Daemon, Rhaenyra and Viserys are the best combination of a trio of characters I've ever seen in a series...they are so different and complex in their own way that it's fascinating to follow.
48:00 - First Cousin marriage isn't considered incest in Westeros, even for non-Targaryens. Tywin Lannister's wife (mother of Cersei, Jaime, and Tyrion) was also his first cousin; Ned Stark's parents were first cousins. Rhaenyra and Laenor are second cousins.
Viserys named his son after King Aegon I Targaryen who was the founder and first king of the Targaryen dynasty when he conquered all of Westeros and united the realm (except Dorne and the lands beyond the Wall. The Mad King was Aerys II.
@@tariizm1500 actually both of you have this backwards, the concept of houses didn’t exist in Old Valyria, it’s a purely Westerosi thing, so it would have been Aegon who founded the Targaryen dynasty as a house in Westeros. Many houses can belong to the same dynasty, they are called cadet branches.

@@sitting_nut He totally reminds me of Jon Snow who had the battle of bastards who got every women he loved Killed and did what he thought was right even against his oath. @Lee Ara literally Hightowers one of the greatest house in Westeros even during GOT show... Gerald Hightower was lord commander of kingsguard Aerys the 2nd Targaryen (Mad King) not to mention all of Westerosi house's maester's educating/grading from citadel which is located in Oldtown which is belongs to Hightowers in other word maesters very close to Hightowers

2:09 It's RHAE-NYR-A not Rhaenyras. There's no S sound on the end. 7:58 We already established this in the very first episode. This takes place 172 years before Daenerys was born. 12:12 Nope. The Mad King is Aerys. And we are currently over 100 years away from him being born. 21:49 You already have. 22:30 King Viserys own mother and father were brother and sister. And the King's first wife was his cousin. 31:14 And now you've got it. He was mentioned in the very first episode as the one with the dream he called the song of ice and fire. 43:05 They said it more than once, in fact they literally showed it in the opening scene of the episode. Same reasons the U.S. had trouble in Afghanistan. Caves. Every time they'd attack the crab feeders men would retreat into the caves where the dragons couldn't go. So they needed Daemon to draw them out into the open. 47:35 Nope. That's Laenor Velaryon who is the son of Corlys and is a dragon rider through his mother Rhaenys. Vaemond is Corlys' brother. Laenor rides the dragon called Seasmoke. 50:56 Nope. Margaery Tyrell not Hightower. The Hightower's aren't in the original series but were in the books.
The reason the US had "trouble" in Afghanistan is because the federal government controls the drug trade. They wouldn't have had any problems conquering caves.
If Daemon was king....trust me in GoT you would have sooooooo many Targaryens and 100s of dragons The night king would shit his pants when those Targaryens went to war
uh why? daemon is a psychotic idiot who doesnt command any respect and doesnt know much of anything about war or politics. he only produced four kids and all of them were with his lawful wives.
The sole reason Alicent "pulled the Queen card" (on a bard) was bc Rhaenyra pulled the Princess card lmao let's follow the sequence of events. I think the "none of it need be this way" was also about this like we don't need to be doing all that. Mind you she seemed unaware she was gonna be Viserys' pick and she really didn't do shit if we think about it but that's another conversation
fr, like people also forget this has been going on for over two years at this point. Two years of Rhaenyra pushing her away and avoiding her and treating her like crap for something that is pretty much completely out of her control. Like, not everyone (actually no one) is as privilaged as Rhaenyra in this world, and people love to forget it. I get Rhaenyra is upset, but it's literally worse for Alicent. She's the one actually going thru everything. Idk if it's just misogyny or what that people actually blame Alicent instead of Otto and Viserys.
@@ashthefan179 That time-jump was made obvious by the fact that Alicent was shown with a toddler *and* pregnant again but i guess it's easy to forget time passed? idk. Tbh i don't think the chronology matters to anyone who's convinced Alicent is to blame for anything when it comes to the "protagonist". Otherwise there'd be more of us picking up on just how many efforts Alicent made to try and rekindle their bond for something that, as you said, ultimately wasn't in her control - including behind the scenes where she would for sure get no thanks (and didn't) As for misogyny it's 100% part of it but it's also regular Team Black thinking (which heavily runs on it). Even on the *rare occasion* where they concede she's going through.. something, they still blame it all on Otto. For some reason the one person *actually* sealing her fate and continuously putting her through rot keeps being absolved and kept out of their theoretical complaints about Alicent's treatment every single time. Funny how that works! lmao
Well, Targaryen's family tree does not have a lot of branches. Viserys' and Daemon's parents and grandparents were siblings. Also, Aemma (Viserys' first wife) was their cousin.
@@trashdeandre3882 Both Daemon and Tyrion are grey characters (Tyrion is way darker in the books than in the show) but yeah he said his favourite Targaryen is Daemon but overall favourite character is Tyrion
loool @ "he's hitting these quicktime events" hahahahah. Honestly Daemon's pride and arrogance actually worked in his favour for once. Honestly I live for Morgan's SHARP intake of breaths when something epic happens loool. Entertaining reaction as always thank you!
It's a very common trope George RR Martin re-uses in this series, with one calm, cerebral brother and one hotheaded, warrior brother. Viserys-Daemon, Aenys-Maegor, Doran-Oberyn and Tyrion-Jaime.
That scene. Of drunk Viserys lamenting in front of the fire. What an excellent moment. "I thought Rhaenyra was the way out of my abyss of grief and regret. And naming her heir would begin to set things right. I never imagined I would remarry...that I would have a son. What if I was wrong?" Paddy is as great an actor as the character Viserys is infuriating! He is telling his teenage wife to her face marrying her was a mistake. His kids are a mistake. But it is you who decided to re-marry and sire children🤦♂️. Nobody forced you. You are the king. It is your duty to be more prudent. Why did you fall in that trap!
Nothing worse than an indecisive King lol. Viserys was a decent man, but would have probably made a good maester if he was allowed to study at the Citadel. He simply wasn't built for that role of King, too many big decisions and vipers waiting to manipulate to gain more power and prominence no matter the cost.
not all Valyrians tho almost all of them died bcz of the doom only 4 Valyrian house arrived in Westeros which is house Targaryen, house Velaryon, house Celtigar and house Qoherys but after the doom of Valyria Targaryens were last dragonlord family exist and let us not forget Aenar Targaryen was the first Targaryen arrived in Westeros he settled house Targaryen to Dragonstone which is a Valyrian castle Targaryens stayed at Dragonstone like 100 years untill rise of Aegon the conqueror...
Aegon I the Conqueror was first. If (I won’t spoil whether he does or not) this baby were to become king, he’d be Aegon II. By GoT, there will have been 5 kings named Aegon (it’s a popular name for Targaryens). For reference, Jon was actually named Aegon. Had he been named King he would’ve been Aegon VI. It’s confusing, but hope that helps.
They said Rhaenyra 75 times this episode and y’all go right back to calling her Rhaenyrys 🤦🏼♂️ Aegon the fucking conqueror. The reason there’s a king of the 7 kingdoms and an iron throne.
14:36 - Oh yes, and not just in this prequel era, but several other prequel eras as well. The Lannister bloodline has a tendency for twins. Not always identical twins of course, but in this case yes, Jason and Tyland are identical twins.
The hunting sequence. It telegraphs to the audience that Viserys is a weak and perhaps unworthy king. While in Viserys' mind not finding the white hart telegraphs the belief that maybe his son's nameday wasn't as auspicious as all the schemers and plotters were telling him it was. After each conversation Viserys has with the Ottos, Jason Lannisters, Lionel Strongs, he becomes more and more irritable. Those melancholic long shots of a despondent Viserys playing with his drink as you hear the faint noise of the crowd drowning out the background. The implication being he feels more and more isolated. They'd pushed him a little too hard and now he'll do the opposite. All of it cultimates with an anguished Viserys pouring his heart out by the fireside. This is when he truly makes up his mind that his daughter should be the heir. The daughter who finds the vaunted white hart. But can we be sure this omen of royalty was for Rhaenyra and not for Ser Criston Cole? Maybe he'll marry her and become King-consort. Maybe he'll play a royal part some other way. Maybe we'll find out he is Rhaegar and Lyanna's son lol.
my favourite Targaryen is Visenya Targaryen she was badass warrior queen actually she was Aegon the 1st Targaryen's sister queen so she is a conqueror as well they conquered Westeros side by side her dragon Vhagar at this show/time is the largest dragon and she's Valyrian steel sword called dark sister which is 39:24 that sword now its belongs to Daemon
Fun fact: there isn’t an actual law that men would inherit infront of women it just a tradition but not an actual law women can inherit this alone squashes otto’s reasoning because he just wants to see his own blood on the thrown, so viserys is wishing legal rights to name Rhaenyra heir she is the actual first born it’s her birth right not aegon but ofc most men of the realm were bias towards boys inheriting
exactly actually before Rhaenyra there was girl heir too which was Rhaena Targaryen but she didnt wanted throne which passed to king Jahaerys bcz he was next on the line...
49:18 There are actually a lot of Taragaryens who don't have white hair. In the books, Rhaenys, Laenor's mom, has black hair. Not white hair. She's half Baratheon on her mother's side. For some reason, the show wants to make Jon Snow the most special Targaryen by being the only one with non-white hair. There was no need for it. Jon snow is already the most special Targ.
Don't feel bad about not getting the names or the history all correct. Lannisters frequently have names beginning with "TY". Tywin, Tyrion, Tyland, Tybolt etc. Lannisters also tend to produce twins. Jason and Tyland are Twins. One is Lord of Casterly Rock (because he was born first) the other serves as Master of Ships on the King's Small Council. Targaryens and Velaryons are of Valyiran descent so their names have a lot of similarities. Aegon. Aemon. Aemond, Daemon, Viserys, Daenerys, Rhaenyra, Rhaenys. Laenor, Laena. Helaena. Trying to explain the Targaryen family tree is insanely complicated because they all marry each other. Added to this, they re-use names a lot just like in normal families. It is incredibly unlikely you'll be meeting any characters from Game of Thrones. Regarding the incest, Targaryens very rarely marry outside the bloodline. Aegon Targaryen, who conquered the 7 Kingdoms married both sisters. Viserys and Daemon's mother and father were brother and sister. Aemma was Viserys and Daemon's first cousin.
6:23 I like how they show early on that using dragons to fight is no chirurgical business the innocent casualties are unavoidable...helps understanding later events better like end of ep9 or ep10 7:39 Otto hating on Aegon this early on LOL nature vs nurture... I wonder what made Aegon the way he is at the end...this show's got very interesting topics to talk about 29:45 love that scene and double meaning in general ...the fact that she saw it could be a good sign but she let it go so is that bad? and does it have meaning in the first place? but also she never told anyone about that encounter, would people change their mind if they knew? Otto said he doesn't believe in signs...and the only one who knows is Criston... it's quite ironic when you know how it goes ... love the writing
It's so frustrating watching ppl blame Otto for "pImping out his daughter" when pretty much every noble marriage in Westeros was arranged. What other choice did he have? Like yeah, Otto is guilty of finding the best prospect for his daughter instead of marrying her off to a fisherman lol. That would be the duty of any man in a medieval feudal monarchy. Rhaenyra's position gave her the security to do whatever tf she wanted. Others like Alicent didn't have that luxury. "It's Otto's fault he married his daughter to the king cause the king's daughter might get jealous & paranoid" is not the ownage of Otto ppl think it is. It speaks more about the character of the daughter. Mfs have no understanding of basic politics blaming Otto for everything, thinking it would be sunshine & daisies if Viserys married Laena as if Corlys didn't spend his whole life complaining about the Great Council stealing his wife's throne. You switch Otto with the head of any ambitious noble house and the outcome is the same. The issue wasn't Otto or Corlys or anyone. It was a weak king making a bold & unpopular decision that he had no power to enforce.
Viserys is an interesting character because of the knowledge he has. As far as he's concerned he is a good king. He keeps the peace, he lavishes his kingdom with feast and entertainment, he's not cruel, and he doesnt have any bastards. But most of all everything he does is to be ready for The Long Knight.
48:27 even if it was 1st cousin it wouldnt be a problem even in real world royal families had sibling marriages... and cousin marriages doesnt count as incest marriage there are tons of countries cousin marriage is legal even my parents are 1st cousin but they love eachother tho :)
47:56 Targaryens are one and only dragonlord family exists since doom of Valyria, even in Valyria not all Valyrians were dragonlord/riders there was only 40 dragonlord family who ruled Valyrian empire for 5-6 thousand years and Targaryens one of 40 dragonlord/rider/ruler family like i said Targaryens are last dragonlord family exists since doom of Valyria after the doom Targaryens comes to Westeros and conquered Westeros since then they are rulers of Westeros (a continent) there are a few Valyrian house in Westeros like house Velaryon (Vaemond and Corlys/Sea Snake's house), house Celtigar, house Qoherys and house Targaryen but unlike Targaryens they are not dragonlord/rider family the guy we see riding dragon (Seasmoke dragon's name) is Laenor Velaryon he can ride a dragon bcz his mother (Rhaenys aka the queen who never was) is a Targaryen so he is half a Targaryen also his sister Laena is half Targaryen so she can ride a dragon too...
49:24 first Baratheon so founder of house Baratheon was Orys Baratheon bastard/half brother of Aegon the conqueror which means Baratheons are a Targaryen branch family they are related to Targaryens not only bcz their founder a Targaryen also one of their ancestor was Alyssa Velaryon whom half a Targaryen also Robert, Stannis and Renly Baratheon's (from GOT) grandmother was Rhaelle Targaryen thats why Robert Baratheon became a king after fall of Targaryens bcz they had strongest claim to the iron throne through their mother and father line so Danaerys and Robert Baratheon was second cousin... Targaryens generally have silver long hair and purple/violet/lillac eyes but show runners ruined it in the books Targaryens inhumanly/godly looking people and considered as most beatiful looking house... extra info: Daemon and Viserys's parents (Baelon and Alysanne Targaryen) were siblings and they were one of the lovely couple ever in this universe also their grandparents (Jahaerys the first and queen Alyssa Targaryen) were siblings too they are like GOATs of Targaryens and they were best queen and king Westeros ever had. We saw king Jahaerys from begining in this show the old king who started voting heir thing... they also were a great/lovely couple they together had 13 children one of them was Aemon Targaryen (Rhaenys/the queen who never was's father) but at that point most of them died if im not wrong only Saera Targaryen alive but she is in Lys (an Essos city).
Daenerys's father was Aerys the Second. This is Aegon the Second. Maester Aemon's brother was Aegon the Fifth. As the titlecard said, episode 1 is 172 years before Daenerys was born.

Ok, don't know if u r actually going to read this, but I'm gonna explain a couple of things. Rhaenyra's baby brother is named Aegon after Aegon I aka Aegon the Conqueror. He conquered 6 of the 7 kingdoms of Westeros & brought them together under 1 king. He had the Red Keep built in King's Landing to rule from there instead of Dragonstone, where the Targaryens lived during the fall of their homeland Velayria (Sorry if I misspelled it.) in Essos. He was also the creator of the Iron Throne. Yes, it can be rather confusing because they seem to reuse names a lot, especially Aegon. U want to know who was named Aegon in Game Of Thrones? Jon Snow was supposedly Aegon VI or VII, son of Leanna Stark & Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, Dany's older brother. I believe Daenarys' father was King Aerys aka The Mad King. Anyway, hope this helps. Now, back to House If The Dragon, Daemon is very unpredictable in how he handles situations. He does however love this family, although he can be a bit rebellious. That is why they call him The Rogue Prince. U can like him one minute, & then think him an a-hole the next. I loved the scene w/ the White Stag appearing before Rhaenyra, indicating she should be the next ruler. Well, guess that's it. Liking your reactions to the series thus far, can't wait for the next.😊
You’re probably thinking of Aegon so much because that’s Jon Snows real name but Daenerys’ father was the mad king Aerys ll he wasn’t the only mad king, there were many Targaryen kings that went mad & did horrible things.
laenor Velaryon son of corlys Velaryon can ride a dragon because of her mother is Targaryen and Viserys named is son Aegon after Aegon the Conqueror or Aegon I who conquered Westeros and Founder The Targaryen Dynasty
Dany's dad is Aerys, the Aegon you're thinking of is Aegon the Conqueror who conquered Westeros and started the dynasty. Jon Snow's name is also Aegon.
@@trashdeandre3882 bro stop it raegar already had a son named aegon it doesn't make any logical since for him to name another son aegon especially when he was dead by the time Jon was born and he'd have no way of knowing his gender or have a name prepared for him , d&d just had Jon be aegon because there lazy idiots who fused faegon from the books to Jon and forgot Rhaegar already had a son with that name .
Aegon is the original King that came to Westros with his 2 sister wives he also came because of the threat from the North prophecy! in this show they use the names over again some times Aegon 2 is also known to the world of Westros as Aegon the elder because there will be another Aegon 3 which will be known in this as Aegon the younger he is Princess son in history ! Aerys was the Mad King and Dani father yes Dragon Queen & Jon Snow from GOT are related to the Princess and Dani nor Jon are not related to any of Alicent kids different blood line! House of Dragons take place after Aegon took over Wetros and 170 years before the birth of the dragon queen. This was considered a very peaceful time until the DANCE OF DRAGONS STARTS!
The crab feeders could hear Caraxes (Daemon’s dragon) cuz he’s deformed and has a screech that gives his position away 😭. That’s why they used Seasmoke so they couldn’t hear him and have time to go away

Great reaction per usual Morgan’s iconic gasps Sam confident as hell in her horse answer and Dani confused asf about the first king😂Also finally some Daemon love he quickly became my favorite character Rhaenyra a close 2nd he’s a bad ass wildcard who loves his family I fuck with him heavy
This show takes place 180 before Dany. This has nothing to do with father Aerys II, aka The Mad King. For context, if baby Aegon takes the throne, he'd be Aegon II. Maester Aemon's brother was Aegon V. If Jon took the throne, he'd be Aegon VI.
If you look at the scene with Rhaenyra she has a face full of blood and at the end of the episode Daemon has a face full of blood too which considers that the two ended up with their faces full of Blood What a coincidence 🤔 The Daemon hitting the messenger and a Game of Thrones reference in Game of Thrones Jon snow he asks why they don't use messengers than crows so he replies it's been a long time since People,Matt Smith is killing it as Daemon Targaryen The Daemon he is very proud of he would never accept help from his brother daemon is not a bad person nor a good person he is a gray character, George Martin has said in several interviews that the daemon is neither good nor bad, he is a gray character and George Martin's favorite character is Daemon Targaryen, there are several interviews with the actor who plays daemon who is Matt Smith he also speaks several times in interviews that daemon loves his family and that he would never harm his family and that Daemon would give his life for viserys is for rhaenyra he loves his family and that sometimes they have their problems but he wouldn't hurt any of them and Matt Smith also said that the daemon doesn't want the throne he wants to show his worth to his brother and that he likes it to fight and he likes attention that's what he wants from his brother that's why he does these things
18:55 - Doe, a deer, a female deer. A stag is a male deer. "Hart" is an archaic word for "stag" and pretty much used interchangeably with "stag" (Otto refers to it as both within the same sentence).
Corlys I'd not literally a second son he was speaking metaphorically. Ok for starts this is set 200 hundred years before Game of Thrones literally no one in Danys direct family i.e. mother, father even grandparents don't have anything to do with this. Aegon I or Aegon the conquer is the name of the Targaryen that conquered the Seven kingdoms (technically it's only six because Dorne isn't apart of the kingdom at this point). So when they're referring to Aegon or the conquer they're most likely talking about him. Viserys isn't a "bad" king he's put in no win situations that both have consequences. He's actually a pretty good king if not a bit indecisive. Also you're combining Rhaenyra and Rhaenys.
"Must be nice not having to take care of your own baby." Funny story. Every female on my father's side who has ever had a baby has not taken care of it. Always the grandma. History always repeats itself I guess.
I'm not sure (someone correct me if it's not the case) but I do think the Baratheon's have Valarion blood (in their distant past) so there are a few dark haired people that can ride dragons (it has to do with the magical bloodline - or something like that).
It's unbelievable how bad Viserys is at fatherhood. In this series, he is a bad father to Rhaenyra, but in future episodes he will become an even worse father to his other children. One king is to blame for the fall of the Targaryen house.... Interestingly, after watching the season to the end, I suddenly realized that Otto did not offer the worst option... to marry Rhaenyra and Aegon))
No that’s not Dany’s dad. That’s Aeries and he’s not born for another 100+ years. Edit: No, no one from Game of Thrones will appear in this show - 100+ years and all
no you are wrong! yes Velaryons are Valyrians too but there was only 40 dragonlord family and this 40 dragonlord family ruled Valyrian empire only 2 dragonlord family name we are know it is house Targaryen and Balaerys but since the doom of Valyria Targaryens are only dragonlord family left other houses gone extinct at this point/time house Velaryon has dragons just bcz of Rhaenys Targaryen's children which means they are half Targaryens ofc they can ride dragons...
12:40 They laughed and made jokes when show gave them infromation about Aegon the conqueror. And then they kept saying that they remember the name from somewhere... Like what???
I kind of understand why Daemon did that with a messenger (not justifying insanity), imagine spending two years in a war with no support, no news and nothing, for his brother to show up with a letter saying he would help win and with that get the credits
I mean y’all disliking Daemon was already weird af considering he’s by far the best and most popular character soo if y’all don’t like him after this episode then I don’t know what to say.
Daemon was pissed cuz in the letter Viserys said may this aid help US win the war. Viserys is just now carin Fabius the small folk in his kingdom he’s mad now cuz he wants to help win a war he didn’t want to be involved in. Remember Daemon is the only one of royalty and the council who actually cares about the little people he mingles with them
It is driving me damn insane how these 3 claim to have watched game of thrones and have no fucking clue what main characters names are let alone the most pivotal character in the entire story named Aegon.
Moments like at 40:15 is why I find Sam to be the most awesome reactor..she absorbs new info fast and isn't afraid to change her opinions accordingly...Ofcourse I love Dany and Morgan as well
It was a good episode, and has been a good show, up until the point where Daemon turned into Rambo McNorris and suddenly gained the ability to take on entire armies and have arrows avoid him. That totally ruined it for me. Plus he's now ruined the parlay system for any army he is a part of? Yeah, makes no sense.

daemon is a psychopath who is just asserting himself continually, he doesn't care about consequences to everyone else from his actions. so he takes risks, but without his dragon and his privileged position ( gained by previous dragons of his family ) he would be a despicable failed criminal.
@@sitting_nut He's not a psychopath he's just a big piece of shit I would take my chance on killing if I had it.

It is actually frustrating how they refuse to pay attention
The reason the US had "trouble" in Afghanistan is because the federal government controls the drug trade. They wouldn't have had any problems conquering caves.
If Daemon was king....trust me in GoT you would have sooooooo many Targaryens and 100s of dragons
The night king would shit his pants when those Targaryens went to war
especially if my girl Visenya Targaryen was alive
uh why? daemon is a psychotic idiot who doesnt command any respect and doesnt know much of anything about war or politics. he only produced four kids and all of them were with his lawful wives.
FACTS Daemon and Caraxes are the GOAT Targaryen and Dragon
The sole reason Alicent "pulled the Queen card" (on a bard) was bc Rhaenyra pulled the Princess card lmao let's follow the sequence of events. I think the "none of it need be this way" was also about this like we don't need to be doing all that. Mind you she seemed unaware she was gonna be Viserys' pick and she really didn't do shit if we think about it but that's another conversation

@@user-qd6jh9fd3u like i'm tired 😭
fr, like people also forget this has been going on for over two years at this point.
Otherwise there'd be more of us picking up on just how many efforts Alicent made to try and rekindle their bond for something that, as you said, ultimately wasn't in her control - including behind the scenes where she would for sure get no thanks (and didn't)
As for misogyny it's 100% part of it but it's also regular Team Black thinking (which heavily runs on it).
Daemon just wants his brothers respect...absolutely no one elses

Paddy is as great an actor as the character Viserys is infuriating!
Aegon is a common name in their culture. The Valyrians first arrived in Westeros when Aegon the conqueror came made the voyage.
not all Valyrians tho almost all of them died bcz of the doom only 4 Valyrian house arrived in Westeros which is house Targaryen, house Velaryon, house Celtigar and house Qoherys but after the doom of Valyria Targaryens were last dragonlord family exist and let us not forget Aenar Targaryen was the first Targaryen arrived in Westeros he settled house Targaryen to Dragonstone which is a Valyrian castle Targaryens stayed at Dragonstone like 100 years untill rise of Aegon the conqueror...

You guys are the WORST at paying attention 😂😂😂
Daemon is literally the best character on the show. Jon Snow's real name is Aegon Targaryan.
They said Rhaenyra 75 times this episode and y’all go right back to calling her Rhaenyrys 🤦🏼♂️
Aegon the fucking conqueror.
Laenor was riding the dragon not vaemond, laenor Is corlys son and vaemond his brother
6:23 I like how they show early on that using dragons to fight is no chirurgical business the innocent casualties are unavoidable...helps understanding later events better like end of ep9 or ep10
7:39 Otto hating on Aegon this early on LOL nature vs nurture... I wonder what made Aegon the way he is at the end...this show's got very interesting topics to talk about
29:45 love that scene and double meaning in general ...the fact that she saw it could be a good sign but she let it go so is that bad? and does it have meaning in the first place?
but also she never told anyone about that encounter, would people change their mind if they knew?
42:50 Daemon offered his sword and they were about to kill him with it
Aegon is a common name for Targaryens. Paying homage to the conqueror
"The road ahead is uncertain but the end is clear. Aegon will be king." - Otto Driptower.
Daemon Da GOAT🔥🔥🔥

Aegon the Conqueror is the great great great grandfather of Rhaenyra.
The mad kings name was Aries not aegon and his madness had nothing to do with incest Its because he was kidnapped and tortured.
Rhaenyra started with the power thing 😭
The crab feeders could hear Caraxes (Daemon’s dragon) cuz he’s deformed and has a screech that gives his position away 😭. That’s why they used Seasmoke so they couldn’t hear him and have time to go away

This show takes place 180 before Dany. This has nothing to do with father Aerys II, aka The Mad King. For context, if baby Aegon takes the throne, he'd be Aegon II. Maester Aemon's brother was Aegon V. If Jon took the throne, he'd be Aegon VI.
If you look at the scene with Rhaenyra she has a face full of blood and at the end of the episode Daemon has a face full of blood too which considers that the two ended up with their faces full of Blood What a coincidence 🤔

I'm not sure (someone correct me if it's not the case) but I do think the Baratheon's have Valarion blood (in their distant past) so there are a few dark haired people that can ride dragons (it has to do with the magical bloodline - or something like that).
Using Damon as bait was laenors plan, is not like Damon went on himself without the knowledge of corlys
