He made me a fan of tennis. Made me follow tennis closely. I got up at 3:30am to watch his matches at the Australian Open. He was the reason I started taking tennis lessons. I’m sure there are many like me who got into tennis because of him. Winning the fan favourite player award for 19 years straight is another one of his crazy records. His retirement has left a big hole in the tennis world. His impact to the sport of tennis is huge! He is the GOAT.
He is THE reason why I started playing, watching, and falling in love with tennis. He was one of my idols all the way through childhood to now, it's heartbreaking to see him retire in such a way but it's the best for his health. No one will ever surpass him as the goat of tennis.
He's the true role model for so many tennis followers...such class act on, and off the court. I know that I'll miss him so much. He's the main reason I started to watch tennis more years ago. He made tennis even more elegant.
Greatness cannot be strictly defined by the numbers. Those who try to encapsulate greatness in that vacuum are sure to never understand true greatness. Roger was and is the definitive GOAT. He changed the game and ushered in the common era with grace and deadly accuracy. His impact is unmatched. His rivalries throughout his career ensured a dominance that no other era has or likely will eclipse. He pushed his peers to greater heights who, in turn, pushed him to an even greater stand. He is and always will be the standard that all players are measured by. His appeal and draw may only be matched by Nadal. His career and impact will never be repeated by any player. That's greatness. Roger Federer--the Greatest of All Time.
Federer. The greatest player of all time. No doubt, we all wished he would stay longer on tour, but that’s life. Wishing him a good life after retirement. GOAT 🐐
You want to know the impact this man has on the tennis fans? Every time I see him play, I want to head out to the court and play. That says it all. Thank you an infinite amount of times, Roger!
Our magician will leave the court, but he'll still turn the magic feeling in our hearts forever. The most gracious, elegant and classy tennis player of all time. Legend. Roger Federer. Thank you, Mr. Federer. Enjoy your retirement
A.great player my favourite tennis player.he is a insperation on and off the court.enjoy your retirement Roger thank you for the joy you gave us for All these years
Well it was an honour, seeing and watching you play tennis for many years in such a beautiful fashion and elegance. Thank you for everything. And good bye Roger. Good bye.
Love that battle with Murray at 7.55, with the crowd going berserk. We'll just have to keep watching all the great videos, there's nothing that can compare with the brilliance of his play.
I think the craziest moment slash skillset is the Roddick moment (13:15), to me its the best showcase of pure talent the world of tennis has ever seen (and the most insane shot ever)
I got interested in tennis very recently, kind of by chance and solely because of Federer. Now, I am legitimately so upset I missed ALL of it, the 20 years of wonder gone while I was not paying attention. I don't know much, but it feels like only him could do this so beautifully, and his magnificence is not something I'll get to see again, even mimicked by someone else, it would not be him. Regardless of being good or not, some people do things a way that touches your heart more than others would, you can't help it. Rewatching his matches from the past is one thing, having nothing to look forward to is an other...
13:15 will always be the best shot ever, sorry everyone else. And he was having such a good time during that rally too. He makes tennis look fun and so, so easy even though it's really hard.
He's incredible. Thanks for putting this together! There's a duplicate clip of him playing djokovic at the atp world tour finals, but i didn't mind seeing it again!
I think Roger started laughing at Rafael's accent and then they just started laughing knowingly. Congrats, Roger, on having given yourself a great tennis career, but also for us.
Greatest year for FEDAL 2022 Grand Slam champion list: 👑🏆🐐 🇪🇸1) Nadal: 2022 Aussie open champion. 🇪🇸2) Nadal: 2022 French open champion. 🇨🇭3) Federer: 2022 Wimbledon champion. 🇪🇸4) Nadal: 2022 US open champion.
Yup, in indoor arenas and big stadiums (the likes of Ashe, Langlan etc, the big ones) you have to. The balls in play slightly differ in terms of fluffiness, stiffness, players have different preferences; also depends on whether it's a first or second serve they're about to hit, etc. So to keep it fair, spectators are required to throw them back, yes.
The GOAT of tennis & greatest champion of all time list: 👑🏆🐐 🇪🇸1) Rafael Nadal. 🇨🇭2) Roger Federer. 🇺🇸3) Pete Sampras. 🇺🇸4) Andre Agassi. 🇸🇪5) Stefan Edberg. 🇦🇺6) Lleyton Hewitt. 🇷🇺7) Marat Safin. 🇸🇪8) Bjorn Borg. 🇩🇪9) Ivan Lendl. 🇺🇸10) Jimmy Connor. 🇯🇵11) ninja warrior.
It's too bad you guys cou;dn't include that moment in AO2018 I believe when Roger was playing hide and seek with his coaches like little kids. And it wasn't even for a scripted segment.

It is Federer who made Tennis so popular else it was machine & power game for rest all. All credit to him for making it a enjoyable game of varieties.
That last scene is great with Rafa smiling and hugging Roger.

Never too late to be a Federer fan! You'll just have to go to one of his exhibitions he'll do :)
❤️ Federer: The Art of Tennis ❤️
A Class Act indeed!
You are in a league all your own, Roger.
Well done!
4:32 Berdych's reaction is perfect.
13:15 will always be the best shot ever, sorry everyone else. And he was having such a good time during that rally too. He makes tennis look fun and so, so easy even though it's really hard.
Federer magic will be sorely missed 😢
He is the reason I play tennis.
He's incredible. Thanks for putting this together! There's a duplicate clip of him playing djokovic at the atp world tour finals, but i didn't mind seeing it again!
13:19 one of the best shots in the tennis history
That live with Nadal always get me😂
Fantastic! Thanks very much ❤️🎉
The last point in the reel is so wholesome.
There just never will be someone like him ever again as simple as that
I like his lack of triumphalism, his modesty in showing off.
the creativity of Federer……
17:53 A point so good they had to include it twice
"Roger, noone called it out."
"It WAS out."
🇪🇸1) Nadal: The Beast.
🇨🇭2) Federer: The Magician.
👑3) FEDAL: The Greatest.
When Roger called his own serve out. 🤣
I think Roger started laughing at Rafael's accent and then they just started laughing knowingly.
Congrats, Roger, on having given yourself a great tennis career, but also for us.
Technically 49 moments because the WTF 2012 shot vs Nole is there twice....

GOAT
Yes
Tennis
3:30 have they to return the ball to the court?
Yup, in indoor arenas and big stadiums (the likes of Ashe, Langlan etc, the big ones) you have to. Min 18:00 this scene you already showed in the beginning of the video.
Oh! Wow! Thirty seven? Add the high pitch voice and cartoonishly laughable Englishmen accent.
😟😟💪💪💪💪💪❤️
Just cut the retirement over-coverage already. He’s got crap load of money and don’t need ur ash kissies.

Nadal and Djokovic are better than this weak era champ. Don't @ me you n words
What is your criteria for week era?
Era which had Hewitt, Davydenko, Ferrer, Nalbandian, Safin and many others, maybe you haven't watched enough tennis back then.
