I just picked up this git. It plays and sounds absolutely killer! There’s only one glaring prob that I haven’t seen mentioned anywhere online and it’s that it’s a nightmare to play live on a dark stage. Especially if you jump all around the neck when ripping solos. The clay fret markers quickly become invisible on stage. Use the force…
Great demo, I want one! Beyond that, Jack, I must say that your playing has been impressive for a very long time. What is even more impressive is to see over time how you continue to evolve and expand your playing! Everyone has their "space" they occupy in terms of style, genre, etc, but yours is always moving and expanding. Well done!
Jack, you are sounding fantastic! I want whichever one you happen to be playing at the time! This is the first ‘61 demo where the pickups sounded as good as the ‘57’s.
And I'm gonna add that I was originally looking at the 61 until i heard the 73. All the vids of the 73 sound better to me than the 61 except this one sold me on this model. I'm glad because i like the features of the 61 better. Gonna get the white
"If you enjoyed listenning to this guitar..." ...of course I did! That was a great arrangement you put together and played there. Never disappointed in your demos; they are great. I usually prefer a solid color on my strats... but that tc-burst with the white pickguard looks really nice.
Really good with the extreme spectrum of well-seasoned wood and carefully made pickups. The steel saddles are tiny and unexpensive but they do a lot for tone quality, too.
Yeah they sold out darn quickly... just put an order down here in a guitar shop in the Netherlands for the AV II in fiesta red. They spoke to their supplier (Fender most probably) and it will be january earliest when a new fiesta red arrives.
I actually had a chat with Peach the day they came out. I decided to wait as I wanted to avoid impulse buying. Came on to the terms I will buy it regardless, went on a product page and they are gone lol. I can wait till late January. I'm paying off my amp in Feb so it's the best time for me financially but that 7.15lbs Fiesta they had will hunt me forever
Love it! Is it possible to buy one of those without the label on the scratch plate? For some reason it ruins the aesthetica for me having that black label on it. Am I the only one?
These guy's know how to sell you another one guitar you really don't need. After my custom shop Stratocaster 1959 Hevy Relic I really don't need that new vintage shit. This 61 strat sounds not close to a real vintage guitar but looks good like your dream. Isn't it ? It's just a GAK.
It's not really fair to compare Suhr and Tom Anderson to Fender production runs, the price gap is vast, Fender Custom Shop are the equivalent and they certainly stack up against other boutique brands!
Fender needs a vintage line, they are the original and need to own it, similar to Gibson. Yes there are endless variations in the market and many probably better quality from smaller shops. But hard to fault fender from releasing this missing lineup, just wish the woods these days were older and lighter
Damned if they do, damned if they don’t. As soon as Fender and Gibson try something new, everyone has to bitch about it. They know their bread is buttered with their vintage lines, so why would they ever deviate? They are a business, after all.
Oh you'd cry and bitch if they didn't offer affordable vintage models as well.....maybe just be grateful instead of complaining, fender is killing it with the number of offerings...
This guy has to be one of the best guitarists on UA-cam! A national treasure!

What do ya use to over come it? I used neon gaff tape@@99jic
use the Force. Love it.
You need more practice if you can’t navigate a guitar neck without looking at the fret markers.
@@VanBaylenthey’re there for a reason lol
@@keltons0I have two guitars without any fret markers at all. The other guy is right - if you can’t navigate without them, you need more practice.
Fantastic playing. These videos are such a joy to watch.
I so enjoy Jack’s playing. You should do the riff breakdown on your channel.

This is probably the closest thing to a John Frusciante signature strat that we’re ever gonna get.
Outside of custom shop for sure
@Chris M Brazilian rosewood is usa only, mostly reserved for customshop. Thats grade A Indian rosewood.
Id go for the 61 masterbuilt or teambuild w 3tsb faded relic. If one came out standard its 3600 and customshop 7200
Rumor has it Fender are testing a JF dig prototype. John played the suspected model on stage last month for 2 songs!
@Chris M they use rosewood on these models.

Great playing as usual Jack. These new Strats and teles are phenomenal
60s strats just sound the best.
yes sir
No
No to no , yes to yes sir
I think so too. 60s anything tbf lol
This fender sounds really nice. Vintage II is a real thing
A sound that makes the listener fall in love. What is the amp that this beauty is connected to? Greetings.
Really good with the extreme spectrum of well-seasoned wood and carefully made pickups. The steel saddles are tiny and unexpensive but they do a lot for tone quality, too.
Nice playing.
Sunburst and Rosewood. Nicest Strat combination ever imho
You might be right there, Jens!
Excellent demo!
Beautiful guitar and tone 👌👌👌
Sounds killer!
Will you get the Fiesta Reds again anytime soon? All 6 got legs in less than a day from the premiere

@@almightyguitarnerd 7.15 lbs?!! That was a nice one. Let's hope our new ones will be as light then ;)
Yeah, they usually 8lbs and over everywhere else. Fingers crossed for yours to be a monster buddy! It's gonna be a long several months
BTW - Rosewood on the one here is mind blowing too!!!
Really wonderful. Sorry, I never liked narrow tall frets ☹
I recently played one at a local Music Store and thought it was heavy. It sounded nice though
Jack, you should do that sea foam green 1957 AV strat! Wonderful playing as always.
Just bought one. Unreal. The fretboard... just needs a few coats of montypresso and fretboard conditioner. She'll be pure mint.
Montypresso and fret doctor applied. Looks insane now. Board is just dry when new
@@vhsreclaimed1998My LP was the same way.
Hmm, I don't agree with the general comments. This one sounds a little thin to me, no roundness on the low end. Great playing though.
Great! Which amp using in this demo?

Hi There! The label is part of the peel of plastic sheet that protects the scratch plate. The label can absolutely be removed once purchased.
@@PeachGuitars Cheers mate! Man, I'm dumb lol
@@NeoSpiritx they go to all that trouble to make it as close to the year as possible then put a sticker on it that can't be removed 😂
i got one used, after a neck reset, fret dressing, change pickups to cs texas specials it does not suck anymore. thanks fender
Thought it sounded great
He's crying cause he overpaid (+2k more) for that POS reliced CS guitar!!!
Sounds identical to JHendrix tone. To me that's worth the $. Even the need to tune mid playing ;-)
Playing with nothing but dirt does not give a true picture of the instrument.

Poly base coat.
It says nitro on the fender website?
@@jasperhaze8309 Nitro 'finish', as in top coat.
Seriously? Guess they have leave something out to force people to buy custom shop.
@@Mikelennon78 jeez how was it on the real 1961’s then?
@@hellodrjeckyl this is something that makes me think not to buy one. It’s a shame really.
The colour of the rosewood fretboard looks awful.
It needs oil. My Les Paul had that problem when I bought it new.
Nice but my Squier sounds just like it
True.
@@rexrathtar3893 Cant tell if your joking. But my squier clasic vibe 60's plays and sounds amazing
it will never sound like a '61 Fender original
It looks like a dream guitar, but it sounds like a 200 $ guitar from asia. Sry!
As Asians, we can't make kind of sound like that
Once again Fender rehashing the same old designs !!
