    The TVR Tuscan S is the coolest car ever made, seeing John Travolta in the film swordfish driving a stunning TVR Tuscan in Chameleon Blue back in 2001 I have always wanted to drive 1, and thanks to HPC classics I got to do that and share the experience.
    With a lightweight fiberglass body, a 4 liter straight 6 engine, 395 bhp, and no drive aids this is as raw a driving experience as you can get.
    This TVR Tuscan S Mk2 is currently for sale at HPC classics so contact them for more information

    One of the best TVR vids I've seen, and with some well placed footage, I was able to feel that acceleration with you. And what a great colour combo...didn't think the Tuscan was one of my faves, but this car looks and sounds absolutely fantastic. I could be tempted away from lusting only for the lovely V8...😎

      Thank you I am so pleased you enjoyed it, it’s an incredible car, maybe it’s not quite as direct as the T350 but looks wise and no roof just adds to the drama. v8 has my torque mind you

      @@DamoDrives Crazy cars that are sorely missed.
      When you consider how much TVR achieved with such a limited budget too, bespoke switchgear!

      Trying to arrange another couple of TVRs for the channel as well. Something also about older cars with very few electronics and it was down to mechanical grip to keep you on the road going in the right direction. Just finished filming in a Ferrari Dino and Jenson 541R and while they are not fast by modern standards put a huge grin on my face and a massive amount of driver engagement

    Awesome video bud. Loved that you showed some of the oddities of the car. I'm in the States, and we, sadly, can't yet get one imported. We have the 25-year rule. Have to wait till the car is 25 years old (down to the production month) then it can come in with no issues, legally. Canada has a 15-year rule, so they already have a few of them. I'm watching the calendar as I want a Mk 1 Targa in the worst way!! Make mine purple or own of the reflex colors (chameleon). 👍👍 Keep up the excellent work. 👏👏

    Left bottom dial fan speed, right is temp. I'm a proud owner of a 2005 Mk2, it'll be up for sale when I die, not before :) BTW, many TVR specialists provide a main bonnet mod to allow you to lift it on struts. Great content/review.

      Cold and wet might make me a little nervous , whats the reliability like in the winter ?

    • @LawrenceTimme
      @LawrenceTimme 2 роки тому +2

      @@DamoDrives yeah with no heat in the tyres is very easy to spin them if you aren't careful. As for the reliability, it's fine starting in the cold weather as long as the battery is kept on automatic charger.
      The main issue is the chassis in the wet and salt, being steel and powder coated if it chips and then get wet and salty it's going to rust pretty fast. I have also found my electronics like headlights, passenger door can sometimes not work so well after it's been washed 😅 I'll get those sorted next year now.

    Wowser these are such good looking cars. Im not too clued up on these but were these the ones with the problematic engines or did they fix the issues on the Tuscan S as compared to the Tuscan Mk1. Also i noticed some Tuscan S's have a different shaped dashboard and instument cluster with a three spoke steering wheel, are those older or newer versions compared to the one in this clip? Thanks

      I’ve had very little trouble with mine(touch wood as I type) apart from the clutch giving out at about 25k. It’s still on it’s original engine which is on 52k and still runs very smoothly. I will say though that it does take some maintenance, I take it to a TVR specialist every year who keep it running as it should before things go wrong and I have had some big bills, but these cars are getting on a bit now so that’s to be expected. I’ve had the car twelve year this May.

    • @DamoDrives

    Reminds me more of a Viper then a Aston, and maybe a little bit of Cobra . It's allot more curvy then a Aston. I really like the Tuscun not so much the Cerberra the long doors and square tail lights make them look wonky.
