Years ago after the Revolution was disbanded. I called Dr. Finks studio to see what the rates were for gig. Well, the person who answered the phone was Dr. Fink... I was nearly speechless.... He graciously talked to me as a fan for 30 minutes... I got to ask him every freakin' question about the break up of the Revolution at the time. It was one of my coolest moments in my life.
Hi Matt, I'm a big fan you too are an amazing musician, I hope the Revolution will come play in Germany and I'll get to meet you. I met Wendy & Lisa in the late 80's. Prince was a major inspiration for my own musical journey that included collaborations w/ your keyboard colleagues Roger Smith (Tower of Power) and Brad Cole (Phil Collins).
I dont know u i am now a doctor of medicine amd would prefer if u fanatics would leave my prior life and wife outt of it...selling t shirts now on ebay and patreon gifts accepted...otherwise go bother Tommy barbarello
Saw them AT THE SAINT GEORGE THEATRE on 7/28/ 16. This past Thursday!! Amazing!! The medicine we needed!!! Met them afterward too. What a Purple experience!! Share yours with me, please?? TY XO
In hearing how these iconic musicians came to be into forming such an innovative sound that would forever change the concept of music, I'd only hope that the industry would get back to such. Unfortunately, it's more these days of quantity overriding quality
Met you Matt, Dr. Fink on 7/28/16...At The St. George Theatre...The Purple Experience - Tribute to Prince.. and what an experience it was!! You were the medicine we all needed. I fervently hope we were as uplifting to you as you were to US!! TYSM!! I was the one who said to you when we met "You must be tired!!" And we laughed and I congratulated you on the Anniversary of the Purple Rain Movie. Well, I have fallen totally in love with you and remain eternally devoted to you. I will be at any and all "Purple Experience" Performances that you have and I can get to...from now on. Thank You from the bottom of my heart. That night had a unique sensation to it. Mixed with happiness, excitement, love and the sadness of loss we can't help but feel...strikes the heart like a bullet in the dark. It was the experience of a lifetime!! I WILL be back and bring everyone I know with me!! LOVE you!! I mean that!! XO
Wow!!! None Ya!! How are you?...It has been too long..Don't know why I am getting the notifications this late!! XO
ANGELA FALSETTA yes I know i hate that he's gone it's just terrible I thought he would live to be well into his 80's did you disable the comments for you followers because I sent several though g+ and it wouldn't allow
Prince was very anti-drugs and alcohol and yet we get told he died from a drug overdose.? Dr Fink's interviews are always interesting and honest. Thanks for sharing
He got addicted to pain killers which many people take for injuries and to recover from operations. Initially taken with good intentions but before long they are addicted. Sad.
Doubt any local groups got air play on commercial radio anywhere in America even in early 80's. Maybe an hour local licks show at 7 AM on a Sunday. Even with cocaine.
Why? He was only on the drugs was because he was in pain. He was not an addict in the "crack" sense. Everybody always said he was drug free his entire career. Many abuse prescription medication because there is no relief for chronic pain except drugs.
This is another proof that Prince didn't mess with drugs. Someone drugged and killed him and try to tarnish his image, and failed to realized that Prince music is to powerful for that.
+Keith Thoms But he wasn't a addict the media always lies he might have took a peek here and there they killed him he was in tip top shape till the end he knew they were trying to kill him that's why he put the Twitter post up and then mysteriously came down just when you thought you were safe,! and @ the concert in Atlanta wait a couple of days before you pray for me he knew
ah, timelines. Around the "World in a Day" was FRILLIANCE! so there. But they were really CHEAP on the vinyl! I found two copies. His folks were Eartha Kitt fans I think I just found out I'm related to her. I was driving a burnt out '74 Maverick in '84 around DC. MD black and white tags that said "Morena" And they really should have let me get my Great grandma's Crystal ROSARY out of the car when they towed it. DC sucked, but I wasn't getting sucked in either. (Daddy wasn't Knighted by KofC until 1999... we were dissed)

This guy was way ahead of his time in terms of his on stage appearance.

Well he is going back to a different time zone you ironic pipsqueek...ve vill find u American do not anger us.

Drug comments around 7:00 are awkward to hear given the circumstances of his death
Why? He was only on the drugs was because he was in pain. He was not an addict in the "crack" sense. Everybody always said he was drug free his entire career. Many abuse prescription medication because there is no relief for chronic pain except drugs.
I know that. However, he did die because he was addicted to drugs, it's just ironic considering how anti-drug and alcohol he was during his life.
This is another proof that Prince didn't mess with drugs. Someone drugged and killed him and try to tarnish his image, and failed to realized that Prince music is to powerful for that.
That's the bullshit they wanna share with us. It's up to us if we wanna run with it.
