You have one of the most ICONIC COLLECTIONS of all time. Funny thing about Picks. While in my Grandparents garage. My granddad died in 81 and I found his garden tools. The pick came from his dad. It’s in my collection today!
Awesome video! Thoroughly enjoyed the whole 12 minutes!

Those are some really cool registers. Who else but Randy would save those? I really hope you open the museum someday and that all of this is preserved for generations to come.

Randy , love this channel , your collection is as eclectic as you are ! Your vast knowledge of vintage items is astounding . I myself have just inherited a Sweda model M . I would love to get it up and running. Any assistance I could get would be greatly appreciated . Keep up the good work !

My Dad was the youngest of 10 brothers and sisters. Every summer he and his siblings would rent a bungalow for a week or sometimes two on Grant Ave in Seaside Heights with the entire family, including everyones children, which was about 40 people. We would all go to the Casino pool every day. Our spot was located in the left hand corner of the pool area , opposite end of of the diving boards. Back in the 1960’s the ticket booth would ink stamp all paid customers. As soon as I saw your casino wooden chairs and lounges, I knew that they were from the casino pool. If those chairs and lounges could talk what great conversations they would speak out. Thanks for sharing another episode of stuff! Of course during the day at the pool I would be in the casino Arcade most of the time, hanging around with all the wonderful Arcade machines. So many great memories that I cherish from our days in Seaside Heights NJ.

Yes Vic, we share those memories.
We were so lucky to have been part of it then.
Things are nothing like that now.
      Unbelievable how all that changed

I have a Sweda 46 from Disneyland in Anaheim CA. The outer case of mine has a faux wood grain finish. Mine prints out a paper receipt that has the old Disneyland logo of the Sleeping Beauty castle with “Disneyland” in the old font at bottom of receipt. The three registers you have in the video are model M registers with table printers. The Model 46 registers have a stainless steel base where the model M machines have the painted base (which contains drawer). It took a lot of work getting this machine to work since these machines were built for heavy, daily usage. When they sit idle for years and years, the lubrication oils dry up and basically glue the machine’s internal components which results in jambs when you try to use them after long periods of non use.

The A&P's went out here in Washington in the early '70's. I was sweeping their parking lot in Seattle every Saturday in 1967 for five bucks! Course they fed me Van De Kamps donuts afterwards too!🤗👍🐿😋

Something tells me that if this stuff were set up in a working museum... if Randy couldn't clone himself to explain all the stuff..........it just couldn't happen. I enjoy watching.

The name stamp “Walt Disney world” is held in by a single screw just under where the audit roll. You don’t need power to take the B key out.

I would never take the Walt Disney World stamp out! That makes it special to me!
I leave the a or b keys in so I don't lose them!
Never had z key as they drilled the locks, and my x key has been on my old key ring for 40 years! 😂

I have been looking to purchase one of these Sweda Model 46 cash registers. The challenge is finding one that is still functional as ones listed on eBay or other online sites are for parts/repair only and shipping is a challenge due to weight. Do you know where one of these can be acquired?

    • @MainStreetRANDYLAND
      @MainStreetRANDYLAND  4 місяці тому +1

I do not know, as i have never searched for them.
But I assume that when you are concerned about the price of shipping that it will be all the harder to find one, as then it has to be local to your area.
