It's sometimes hard to believe Toyota used to make cars like this. My Vigor's pillarless doors closed solidly as well.
I very nearly bought one of these a few years ago now in red, it had been smashed in the driver side a lot to put right it was a toss up between that and an Mr2, in the end I bought a 93 Toyota MR2 turbo red t bar, still got it 15 years later best motor I've owned, can't beat the turbos and the Mr2 just looks so damn good.
Gen 2 celica was the best shape I never see them on the road here in England now only ones I see it the last celica they ever made.

They arent easy to work on, and they are old cars which alot of stuff needs to be replaced but they are very slick looking cars and probably feel even nicer driving in great shape. They are projects but yeah its not easy peasy. I know cause I got a 90 ST and a 91 GT and they both need alot of work too
Mine blew a HeadGasket not a cheap fix .

gotta be the gts with me. love the twin tail pipe and pop up headlights. i would prefer the all trac but those are hard to find and expensive. its actually a pretty tough choice, im a toyota guy but the vtec preludes from the same era seem to be calling to me as well. either way i love the japanese sports cars of the late 80's to early 00's. it means to me what 60's american muscle means to the baby boomer car guys.
I have the same car, but it's a 1990 and it's red. My only complaint is that with the long throw shifter, I hit the cupholders going into 3rd. And it's really annoying😂
I call the manual shifter "Rührschüssel" (Mixing pot)

Well as everyone knows a shifter is impossible to change and you’re stuck with it. Oh well

Well back in the 90's you got luaghed at for driving one of them everyone said the Toyota Celica & Mitsubishi Eclipse were for girls . The funny thing is that i actually bought it off a Hispanic girl there was pink heart stickers and the Mexican Flag everywhere i had to rip off tuck me 4 hour's to scrape all that shit off.
So many choices in my area, an FC3S RX-7, a '92 Celica, a nissan GTS-T R32, an MR-2, Integra, 300ZX Z32, and more

The hatch is better. More useful, taillights look better
i completely remembered what that dead space is under the power mirrors. its for the rear window controls on the convertible model, and then the one dead space next to the shifter under the cupholder was for the power top.
Or if you have a GT-S or All-Trac that space controls the power seat lumbar.

Spot by the park brake is for adjustable seats. Lumbar support and the sides hug you more or less. Amazing seats

I'm currently driving a Hyundai Tuscon N line S, it's pretty nice, but it'll never compare to this model of Toyota Celica, the best car I ever drove.

Are the stock speakers any good ? I'm pretty hard into audio and wand good sound because I always listen to music.
In case this helps someone in the future, the system 10 premium sound system is good but not amazing. You will still want to upgrade speakers because let's face it. It's still a 27-30 year old car now.
The speakers are excellent for being a 27 year old vehicle. I listen to allot of Heavy Metal .

The Cult, VIXEN, Def Leppard Cinderella, Van Halen, Dokken , Skid Row, Guns N Rose's, Heart , Billy Idol, Pat Benatar, Bonnie Tyler, Journey, Rush , The Fixx, The Clash, Van Halen, Kiss, Alice In Chains, Pink Floyd, Vanilla Ice, Mc Hammer , Sir Mix Allot, don't know what happened to the original stereo it got put up somewhere.

You'd want the 94-99 Bug Eyed 6th Generation than a Convertible is pretty rare to come by .

I'm talking about a passenger being where the car was not designed to have one at all. Rip to them if any sort of accident ever happened. Also I'm pretty sure the hump in the seat and floor are there for a reason. So unless they're a baby or 3 feet tall nobody's going to fit.
