life for viserys is for rhaenyra he loves his family and that sometimes they have their problems but he wouldn't hurt any of them and Matt Smith also said that the daemon doesn't want the throne he wants to show his worth to his brother and that he likes it to fight and he likes attention that's what he wants from his brother that's why he does these things
Weakest episode so far. They crammed too much into one episode. The war and the battle should have had their own dedicated episode or 2 for setup and delivery. The final battle just was a mess. The rest of the episode was good though. Don't get me wrong, the battle scene and production value was legit but man, they've been warring for 3 years and kept telling us how they were losing, almost as to say Crab Feeder was a formidable foe against dragons. So much so they needed more men ASAP but when it finally came time for the battle, we find out Crab Feeder didn't meet any of those expectations. He was just bunkered inside a cave. 🤣 3 years they've been warring and they couldn't have just starved them to death or torched them inside those caves. We also find out how thick Daemons plot armor is. They didn't need backup, all they needed was for him to do a simple trick, run a gauntlet of soldier and win the war. 😂 I hope this episode doesn't hint how they're going to handle future episodes. I'm back on alert for being disappointed again.
I understand what you are saying but the show is running on a budget......They have done this before in the game of thrones as well.......they never showed Robb Starks victory over Jaime Lannister and Jaime Lannister going wild through a dozen Northmen and almost killing Rob (in the books) before capture...it was nice to see Daemon on the ground with Dark Sister rather than only on Caraxes......Daemon DOES kill Craghas Drahar in the books in single combat but the details of the showdown haven't been mentioned....I do believe Daemon gets wounded during the war but I'm not 100% certain....Regarding the Crabfeeder and his men, they outnumbered Daemon and Velaryon forces plus they were backed throughout the war by the Triarchy (free cities of Tyrosh, Myr, Lys) but with sellswords, mercenaries, pirates and other supplies......The Velaryons and Daemon Targaryen were basically rogues and wasn't supported by the Crown hence they were losing rations, men and morale......Also the Dragons weren't invincible......In the books the Dornish used similar tactics (guerilla warfare) against Aegon the Conqueror, managed to kill one of his dragons (Meraxes and his sister Rhaenys) using an Iron Bolt and had not been part of Targaryen rule yet......
@@lekzintshering7666 But you don't understand what I'm saying though otherwise you wouldn't be saying all the stuff you're saying. haha Forget the budget. Let's stick to the budget they have and kept the final battle scene as is. It still doesn't make sense and it is a VERY weak execution of the narrative of the war and final battle. Craghas Drahar? When did I mention his name? Dark sister rather than Caraxex? Why are you adding all these points? I didn't say they should or shouldn't be there. geez. Let me repeat this again and be more clear. Please it read carefully, if you don't get what I'm saying then re-read it again cuz I'm not going to keep repeating myself. They hammered it on us how they were losing the war throughout the show. The war has last for 3 years. They hyped it up how good the Crab Feeders army was. At the end, we begin the battle scene with Corlys, his son, and men talking about how again they are losing the war and that Crab Feeder was held up in a tunnel funneling their opponents men into combat. They are basically using the same tactic as the Spartans in 300 to even out the playing field. In real life that is a great tactic, to funnel your opponent so you don't fight them all at once, only in portions. The plot hole with that is they have DRAGONS! 😂They could have easily torched that cave and BOOM, war is won. And if the dragons couldn't get close to the caves as they stated, they could have starved them in those caves. Just like surrounding a castle until they starve and give up during medieval times. It was very weak storytelling of the war. You're going on about this and that about the book, well I'm viewing the show as it's own piece and the storytelling of the war was bad. Why are you, someone from the internet have to explain the context of the war instead of the actual creators of the show? Well because it's bad storytelling and they handled it poorly, the war and battle that is. lol. I haven't read the books but just seeing how THICCCC Daemons plot armor was when he was running that gauntlet of soldiers, I know he's going to be in the show for awhile lol #THICCArmor
@@HokkaidoSan daemons thick plot armor? the producers are just following the books.........so far the producers have done great in sticking to the book canon with a few minor adjustments.....i felt the battle scenes were great.....giving an episode or 2 to the war alone would slow down the character and plot build up needed for the main conflict....Although the recent event in the Stepstones will have an impact later on (don't want to spoil), the "War" in the Stepstones itself is a proxy/side-piece ....they already mentioned/showed Crabfeeder was being supported by the triarchy, feeding enemies to the crabs and financially ruin the Velaryons who depend on trade and that Daemon and Corlys are fighting the War Rogue without the Crowns consent.....Personally don't think they needed more build up to the war
@@lekzintshering7666 lol I didn't read your whole comment, just your first statement as I see you aren't comprehending what I'm saying. There are better ways to have portrayed Daemon fighting without overtly being cliche and having a heavy plot armor but again you aren't comprehending any of that so cheers. Ignorance is bliss. I take it you probably loved season 8 of GOT?
@@HokkaidoSan Daemon's plot armour? Lol!! The only unbelievable thing about that sequence is that he actually got hit.
Is this a new channel? What happened to Kyle Katarn?
Kyle Katarn is a Star Wars channel! This is where everything else goes
@@grizzledwizard7129 AH ok, thank you!
the daemon hitting the messenger and a reference to Game of Thrones in Game of Thrones Jon snow he asks why they don't use messengers than crows so he replies it's been a long time since people
If you look at the scene with Rhaenyra she has a face full of blood and at the end of the episode Daemon has a face full of blood too which considers that the two ended up with their faces full of Blood What a coincidence 🤔
The Daemon hitting the messenger and a Game of Thrones reference in Game of Thrones Jon snow he asks why they don't use messengers than crows so he replies it's been a long time since People, Matt Smith is killing it as Daemon Targaryen
The daemon he is very proud of he would never accept help from his brother daemon is not a bad person nor a good person he is a gray character, George Martin has said in several interviews that the daemon is neither good nor bad, he is a gray character and George Martin's favorite character is Daemon Targaryen, there are several interviews with the actor who plays daemon who is Matt Smith he also speaks several times in interviews that daemon loves his family and that he would never harm his family and that Daemon would give his life for viserys is for rhaenyra he loves his family and that sometimes they have their problems but he wouldn't hurt any of them and Matt Smith also said that the daemon doesn't want the throne he wants to show his worth to his brother and that he likes it to fight and he likes attention that's what he wants from his brother that's why he does these things
I'm sorry but Criston chasing on after Rhaenrya on his horse yelling "Princess!" was so hot 🤭🤭
fr tho why didnt they just eat the crabs
🤔Is Grizz wearing a Beyonce t-shirt?
You think hitting a rapidly moving target in a windy beach from far away is easy? You guys have no Idea how hard it is to hit a moving target especially in foggy and windy conditions. People have been spoiled watching too many marvel movies. 🤦
