The V-motion grille could not be more clearly visible on the Chinese Pathfinder concept, at least for me it's noticeable. The two diagonal lines of the V-motion grille are next to what seem to be functional air curtains. It's further emphasized by the lighting going down the side of the diagonal lines I just mentioned. Aside from the Armada/Patrol, this is the largest or rather the widest integration of the V-motion grille I've ever seen.
Yeah...kinda similar to the aria I felt
Front look like new Hyundai Tuson🤔
I think Tucson looks better than this🤔
But it's not as hideous as the Tucson
@@kfx3907 the split headlights on the Tucson make it ugly in my opinion, so this Pathfinder looks better.
I love the current Pathfinder.
that looks like former hyundai design😂
I saw this in Japan last week it looks great in person
This reminds me more of the new refreshed VW Atlas.
this looks like so much Opel 3 row SUV should have look like😅
The intakes above the grill are reminiscent of the Nissan Hardbody trucks of the early 90s. It's a nice throwback for old people.
I think this Pathfinder will be a model only for China. Also, there are more similarities to Infiniti qx60 than the current Pathfinder. They are already producing qx60 in China.
We had the first generation Pathfinder in 85. It was red. I think it was the best looking one.
I would love to see you cover the Lancia Pu+Ra HPE concept
I like the older one better. Not to beat a dead horse, but the grill is just too big for my taste, but that's what the Chinese market wants.
People are already scooping up any Ariya's that hit the lot. This will be a huge success along with the upcoming redesigned X-Trail (Rogue in North America).
'85 Pathfinder/Terramax 3dr SUV w/ mini triangular side window I liked the best. Angular 5th gen also well designed.
I like the last gen more then this concept version. The last one had more personality and seemed more off road capable, like what a real suv should be.
Bruh, pathfinder is literally the name of the car. You’d expect a car called pathfinder to be able to *find paths,* but this new one seems incapable of that. If even one grain of dirt touches it, it’s toast
This new pathfinder is much more attractive than the current model of the pathfinder here in North America.
Bembi I firmly believe the Chinese Pathfinder will be a BEV with the Ayria styling up from.
Details and context clues. As the article says.... this a China specific model. Our Pathfinder is not being replaced by this. Its only been on the market for 2 years. And it is not dated. Also this has more in common with the QX60 than our Pathfinder. It has the same roofline, front fenders and hood as the QX60. These are things I'd think you would notice.
This would not be mistekened for anything but a Nissan. There's so much Ariya everywhere
4:13 the grill on the Chinese version of the 23 Altima didn’t show a V Motion but the US version have the V Motion coming from the headlight to the bumper on each side.
I hope they do release this one with Turbo! Hopefully they also add a 24gla fuel tank. The current 18gal isn't doing it for me.
I see a lot of Nissan Elgrand in the front end design. With a splash of Santa Cruz
Bro.. you need to check CUPRA's exponential impulse stream and Tavascan launch. Amazing design language at Cupra. Hope to see your video on Tavascan.
The CDM Pathfinder's body is more closely related to the Infiniti QX60's body...if you really look at it. Plus the front them is more closely related family wise to the Nissan Ariya. That said, I feel like the Chinese wanted something more elegant and fluid looking for their Pathfinder, so revising the QX60's body was a way to introduce it in China. Look at the QX60 (same platform) and then look at the CDM Pathfinder, it was a quick way to give them something fresh.
I think this will be the new Murano for the US market.
I think Nissan will likely make some graphic changes at the front for the U.S. market. And I disagree with SketchMonkey on the anonymity of the design. You can clearly see the V-motion in the LED signature which to me along with the grill is reminiscent of the Titan and the Ariya. The Chinese concept certainly looks more premium, but the current U.S. model while still new has dated graphical features. If Nissan does update it for say the 2025/26 MY, then I hope that the Infiniti QX60 stablemate receives changes that will make it look like the very attractive QX concepts they've been showing us over the past few years.
I like the current Pathfinder design better. At least the overall shape. Idk how you can make this new design rugged looking.
Shoulda done a sketchmonkey RockCreek then! :-)
Next gen? Looks like it shares a lot of body panels inside and out so wouldn’t it just be a refresh?
We need luxury designs with more best interior like the maxima 2024
I think the center grille lines should be body colored
Huh? I saw this in the city (Brisbane) today
You need to analyze the new Ford Explorer Electric, please
The front lighting looks like the current Hyundai Tucson...
Idk but the chinese version of the pathfinder screams to me cheaper range rover especial from the side and the rear 3/4 angles
Can you do the q8 etron
The new Pathfinder looks like the new infiniti QX60
That's a hyundai Tucson
Can you talk about the new clio please ?
front end looks like Volkswagen Atlas 🫠
I agree with you sketch monkey The current Pathfinder, it’s face is not that pretty, and it’s outdated and the new ones face is more pretty but too anonymous and that the new ones taillights are completely anonymous. It looks like some random electric crossover I think that all bran should have unique brand identity. This light bartenders probably of the worst trends of the decade because it’s making cars into anonymous whether it’s VW putting a light on the front where there is a Rivian whether it’s Porsche whether it’s I’m just meaning the ones that are non-generic everyone has a generic light bar in their lineup for some reason.
Then you should design the vehicle as a rock creek version. I mean of all people you would be best to do it.
Nice to see them coping Hyundai instead of Hyundai copping others for a change!
11:10 OMG Somone of note finally says what I have been shouting for years now. YES real analog gauges ARE more luxurious than screens. Why would i say that? Well look at watches. Does anyone spend over 100k for an Apple watch. Id argue its the most capable watch on the market. It has a screen it should be worth more than a old fashion mechanical watch right? I mean that only tells time. It does ONE thing only. In all seriousness i love a great set of gauges. You will miss and want that in the future. I think the LC has the best set up. A real moving bezzel around a screen. Im not sure why they haven't upgraded the bezzel and screen. But that's me.
I think that Nissan has decided not to use the V grill in the new design language. I think that loyalty to a fixed element in car design is fading. Automobile companies use a family of similar designs, such as Kia and Hyundai does. Car designs are so similar that they are unrecognizable if we remove the car logo!
The reason so many modern cars are considered 'ugly' is because of the growing Chinese influence in design. Despite being considered ugly in the west, they're considered beautiful in China. Keep in mind China never had cars until the 1980s, before then the only people in China to own a car were government officials or the Premiere. Obviously automakers want to appeal to the Chinese market because it's massively profitable now, and in doing so they have Chinese influenced modern design. This is why they're often hesitant with going back to retro-influenced designs, since China has no classic car culture unlike the US and Europe
Ohh Very interesting. No one seems to be bother to think this way.
Very good point, even American makes like Buick and Lincoln are just straight up selling Chinese models in the US.
It use to be an offroader, then it became soccer mom car, then they made a Rock Creek off road version and mow it's a Chinese soccer mom car. What a weird story!
You're super busy this month 😅
also looks a lot like a Hyundai Tucson
well, that's a tacked on face if I've ever seen one.
Im glad nissan are finally getting true designs with extreme spirit in.
glad they made a seperate model for the chinese market, unlike bmw which makes everyone suffer their garish designs
The idea that BMW's big grills are for China's taste is so overplayed and has been proven wrong.
I like this design, but it’s no Pathfinder. The Pathfinder is the type of car I think of when I think of a useable, capable SUV, where as this feels much more like another mainstream SUV aimed at luxury and tech. It does feel a bit too anonymous as was mentioned in the video, but despite all of this I do still like the approach they took with certain features like the trim pieces, lights, and other details. Again, it looks good, but it doesn’t feel like the same purpose-built SUV that the Pathfinder is.
@bembli if you wish to increase the viewership from India, why don't you review the designs of all the Tata Motors cars.. Just a sugestion
Nissan is killing the v motion grill in its current line up by blacking out the whole front of the Altima, leaf and versa, hope they transition to this design soon.
A better looking Tucson 😂
Hallo
I think the v motion design goes all the way from the very tip of the lights
that's a concept???? it looks like a production car.
I thought we just got the current pathfinder. Why are we already getting a new one?
Lincoln
Damn that looks sexy af
A Real Pathfinder uses the body of frontier
Hyundai should sue smh
Not a fan, prefer the current rugged looks. Needs updated screen like the 2024 Rouge. New generation would not happen here until 2026 at the earliest.
I don't think this new one is worthy of the Pathfinder name. It looks to stylised.
Nissan correctly went back to making the current Pathfinder rugged looking, as they lost their way previously.
I agree with your opinions nabout the new one.
I feel they should have branded it as the next Murano.
Hyundai Tucson
Looks like a Hyundai Tucson
Looks too much like Hyundai models with the grill lights. Are auto groups now looking to the Korean vehicles for inspiration??
Hmm. This does give me a Volkswagen vibe.
I like it tho...about time Nissan's design team do something fresh.
Still hate that ugly Z grill
That Front is straight up copied from the new Hyundai Tucson.
The drls look like a knock off of the Hyundai Tucson
Nissan hasn’t been able to top the 1st gen Pathfinder.
I see more Lincoln and Range Rover than Nissan (Pathfinder Concept) I’m not a fan
Im not fan of Nissans, the current design of the Pathfinder looks lot better than this one looks almost too identical like almost every Merc EV, Hyundai and Ford and stretched Atlas grille. Dont fix that doesnt need to be fixed! That Nissan Pathfinder just lost its frontal image
This has the same Hannibal Lecter mask-lookin wheels like the Leaf 🤮
Your grammar is too much,The new pathfinder is great good job
The interior looks dated 😑 just slap a big screen in on it like in Ford SUVs
Would be a massive downgrade if that turned out to be it.
Unfortunately it's ugly.
I think it will grow on you a bit odd but it’s a confidence pathfinder looking.
This is the Chinese market version. They like radical modern bold designs at that market. It's a different story for people living in North America, who may think it's too polarizing for them. It's the same thing with fashion. I'm pretty sure the North American version will be slightly different in design than the Chinese market version.
current one is fugly, even the last gen looks better
Click bait maybe 2026
Nissans are shit goes beyond me why anyone would get one
They can keep this design 😒 this design (concept) is too soft. A Pathfinder is rugged and boxy .
"Modern Chinese esthetics"
Personally, I'd like to know what exactly is, by definition, "Modern Chinese esthetics" when almost everything they do is a blantant design ripoff - free from consequences abroad to boot - of competing manufacturers.
That's one ugly suv
That pathfinder looks like a Chinese knock off of a real pathfinder. I guess Nissan is copying Chinese designs. Full circle I guess.
I am so happy to no longer be a fan of Nissan. That is ugly. Honda, Hyundai, Kia, and Toyota are my favorites.
