Loved these recent videos comparing several prosumer machines. Also, funny how Todd introduces himself and Marc exactly the same way every time, it's like a recording. :)
+Whole Latte Love It's OK :) It's just that I was watching them back-to-back and I had to double-check if I was watching the same one again, because the intros were so similar :)
As an Australian, I wish everywhere in America served coffee that looked like that instead of whatever that black liquid is they pour out of those jugs.
Could you compare Rocket R58 vs the ECM Technika IV profi for example. Or do you consider that machine to be in another league? Profitec pro 700, Alex duetto III etc?
Nice vid! Very informative and easy to understand :-) What is the differences between using a copper or a steel boiler? Taste, heat up time, maintenance etc...?
+Krikstar123 Hi, Glad you enjoyed the video! Copper is a more traditional choice. Talking with our prosumer machine techs there is a slight preference for stainless steel boilers. They seem to think they are less prone to scaling. Copper will tarnish stainless does not. Most copper boilers use brass end plates. Difference in heat up time are negligible.
@@Wholelattelovepage Thanks for the quick reply. That means it's out of consideration set. Right now, I am leaning towards buying the Technica Profi V. One thing that is holding me is that you guys do not provide free flow control for it, but do provide it for a bunch other machines. Is there a chance to provide this one as the same type of promo?
Hi gg1, Material used in no burn wands is usually food grade silicone tubing. I'm contacting ECM for more specific information and will post their response here.
Hi .... I would like to avoid teflon if I may ... is it possible to order a machine without teflon coating inside the wands? Which ECM models do not have teflon coating in the wands?
Hi, It's a flexible Teflon tube in the wand and not a coating. The tubes can be removed. I'm checking with our machine prep technicians to find out if the tube can be removed by them during setup prior to machine being shipped and will let you know. Which ECM machine were you interested in? All ECM machines with no burn wands have the tube as do machines from other manufacturers like Expobar, Profitec and Rocket Espresso
I dont suppose yous have the measurements of these machines from the very back to the middle of the front feet i need a machine for work to fit on a 17" shelf
Hi Mary, If you go to any of the product pages on our website like this one: www.wholelattelove.com/profitec-pro-500-espresso-machine Machine dimensions are listed under the Specifications heading
Hi DP, Thanks for the question. Not certain why they do not currently offer an HX machine with PID. Do check out the Profitec Pro 500 PID. It's an HX machine. Profitec and ECM machines are made by the same company. Hi, I’m willing to run a small low volume cafe and still confused between the ecm elektronika and the nuova simonelli musica. What do you think ?

+ascosta Hey, thanks you've been watching a lot of them! We'll have a lot more coming and mix up the intros a bit :)

Ideed, that is extremely sad.

Hi, can you do program the Electronica to do preinfusion?
Hi SD, Thanks for the question. No programmable preinfusion on the Electronika.

Hi ... what is the material used within the 'no-burn' hot water wands and steam wands of the Profi and the Elecktronica?
Hi gg1, Material used in no burn wands is usually food grade silicone tubing. I'm contacting ECM for more specific information and will post their response here.
Thank you for the quick reply! I love your site and your informative videos!! Great job!!!
You are welcome. I heard back from ECM this morning. They say it's a Teflon tube lining the stainless steel wands.

Why ECM doesn’t have PIDs on their HX machines, while Rocket have it on theirs (Mozzafiato, Giotto), that are otherwise very similar?

Why include the Technika and Mechanika when you don't discuss them?
