Thanks. I love this washer. I'd love to hear the drum roll when you start out soft then get loud with the drum roll on the washer with both hands in a long recording. It's very cool.
The newer models of the speed queen commercial washers doesn't clean anything compared to the older ones. The old washer and dryers in my apartment were recently replaced with these newer models even if there were nothing wrong with them. The newer models agitates so lightly that they don't clean anything even in the heaviest setting while the old washer agitates aggressively, and you can tell it's cleaning your laundry because it shakes the machine while doing it! Might have to start going to the laundromat for this reason, unfortunately.
I agree. I hate the TR series. The only machine they make that u still like is the TC5. It's this washer exactly. Not the new trashy drivetrain that doesn't clean worth anything.
Never in my life have I ever heard a speed queen sound THIS BAD during agitation, at somepoint it sounds like the motor needs replacing but other than that it’s a good washer!
I miss when the laundrymat I used to go to had those while in operation, closed down after a few rebrandings of the convenience store/gas station it was part of.
How do you get it to work with the lid up? My brand new TC 5000 won’t operate with the lid up and I don’t see anything in the sparsely written instructions about it.
I ve seen these in laundromats. They are medicore. Plastic pumps are a big weak point. They also don't handle overloading very well. Nothing really to take pressure off of the belt to keep it from getting glazed when that happens. Also the water level pressure switch is prone to failure as well. Dont believe all the hype about them. In laundromats they need alot of attention.

It's located at the back right. There's actually a trick, the top hangs off the machine in the back about 2 inches. If you get a thick piece of Styrofoam or something similar and wedge it against the lid switch arm when the lid is closed it holds it in the closed position and tricks the machine into thinking it's closed
