Such a shame about Jack I feel for you Mark. Thank you so much for all the breeding video you have put up this year they have been very informative and interesting and I have loved every minute of them all.
Dearest Mark I'm so very sad to hear about your sweet Jack, and the loss of the ram babies bless you for everything you do to make us happy with your videos
Sorry about Jack! He was a beautiful fish!! His offspring appear just as he was.....beautiful! Circle of Life I suppose..... as usual, your videos are fantastic and informative...Please! Keep up the Great Work Your Doing Mark. I’ve learned sooo, much and I’m greatful to you for breeding the angels. Just started an Angel tank, Blackwater to be exact, your info will help In The long run, thanks! Look forward to your next.
Nice range of setups. I could never see the attractions of Pleco's they cost so much, when you get them they hide away, but they look nice it's just a shame that they don't come out more.
Sorry to hear about Jack!!! Gonna miss the lil bugger!!! Nature funny sometimes!!! The new fish room sounds like a lot of good vids on there way!!! All.vids you do are great!!! ⭐️🌟💫
I got some new Espei rasboras in last friday and have been quarantining them, noticed today that I have some very fat boxy looking females so I've put a cup with some pebbles with a big chunk of susswassertang on top hoping that they will appreciate this as a spawning mop. I've had fish spawn in quarantine before and have missed it! So this time I hope I'll get lucky. Thanks for the breeding videos, it's really helped me be more confident about what to do. And RIP Jack, I'm glad you managed to get another generation from him so in a way he's still around.
I was going to ask if were thinking about rummynose and cardinals, very exciting! cant wait for those vids, your current breeding videos are amazing! Keep up the amazing job teaching us all!
Sorry to hear about the losses, you gave them all the best chance possible and like you said and we all experience. Sometimes it just happens. It seems like only five minutes ago, you were waking the pond up from winter slumber though. Time has gone so fast. Well done on the 10k subs Mark!
Sorry to hear about you loss mate . R I p jack and the little rams . Fish keeping can be very stressful like you say . But I must say the rest if the fish are looking fantastic. Love koi mate .
I have loads more since I stripped the tree when we cut it down at the perfect time of the year so if you want more just let me know. As it is a Turkey Oak I can't get any more like that as all my other Oaks are English but you're welcome to all the leaves I have left no worries.
Those poor little ramlets. I'm sorry for your loses. Thus far (only been in the hobby for six months) my loses have been small. Everyone tells me that it's only a matter of time before something cataclysmic takes place. I hope I can shrug it off like you.
So sorry to hear about Jack. As for Lemon..... we haven't seen him in a long time. Maybe when you start putzing around the shop building stuff once again.... he will be in there "helping" and we'll get to see him.
Try and source scarlet badis. They are beautiful nano fish. Have you heard of them. They have incredible color and behave like a chiclid and are smart and make decisions. Great video thanks for the update
Sorry to hear about your fighting fish. Same thing happened to me, no sign of a problem in the morning, just dead by evening, who knows why, really upset and haven't replaced him yet, just sticking to my Endlers
Lovely video as usual. Sorry about Jack. It always seems worse when you have one on his own my Betta died a couple of weeks ago. I think we all have good and bad weeks. If you've seen me on FB you will know the weather loach had a lump (which thankfully has gone) ruby shark has white spot and tonight to cap it all off the heater on my big tropical got stuck ON of course and I found the temp at 30. Luckily I check them a couple of times every day because I have never trusted the damn things. Here's hoping all good from now on for all of us. Really looking forward to the marine room and seeing that jelly fish tank.
I have two infusoria cultures on the go. One is just like yours and the water is very cloudy and it stinks to high heaven. The organic matter in it is cabbage. My second culture which I started from the first contains no organic matter apart from a piece of banana skin as was recommended to me. I am getting a much better yield from this than from the traditional cabbage/lettuce etc, the water is much clearer and most importantly it does not smell - not even a bit. All I did was fill up the container with tap water, place a small piece of banana peel in it,about half a length of the 4 you get from a banana, so approximately 1/8th of a whole banana peel. Leave it to stand for 4 days then add some of the infusoria from your current stinking mess. Give it a go- you'll never have to put up with the smell of rotting vegetation again.
It's really sad to lose a betta because they have such personality. I'm taking a break from them for awhile. Sorry to hear about your fry being eaten. My rams have yet to raise a brood without eating them. I'm trying various things.
What about running a bunch of your small tanks from a large heated sump tank? Maybe add tops and insulate 3 sides of the tanks with clear bubble wrap? I did that when I was waiting for a replacement heater once.
Sorry about Jack, love the Videos. I have a question, can Ram fry at 1st day free swimming take Micro/Bannana worms? Just lost a batch off 200 ish longfin blues and can't for the life of me think why..
Oh man, poor Jack😢. I just read that fish can’t digest the skin of blood worms. I am curious about your thoughts on that. I was also wondering if you might talk about your experience with fish illness and how you go about treating them. Your expertise would be very helpful. I’m looking forward to you salt water endeavors. I’m very intimidated by salt water aquariums.
I normally fed him a good mix of bug bites blood worm daphnia. Bloodworm are ok in small numbers but not to often then they can pass the skins ok. Fish illness is a huge subject as there are so many conditions but It's a good idea tho I could cover some of the more common ones .
Gutted about Jack and the Rams, Fighters tend to have had a hard life before you get them home so don't beat yourself up mate. At least his off spring are local bred and top condition so other can have them for a longer happier life hopefully. Tell that pesky cat to stay out the fish room from me. Been keeping and trying to breed GBR for 20 years and never seen them raise their own off spring, thought this was it this time. Fingers crossed next time pal. More importantly what we calling Jack's son? We voting up? I'm boring and will put up Simon the Siamese fighter.
Sorry about Jack, love all your videos keep up the good work, do you think you will ever set up a native uk salt water rock pool aquarium, that is something I have been thinking about and would love to do, but will have to wait for one of the kids to move out for the extra space for tanks 😉
I'm so sorry about Jack...he was wonderful. Hopefully his son has inherited his personality. The tanks all look great. I appreciate all your hard work. Just curious, will you be revisiting the jellyfish tank?
Sad to hear about Jack, I was always hoping for a glimse of him in your videos. I feel sorry for you too, since you care so much for your fish. I have lost a few fish, and I always feel very bad, especially when I don´t understand why. There is so much to learn for me. My first Betta is sick right now. I think he has a bacterial infektion, and a little finrot. He has not eaten 4 days, has been breathing heavily, preffering to sit next to the surface. I moved him to a tank by himself, lowered the waterlevel, put a lot of cattapa leaves in, a little salt (3g/pr.l), temperature 28c, and an airstone. I got some medication (Esha202). Today his breathing seems better, and he tried out different resting spots, but my hopes are low. Since he was my first fish it´s really hard if I loose him. But I got him through velvet right after I got him, so I´m crossing my fingers. Thank you for showing the Betta fry, it always puts a smile on my face.
Hi Mark so sorry about Jack 😢 I lost my Siamese Fighter in almost same situation! Water was perfect but he just died for no reason 🤔, it's just one of those mysteries us fish keepers have to get used too I'm afraid! Sad I know 😥, Do you think Lemon 🐱is responsible for Jacks death?
Aww rip Jack. I've heard the imports don't do so well, certainly the ones I had didn't last long. I can put you in touch with sone decent UK breeders tho if you are looking for breed quality ever again.
I was thinking the same thing. A piece of cling wrap mostly covering the tanks surface leaving an air pocket between it and the water, will keep it warm enough and humid enough for a betta.
Night temperature in the Netherlands are dropping, I think it’s the same thing in Britain, anyway it was just a thought, fortunately you have enough babies of Jack to keep his bloodline going, good luck with all your fry and fishes.
I know you had some dimaond testras you were planning on breeding, what happened to those? I think you had them in the Bench Tank? I don't see any now in there.
RIP Jack. His genes will live on. Long live Jack, Jr.! Jack Jr. has the colors of the Scottish flag. Does the Scottish flag have a name like the English flag has Union Jack when at sea?
really sorry to hear about jack Mark like you say betta's are very temperamental wounded for ya mt8 he was deffo a good looker, just ordered a AAA GRADE Betta from Thailand absolutely stunning also copied what you said about breeding the gold ram's except i've used the German blue ram's and I've just noticed this morning that the female is guarding her fry so thank's for sharing your knowledge. How's the zebra plec's coming on the colour's on the young one's look awesome anyway good luck for your next project mark and keep your chin up mate
RIP Jack, but good to see his off spring are coloring up nicely! Amazing to see the Zebras are doing so well - keep up the awesome work Mark!
Sorry about the losses and set backs, BUT I want you to know I really appreciate the honesty. Keep up the good work!!!!
Such a shame about Jack I feel for you Mark. Thank you so much for all the breeding video you have put up this year they have been very informative and interesting and I have loved every minute of them all.
Sorry to hear the loss of Jack. Jack was a beautiful Beta.We all miss our pets regardless of species and size.

Rip little jack, left a good legacy with all them fry.

Thanks Will. 👍😀
Man, I just love your zebra plecos.
Oh no Mark....i was looking forward to seeing those baby rams grow up.... such a shame. But as you said...' good and bad news :)
I'll let them go again and we'll have another go. 👍😀
Oh, I'm sorry. My condolences. RIP Jack. He was a nice little guy.
Sorry to hear about you loss mate . R I p jack and the little rams . Fish keeping can be very stressful like you say . But I must say the rest if the fish are looking fantastic. Love koi mate .
Sponge filters make a really good feeding station for fry and the fish are looking great.
Yes mate they sure do. Thanks for the almond leaves, and those oak leaves are huge! 👍😀
I have loads more since I stripped the tree when we cut it down at the perfect time of the year so if you want more just let me know. As it is a Turkey Oak I can't get any more like that as all my other Oaks are English but you're welcome to all the leaves I have left no worries.

Sound like your having as much luck as me at the moment. But we must press on! 👍😀
Yes I'm looking forward to seeing the jelly tank up and running.
Looking forward to getting into some saltwater tanks this winter!

I will definitely be giving this a go. I'm always up for learning. 😀👍
Sorry to hear about Jack and the baby rams. Keep on tankin'.
R.I.P. Jack
But your babies are looking awesome. Never seen those colours here in the netherlands
Dude! Your angel pair is gorgeous! Im a sucker for angels... :D
So sorry about Jack. My heart goes out to you.
It's really sad to lose a betta because they have such personality. I'm taking a break from them for awhile. Sorry to hear about your fry being eaten. My rams have yet to raise a brood without eating them. I'm trying various things.
Poor Jack rip fella. All the best Mark

Sorry to hear about jack 😥
Oh Mark how sad to hear about Jack. He was a stunner. Lovely to see his babies. Will you be selling them at some point?
Thank you he was a lovely little guy. Yes I'll be selling some off at some point.😀
Sorry about Jack, love the Videos. I have a question, can Ram fry at 1st day free swimming take Micro/Bannana worms? Just lost a batch off 200 ish longfin blues and can't for the life of me think why..
I use walter worms as they're smaller than the others. Or just feed infusoria for a week and then microworms.
Oh man, poor Jack😢. I just read that fish can’t digest the skin of blood worms. I am curious about your thoughts on that. I was also wondering if you might talk about your experience with fish illness and how you go about treating them. Your expertise would be very helpful. Thank you. Yes I plan to do just that in the new fish room. 😀👍
Great can’t wait 👍🏻
R.I.P Jack .Sorry to hear that Mark
I'm so sorry about Jack...he was wonderful. Hopefully his son has inherited his personality. The tanks all look great. I appreciate all your hard work. Just curious, will you be revisiting the jellyfish tank?
Yes the jelly tank will be in my new marine room. 👍😀
Sorry about jack! I’ve been here since you where breeding them so sad !😭

Well i hope he pulls through. Thanks for watching.👍😀
Thank you. He is still hanging on.
Hi Mark I have 2 Questions 1 know anything about Altums and did you do a video on blood worms if so have you a link love your vids from Ireland
No I haven't made a video on them. I buy them dry wrapped. 😊👍
Hi Mark, have you managed to breed Clown Loach? I found your videos by accident, but what a find, great videos.
No I've never bred those guys. Challenge 😀👍
What type of Emperor Tetra is that, iys gorgeous! RIP Jack
Sorry to hear about jack mark.
Sorry to hear about Jack.
RIP Jack. Betas are so special.
Sorry to hear about Jack, where/how will you be selling his babies?
I'd love to buy a couple.
I must of missed it somewhere along the line but what happened with the jelly fish tank?
It's still not set up . I'll be putting it in my new coral room soon.
@@MARKSAQUATICS sounds good mark! Keep it up
Wow amazing group of betta frys theres so many but what's the substrate your using but that's a lot of bloodworms.
It's just gravel . nothing special.
What size tanks are those? That the german rams etc are in?
Sorry to hear about jack Mark.
How lucky are you with the zebs!!
What size bloodworm have you got?
thanks Michael. The bloodworm are small.👍😀
@@MARKSAQUATICS sorry Meant the weight you brought?
Hi Mark so sorry about Jack 😢 I lost my Siamese Fighter in almost same situation! Water was perfect but he just died for no reason 🤔, it's just one of those mysteries us fish keepers have to get used too I'm afraid! Sad I know 😥, Do you think Lemon 🐱is responsible for Jacks death?
Hi Paul. No lemon wasn't the cause. They use to love watching each other.
So sorry about Jack, he was a beauty.
Thank you.
Aww rip Jack. I've heard the imports don't do so well, certainly the ones I had didn't last long. I can put you in touch with sone decent UK breeders tho if you are looking for breed quality ever again.
Sorry to hear about your costar jack so now you will have to audition for his replacement not a easy job as he was a beautiful fish.
Poor Jack, maybe the surface air was to cold, fish with a labyrinth organ such as Bettas and Gouramis needs a tank with a lid.
I was thinking the same thing. A piece of cling wrap mostly covering the tanks surface leaving an air pocket between it and the water, will keep it warm enough and humid enough for a betta.
It's a good point but its still very warm in the workshop so that would not have been the cause.
Night temperature in the Netherlands are dropping, I think it’s the same thing in Britain, anyway it was just a thought, fortunately you have enough babies of Jack to keep his bloodline going, good luck with all your fry and fishes.
Thank you. 😀👍
I never heard of this. Thanks for mentioning.
I know you had some dimaond testras you were planning on breeding, what happened to those? I think you had them in the Bench Tank? I don't see any now in there.
The diamond tetras are in another tank. all read for the spring.
awesome I think these are the most stunning tetras along with the gold and the brass tetras.
Can you do a step by step breeding tips
From
Zebra plecos
I can’t find any good info
Good video
I've done a video series on breeding zebra plecos. Look in my playlists.
geez nice camera work
will you be doing a video or video's on how to set up your fish house for the maraine's ?
no link for the bloodworm's
Links there now. Yes lots of fish house videos to come.👍😀
i think this is the link for the bloodworm you was after www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Live-Bloodworm-Small-Size-NO-water-on-a-paper-/172417532937
This is making me badly want to breed up my own bettas
Go for it! Happy new year.👍😀
thanks mark
RIP Jack. His genes will live on. Long live Jack, Jr.! Jack Jr. has the colors of the Scottish flag. Does the Scottish flag have a name like the English flag has Union Jack when at sea?
The scottish flag is called the Saltire or saint Andrews cross.
Maybe call this boy of Jack's Andrew? He is beautifully colored aqua blue with white edging, so far. I am sure as he matures his coloring will change.
Maybe Lemon scared Jack to death?
No he was use to lemon .
Rip jack I wanted to cry
Hi Mark, still no link to the bloodworms!
Sorry all done.👍😀
Hi Mark, that’s great. What size is shown in the video ?
Sorry about Jack!
RIP Jack...😢😢
Sorry about Jack :(
sorry about jack
So sad you have lost jack mark , nobody i know of tries harder than you mate !
Thanks Gary. 😀
RiP Jack 🏴☠️

Can you show how to breed dario dario
I'm not breeding anything now until the spring. But when i do they will be on the list . beautiful little fish.
