Building an Electric Longboard | Full Build Guide
Вставка
- Опубліковано 18 бер 2020
- Correction: Controller connects to receiver via 2.4GHz not Bluetooth
Also quick re-upload note: UA-cam does not process HEVC format well....
Lesson learnt:
-After nearly having my shoe and board purposely being run over by a truck and cars running me off to the side of the curb countless numbers of times, It seems drivers wanna run over electric longboards MORE than bikes (and electric scooters)
-Don't buy anything from DIYElectricskateboard. (Dexter is a dick and there are loads of forums online complaining about his cheap low quality components)
-The new VESC 6 is way better than the VESC4.
-Foam/rubber tape is way nicer than regular skate griptape for longboards
-Doing the board DIY means you can upgrade it to a dual motor or better components whenever you want
Thanks to SkateMetric's "FoostedBoard" build guide for the initial components purchase list

엔지Angie can always trust you deja vu my brain ❤️ for a second I thought it was the original upload!
Is it okay to dry run the motors to show your friends ? I'm assuming yes cause tons of people do it
Really enjoyed this tutorial. Can you post links to the upgraded ESC and Motor?
Don't think I can but I got the EMAKERS VESC from their website (The MiniFOC Plus).
Flipsky was the same just on their website (190kV 6355 Motor Sealed)
Hope that helps :P
@@BKYLiew Much appreciated. Hit me up if you want to go for a ride around London once we come out of lockdown.
@@ThomasDeGarnham haha unfortunately I'm back in Hong Kong till it's all over
@@BKYLiew where is EMAKERS based as can't get the info from their website, did they deliver yours to the UK OK or was it to hong kong? Would they GO-FOC DV4 dual esc be a better esc than Flipsky Dual FSESC4.20 from banggood? thanks man
Ok so I have a question..
Hello my name is Ryan and I’m working on my first build so I wanted my eboard to be unique so I bought a lot strange parts you typically wouldn’t buy for esk8board I just need help putting it all together and what else do I need? I would love a fast charging system do I need a bms? From what I heard the Xiaomi batteries have a bms but how would I charge both simultaneously? so far I have 2 Xiaomi M365 Electric Scooter battery packs 36v 7200mah 2 brushless motors from ebay garrt rc brushless motors they are 540kv and max 4500w also for vesc system I plan to get a Maytech Upgraded High Current 200A VESC Controller based on VESC6.0 Speed Controller with Anti-spark Circuit Comb with 20W Cooling Fan and 12V DC-DC I also have 2 enclosures both from mboards! Please I need help wiring everything and what other parts do I need? So far I have those items mention 6mm bore 20teeth motor pulley 45 teeth wheel pulley a battery indicator and battery switch button and a charger port connector.
Hey i was just wondering where i could find the pulley system parts?
not sure where you're based but probably your local online DIY e-board store would be your best bet!
where are the links for the parts?
I didn't store the links, just searched for the ones which were the best price for me while I was in London
What is your experience with diyelectricskateboard.com? I just spent 400 bucks worth of stuff from them and I just saw some reddit threads saying they are no good... I'm nervous.EDIT: OH SHIT... I just read your description...
I have seen this ohne before 🤔
yeah sorry! reupload because the other one had really wonky colours :/
I agree that building is part of the fun, but for anyone who can't be bothered (or doesn't want to risk messing something up), and wants a nice board similar to a (now no longer in business) Boosted, check out these brands: Exway, Meepo, Backfire, Wowgo, Apsuboard, and Verreal. There are a ton of great options out there in a variety of price points from those manufacturers.
why didnt you add links?
