As a Dutchman I've visited about 12 clubs in the UK. All were boring and silent. Once I went to Selhurst the club stole my heart. Personally I'm not a big fan of drums, but the atmosphere is the best of the PL and so I visit Palace a couple of times a year standing with the Ultra's. Up the Palace!!
i dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know a method to log back into an Instagram account..?
I was dumb lost my password. I love any tips you can offer me
Hello Mr Dutchman I'm a Crystal Palace fan who also hates them annoying DRUMS and personally I'd love to smash them DRUMS over the annoying drummers head along with the other annoying drummer that also bangs them DRUMS at the ENGLAND INTERNATIONAL MATCHES.

Love to hear we have fans from overseas brilliant ❤💙🦅
@@millsy1861 Made a whole group of Palace friends last couple of years. Going Newcastle away next month, always take some Dutch friends with me.
Simple solution. Let us stand again. Sitting down killed the atmosphere.
Who do support? Do you think safe standing will make a comeback?
@@dwkickoff Bristol City fan lucky to have seen them in the Old First Division against, Leeds, Man Utd, Liverpool etc. Limited standing might make I come back. I dislike the phrase safe standing. It was always safe to stand, only bad gate management and police/stewardship created problems. But, yes LIMITED standing might come back. But it will never be the same until we have full standing stadiums again.
@@dwkickoff Yes but I PRAY it's in my lifetime as I am a Millwall fan since my first game v Hull in 1962 a mere 57 years ago and I want to be alive and to STAND AGAIN....
Why is it still bouncing at Celtic Park then ..?? Lol

BCFC we get 26,000 when we’re doing shit 30,000 + when we’re doing good and usually take 4,000 away. Don’t sound that bad to me when we come from a city of 250,000 people .

God I love Palace support. They're loud, have catchy, chants, funny as hell and they never stop. Unfortunately, football in the UK has been so corporatised, and sterilized. Best of luck to them.
Not to mention they are the only ones with pretty girls before the game 😂👌 fair play to them.
Football in England has been "corporatised", just cause your top leagues full of tourist doesnt mean the rest of the UK is.
@@Jie67 nothing corporate about palace...we make are own atmosphere and we love it.

Never really established in the uk because you can't stand up you can't have a beer oh and if you dare have pyro expect a knock on your door by the old bill a jail sentence and a ban from every ground in the country oh and let's not mention if you want to watch your club home and away you have to re mortgage your home to pay for it
People seem to forget the 70s when we had terraces and fans were allowed to have flags and banners before it all became sanitised.
Can't even bring banners into Wembley stadium "because it might cover the advertising boards"
@John Cornell it did right thru 80 90s an brought them back in noughties an they have caught on
That’s no excuse, the atmospheres at Celtic, Dortmund and many clubs throughout Europe hasn’t been affected by this !! We all know it’s because 90% of the fans in England have no clue and are totally plastic !! An selhurst Park fs what a lot of shite ..! M23 Derby ..!! 😂😂😂😂😂 yeah worse than an old firm it’s that fierce ..! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 sober up hah
Wembley Stadium completely destroyed FC Bayern München’s Tifo at the Champions League final against Dortmund because the middle tier were corporate seats. Who the fuck puts corporates in the middle of an active area?! 🙈
It's not just that. I went to see man city play in Czech Republic. The people a few rows down had huge flags and I could hardly see anything
when Brighton ran you into the streets of Chelsea and beyond,
“France to a degree” lmao what..? France has some of the most legit Ultra groups in the World.

As a Turkish fan and member of the Beşiktaş çArşı group I can say this. What your doing is great. But I dont think it can go too far in England. The ticket prices lead to rich, posh people coming and sitting down. Also the culture is different there. You have humour, banter, spontaneous chants written on the spot. But we don’t have that because fans here in eastern europe are aggresive. This is because our view of the sport is different. You go to the games to have fun with your mates, watch some good football, and then go back to your nice lives. Here in the eastern european countries such as Turkey, Greece and so on; the economy is shit wich leads to our lives being shit. So we go to the games because the stands are our life. It is the only place where we are free to go fucking mental and forget our troubles. So don’t have banter, we have pyro, noise and fights. Anyways I like your ultras and we are all brothers at the end of the day. ⚫️⚪️🦅+🔴🔵🦅

Palace were always known for being quiet and timid and since these ultras popped up their atmosphere is louder but fuck me it's cringeworthy, middle class rebellion at it's worst.
How is the drum unique nearly every lower league game has at least 1 drum
And they drive me mad, as that is the only way you get the supporters to respond, banging a bloody drum, utterly pathetic!
Those drums are bought and put in by the club themselves, played by a club staff and to the same fucking annoying tune. That’s called Americanism. This is different. Do some research on ultras
drum wankers
The Wolf I support a team in non league and as far as I know the fans are responsible for the drum at most clubs pal, do some research before commenting next time mate
@@brickreviews4771 that's incorrect most if not all ultra groups in Europe uses drums its not an American idea
Hillsborough killed it. An overreaction to a problem that could have been easily solved by tearing down high fencing and proper marshalling procedures. Safe standing will bring back the terrace culture. Also stop banning use of flags and banners. The US has come a long way - check out the college leagues in basketball and football - they have an interactive culture that encourages fans to support their teams - for the past 20 years the FA have done everything in their power to make the fans their last consideration.
How come we do so badly at home, if we've got the support?
the way we play away is how teams play us at selhurst and we cannot respond to it for some reason
As much as its true palace fans are amazing and easily the best in england. The stuff they were saying about selhurst park is ballocks having an old stadium doesnt make your support any better, its fans reasoning for why they dont have a new ground
@VillaPrepared why do they please explain, give reasoning? the same fans that say the atmosphere is better because selhurst is a old small ground say their support inst anywhere close to the Ajax ultras or Dortmund who both have modern stadiums compared to selhurst
@@kavhart im with you on this pal, its nothing to do with the ground as to why the atmosphere is good at Palace... its just down to the lively fan base. You're also spot on about them saying it here as a way to justify their stadium not being fixed up/rebuilt when the reality is their owner is too tight fisted to put his hand in his pocket and have a newer stadium built. The reality is though that Palace has a great fanbase and noisy ones at that... fair play to them for that 👍
KingDoms Kingdom of course this isn’t always true but generally older grounds tend to have better atmosphere compared to the bowl stadiums. Look at city, Southampton, mk, Coventry, Leicester, etc. All bowl stadiums have shite atmosphere, the only good bowl atmosphere is Sunderland and it was much better at roker park

Middlesbrough have an 'ultras'. Even as a boro fan i don't think they are very ultra, but call themself it and so technically are ultras
I remember Selhurst Park being really quiet in the Championship. This will all die down. Just like it did at Stoke. Stoke's was the most atmospheric ground in the Premier for a while. Then what happened?
It's great they have tried to do something to improve the atmosphere @ Selhurst. I went a few times in the late 80's early 90's and as a United supporter I along with many other reds had to go to the Palace end as United always sell out their allocation. Back then the only significant noise came from the United fans.
Tbf to Palace they were not the only club like that. There were loads of clubs who couldn't fill their own terraces without other United fans in their ends. Cov, Wimbledon, Bolton, Villa, were among the ones I remember.
Celtic Park also suffered from a very poor atmosphere if they were not playing a top European club or Rangers. They also started their own brand of ultras but unfortunately they have become political which should simply not play any part in a specific football club imo!
I'm Andy a wednesdayite but I've ALWAYS said palace are some of the best fans around. Loud and passionate and friendly!

It seems a bit lazy to suggest that only Palace have adopted this style of support in England's top tier. Huddersfield, Leicester and Middlesbrough all have atmosphere groups that adopt a typically more European approach when it comes to support.
I wouldn't call Leicester's clappers a European approach to an atmosphere
@@jordansperling1271 I was obviously not referring to that. The clappers are the club's doing and nothing to do with an atmosphere/ultras group. They have an atmosphere group called Union FS that use drums, flags etc. as well as putting up a tifo every now and then.

I don't get this lazy stereotype that English football has bad atmospheres. It is only the really big teams like Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd and Man City that have terrible atmospheres because the tickets are too expensive so the stadium is full old rich people who don't cheer as much and tourists because these teams are globally popular. Everywhere else has a great atmosphere. I think the atmosphere in England across the 4 division is much better than Germany, because it is spontaneous, more inventive and humorous than in Germany. Many English people feel the organised support culture of Germany makes it more fake and staged.
its just this stupid association of atmosphere=ultras/tifos by the media, I'll take a good old english you're shit chant over a load of people throwing fireworks and dancing with their tops off making it hard for anyone else to see the game any day
@@klaus9968 Maybe fake is a bit harsh, but I prefer an organic, spontaneous, inventive and humorous great atmospheres of England than the pre-prepared tifo and a guy facing crowd telling everyone to cheer atmosphere of Germany. When you have a good atmosphere in England it is more authentic. Even a Klopp said their is more passion for football in England than in Germany.
@Sam I not saying the German football doesn't have spectacular looking atmosphere, but I just feel England has more organic and authentic atmosphere because it is spontaneous and funny. I remember when Leeds United played Brighton. Brighton has a reputation of being a city where where a lot of homosexuals live. So Leeds fans chant 'does your boyfriend know you are here', to suggest all Brighton fans are gay and they go to football games in secret, because their fictional boyfriends will be disappointed that they are doing something so heterosexual. The Brighton fans who are probably most straight men, chant in reply, 'You are too fat and ugly for us.' That level of funny chanting is better than any tifo or a guy with a megaphone shouting the same chants all the time.
@@klaus9968 You clearly know nothing about English football claiming there is no rivalries. West Ham-Chelsea-Millwall, Liverpool-Man Utd, Man Utd-Leeds, Liverpool-Everton, Arsenal-Tottehnam, Chelsea -Tottenham, Aston Villa-Birmingham and Newcasle-Sunderland to name a few. England has more great rivalries than any nation in the world because there are so many big well supported teams in England. England has 10 Bayern Munichs, but Klopp said there was more passion in England because all teams have many fans from the 5th division to the Premier League. There is a 3rd division team in England that gets higher average crowds than half the Bundesliga . I think Germans sometimes forget there football culture is based of English football culture from the many of the chants to the hooliganism. English people took football to Germany.
@@klaus9968 Not to level of England. Remember the English 2nd Division is the 5th highest attended league in the world. Plus the Premier League has a higher occupation percentage than the Bundesliga. London has 15 teams in the same city and all nearly all of them sell out. Germany doesn't have that.

@@andrewwren8257 I requested a Police Escort back to my car when travelling alone away to Spurs and seeing many Spurs fans near my car in a quiet spot after the game.
They reluctantly took me back to my car only for the mob to have disappearred.I wasn't too popular..lol
Isleofskye was that to protect the spurs fans from you
You've sussed me out @ @@StoutProper I, vividly., recall one occasion when I,single-handedly ,took on the whole of The Shelf and Park Lane If there was one of them there must have been 10,000 in front of me.It was a "Gary Cooper style" Stand - Off" and all I had to protect me was a Hydrogen Bomb and 50 Grenades and they began to advance towards me.I assumed they were all on drugs wanting to take me on as they were only being 10,000 strong .I retained the most extraordinary calm which disconcerted them and I attacked. Within 3 minutes all 10,000 were scattered along Seven Sisters Road.I will never forget it......then there was another occasion...SHOOT ! I have to go as I am in the most fearful rush as I have "8" coming for supper ce soir in my Suburban Paradise . Toodle-Pip Old Chap....
Great video, from a Palace fan, but remember its "stadiums" not stadiuaaaa
Wolves is quite good too ;)
Obviously never been to Goodison at home.
Ultras have been in Scotland for nearly 2 decades. It makes the atmosphere 100 times better. Corteos, tifos, are class.
Lived in Croydon in the eighties and went to all Eagles games . In those days the atmosphere was not as loud.
I am so proud of my club :)
Went to Palace away to watch Everton and their singing section was barely heard
Exactly the same when I went there as a Cardiff fan

I ain't no Liverpool fan, but you can't really call there atmosphere boring 😂
I'm neutral and YES you can!!
Reminding me a little of turf moor here. Of course I'm biased as a claret myself but that place has a special energy
That drum does my head in. Great support, but leave the drum at home and do it.
Didn't Eric Cantona beat a Palace fan up?
He kicked him. Flying kick.
😂😂😂😂😂 You can't compare this tinpot derby to Villa Blues
Noway
Respect to Palace fans. Forza Napoli.
Celtic 's Green Brigade have been doing this for years, and Celtic park (Paradise) has one of the best atmosphere's in the world.
yes and no. Celtic is good but nothing compared with germany or turkey
@@pellejohansen You speaking from experience? As far as Messi and Ronaldo are concerned, it's the best atmosphere they both say they have played in.
@@bhoy1013 Only for big European games and old firm. Apart from that is's pish up here!!! Rapid Vienna showed Celtic how to sing when they visited Celtic Park.
@@KryptonitetoallBS Stop talking pish! Oh and there is no Old Firm, Rangers died 😆
