ULTRAS & CHEERLEADERS? 😲 is THIS the MOST UNDERRATED Premier League Stadium Atmosphere?

- Selhurst Park, the home of Crystal Palace Football Club, is often regarded as one of THE WORST Premier League Stadiums BUT 👉🏽 is that a myth? One of few clubs in England with an Ultras Culture, Palace may well be one of the BEST in England's top flight in terms of ATMOSPHERE 🤔 When people brand an English football stadium as THE WORST - they're often talking about the aesthetics... the fact it's old and rugged. But for many of us, we reminisce about "the good old days" and in fact those kind of stadiums are what we LOVE 😍 Some people have regarded Selhurst Park as one of the worst Away Days in England 👉🏽 BUT WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK⁉️

I've been to Selhurst Park 3 times with Tranmere. Fantastic ground.
Awesome video, love that you went to the old crystal palace sports center. I met Linford Christie there and John Regis. Bit if Maxy Jazz too...nice touch. Amazing amount of thought put into this 👏👏
Oh that’s class! 🤩 glad you enjoyed the video 👍🏾
Ry your videos have single handedly reignited my interest for English football. Your content is refreshing and goes beyond the surface level of football which I love. Keep it up, wishing you much success ! Cheers from Atlanta Georgia
Glad you like them! I’m trying to go against the grain a bit and not follow the main stream media narrative 😊
I'll take Holmesdale over the prawn sandwich bridage we have in this country all day, every day. We have the best League - and the worst fans. Respect to you Palace from The Arsenal.
Love your work mate. Your videos are informative but your character gives it a great light-hearted and human approach.
The thing that tickled me the most from your videos was your comment about the Bayer rash cream in the Bayer Leverkusen video! 😂
Look forward to seeing more of your travels over the season! Make sure you come down to Exeter soon and experience the Big Bank, the current biggest behind goal standing terrace in the EFL. 👍
Haha thanks for the kind words 😅 the rash has cleared up thanks to Bayer! I will make sure to get down there & check that terrace out!
As a Palace fan, you've nailed this fair play. 10/10 Just a heads up you don't pronounce the L in Holmesdale 😁
Thanks mate, I can’t pronounce a lot of words 😅
Selhurst park great ground been there loads of games one of the best games I saw Palace vs Millwall great goal from Chris Armstrong and best keeper Nigel Martyn
Im going to selhurst park for the first time against Leicester and now you made me even more excited about the game
Enjoy! It’s a great ground 🤩
Enjoyed that 👍🏻 nice bonus meeting a legend of the club 🙌🏻
Cheers Stacey, yeah he was a top bloke. Did slide tackle me on the way out though…
Great video, old school ground, love it
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the support as always 😊
Great video again. Love your content Ry. Keep up the good work. I think in terms of Ultras, us Brits are just more reserved.
Thanks mate, yeah it’s just not very British is it 🤣
As a Bury fan normally languishing in the lower leagues we used to love when Palace Wendsday Blackburn rocked up. But I’ll never forget that Palace set fire to the Cemi end. Pre health and safety a bloke with an extinguisher dealt with it. Up the Eagles.
It’s a shame we don’t see more pyro & firework displays in English football but we love our Health & Safety over here 😅
I'm 78yrs old now and remember the old muddy terraces at Selhurst when.i was 7 or 8 so don't knock it now, great ground and best atmosphere in the league.
Can’t believe you been to a stadium near me, their atmosphere is the best in the prem for sure😊
As a life long Millwall fan, all I can say about this lot is. Weird.
🤣
Respect to Millwall from a Birmingham fan. Two clubs with authentic atmospheres and not some rehearsed stuff
I'm sorry for your loss
funny how fans can turn something around, it was a boring as boring could be - almost as quiet as Ipswich - years back, seems like the supporters have done something to change that. Arsenal seems the same. no atmosphere away fans aside, now seems they actually have singing and so on. Good work
Fans make a stadium (GROUND) don’t they 😊

I think the fanatics only have the block for league games. Cup games are who ever books those seats.
We had cheerleaders at Portsmouth...not for long. Most people at halftime want a pee, pint and pie not watching a bunch of girls half-arsed prancing about. So 90s.
For Ultras,it's taken off big time in Scotland. Even the lower league teams there have them!
'The Crystals.' - 'Are they sexy?' Haha, you made my day by asking these blokes so openly! :D It's making me quite sad that another lovely classic British stand, covered by a gable roof, will be gone soon. P.S. I was quite disappointed by the view on these cheerleaders as I thought they would be at least be wearing skirts, maybe tummy tops... :D Best regards from Germany
@@ici_marmotte 🤣 they looked a bit young mate so thought I’d keep my camera away from them 😬
no gable on the main stand
Nice stadium good video
Cheers Daniel hope you’re well mate
Go back when the fanatics are there
It's Bristol Rovers not Bristol City who Wikipedia has Jim Cannon falsely listed on his Wiki page.
Poor Jim 🤣
I remember Norwich had cheerleaders during a few games. Was not a permanent feature sadly.
Bet you loved those ey mate 😉 great fan support from your lot last night 👏🏽 Shame about the result - the game could have gone on for another 3 hours and Norwich wouldn’t have scored 🤣
@@RysFootyParadise 1st half, bad start, but wasn't too bad despite losing Forson. 2nd half, awful!
Superb
American Gooner here...how they feeling about Nketiah around those parts? Shame we had to let him go but I think he'll shine.
They’re still closing in on a deal for him I’ve heard, but not much else. Would be a great signing for Palace 😊
11:05 - That's Villa Park!
Im a falace fan, and find the HF embarrassing tbh. not ultras at all. just wannabe's, dressed in black. what "hardcore" fans choose to have a tues off? theres been instances of them trying to bully other fans out of their seats, so they can sit together. other people have said theyve been dug out, by the HF, just because they werent singing along to the chants. pathetic.
I’d be surprised if the Ultras Culture was adopted up & down the country as it’s so “UN-BRITISH”
You *NOT!* a Palace fan, why come here lying?
How hard it is to have proper active support stands & stands for seated spectators? Since stadiums in the UK went all-seated everyone has been lumped in together. Why stop the Ultras creating atmosphere when 1-2 people complain about the atmosphere?
Football in the EPL has to start finding itself for supporter culture to become revived. 🥁📢
Ultras who don’t attend cup games lol ? What’s that about, must be a reason surely
A strange one… wouldn’t get that in Germany
@@RysFootyParadise definitely not
It was just this game and idk why. They’ve always been there
They attend cup games at Wembley tho…weird
Not all the seats were on sale because it's only the second round, normally they'd all be there
i like this about crystal in south east London 😅
Only premier League team with cheerleaders 😮
Do you remember the first premier league season when they tried it for Monday night football 😅
No they’re embarrassing
Club was formed in 1861 👍🏽🔴🔵🦅
it's a tricky one but I discuss why the founding date is contested in tomorrow's video 😊
@@RysFootyParadise it's 1861.
The football club was formed in 1861 non professionally by a cricket club, turned pro in 1905, the blue check shirt we were wearing in the FA cup for a couple of seasons was the original kit in 1861. It's all documented, it only came to light about 5/6 years ago from some books found in Crystal Palace library. ❤💙🦅
6:13 Palace top boy
1861.
So Crystal Palace do two Tiffos a season wow Forza Garabaldi do about half a dozen and ours are fully fan funded also in most grounds flares are banned so being an ultra is little hard to achieve and I'm sorry but having some puppet leading chants and banging a drum does not an ultra make
❤️🦅💙🏴
❤💙👍😎
Im a fan of those Cheerleaders 🤷🏽♂️
🦅❤️💙
I love Selhurst and Palace
Who does this geezer support
Just like Charlton, very strange people
Mug got to be a MFC plum bmob 🏴
Palace you will run and you no you will MILLWALL no one likes us we don’t care Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
please non league football side
Cheerleaders are so cringe. Cultural submission.
I dunno… some look alright… 👀
Nice to see them there, it’s been a dying trend since some of the wokies got up in arms about it all.
West Ham supporter ere, Palace ultras😂😂😂😂 they locked themselves in a their boozer when we had a go a few years ago, little mugs with sunglasses on😂😂
They are “fans!” not gangsters you bubble blowing fool!😗
Half the stand was empty during this game and the atmosphere was not any better than other teams
It's a first round Carabao Cup game on a Tuesday night against a team currently in the league below us, give us a break. We don't have tourist fans or glory seekers. Just locals who are mostly working class or lower middle class people. We also have terrible facilities. It's not somewhere you go unless you love football.
😂😂😂 plastic club

@@TomClarkSouthLondonyour right I am probably just really jealous that my fans just can’t all get a drum, flare and flag and have a nice sing along chanting we love you with cheerleaders who do nothing but shake there arses for money and dance to a song that has no connection to the club at all! Yeah I suppose I’m just jealous, perhaps you could bring your guitar to Selhurst park, that way you might get some attention rather than be a failed musician on UA-cam, or are you too worried about upstaging the ultras 😂
Ultras and cheerleaders, as if the Nigels weren't a big enough joke as they are 😂
Ey up… Brighton fan? 😁
@@RysFootyParadise nah, Millwall 😏
We always laugh at the Ultras, aka silly boys, at Selhurst Park. I'm sure that most of them couldn't name the players. But its somewhere for them to go once a week to feel part of something. Wave silly flags, hold pretty flares, look all menacing in black. Stop the world i wanna get off !!
PS good video though.
😅
