I hate LG. I will never buy this product ever again.

How do you get it to work with the lid up? My brand new TC 5000 won’t operate with the lid up and I don’t see anything in the sparsely written instructions about it.

Clothes are not in . the water. The top is out pg the water level. Hiw can they be washed?

Oh My Snot. Why are people so stupid ? All of you people who are complaining about this washer--- have you ever owned one or used one? No? Then shut up. You don't know Jack Split. You cannot see how this washer washes with the naked eye on normal speed . No, you can't fill it all the way to the top. You can't do that with a vintage center post agitator washer either! That's called overloading. I had access to a washer similar to this is 2018/2019 (LG WT5270). Yes it cleaned my clothes great. My only pet peeve was the washing of comforters was terrible, even on bulky setting. It soaks comforters, it does not wash them. But to totally dismiss this washer as junk, is something ignorant people do.

Wow, what a heap! I can't believe it's still functioning. So easy to see how the Koreans came in around this time and started gutting our appliance industry if this was 'the best we had to offer' for an HE machine.

This will ruin a direct drive machine. That's why you should not put this much in there or else you will break it.

My Whirlpool Calypso washes so differently than the Kenmore version. My Washer doesnt go into the spin cycle at all in the beginning of the wash cycle. Water turns on it rotates slowly for a few minutes then goes right into the wash cycle. Strange seems like a waste of time to me

This cycle is similar to the wool cycle on my Whirlpool Calypso washer !

My mom has one of these machines and seems to like it. Having had front loaders for 30 years, I don't really understand how this machine can clean the clothes. When I have washed my clothes in her washer, the rinse doesn't seem as thorough as in my front loader, but the clothes do some out clean, but smelling much more of detergent (we use the same brand of detergent).

Could u do a bulky cycle on this washer

Quite amazing how this unit makes so many useless and unnecessary operations that don’t wash any fabric properly. I simply don’t understand why folks don’t buy efficient front loaders. More real action… much simply mechanical design and 40% water savings. Sad machine that clickety/clanks forever without really cleaning.🤡

The TR series is good quality but doesn’t clean well, TC5 is better. The Speed Queen TR series isn’t unreliable, I look inside those and the parts do look heavy duty, the motor looks like it’s super heavy duty and will last 25+ years, the motor is probably the last part of a Speed Queen washer to fail, probably very rare to find Speed Queen with a bad motor. I bet even the cheap Amana NTW4516FW cleans much better than a Speed Queen TR series. Although VMWs aren’t exactly known for their reliability.

Never in my life have I ever heard a speed queen sound THIS BAD during agitation, at somepoint it sounds like the motor needs replacing but other than that it’s a good washer!

Perfect video. I bought the 7100 LG last Summer and made the mistake of exchanging it for a re-used Amana, then to Samsung. The LG machine spins so much faster and longer on the Quick/Speed Wash cycle than the Samsung. I spoke with Samsung about why the tub stops spinning for 30 seconds in the middle of each final spin cycle, where LG spins all thwme way until the end. Samsung said "You cannot compare our products with other brand names." The LG machine is much quieter. The drain pump isn't on Steady like Samsung. And the LG machine will occasionally do a Spray Rinse to save water after the Wash cycle.

You cant tell me that this is better washing action than on the front load washing machines or top loads that have drums like front loads.

They surely must have updated the control logic in the 2 years since this was posted. No offense, but there is no way I would think my clothes are clean after watching this. Not even close. I ordered an LG because the ratings are so good. The newer models must work differently. That extra fill-up option was needed badly.

I like the direct drive version of this washer. If i had this in my house i would be sad. As i don't like old belt drives and I was fooledthat it was a direct drive thin twin.

And this is why I will never touch SQ ever in my life. I own an LG front loader, and it is amazing. But I am sad to say that in the animal shelter I work at, they have a TR7 SQ as one of the machines...

After reading about how this machine busts through tough stains, I'm inclined to believe it. What an unusual yet utterly fascinating washer. Why on Earth didn't Whirlpool iron out the kinks before the lawyers ate them alive😕? You must know what a gem you have despite the mismatched control panel😂.

He is right LG and all the other modern washers are built like crap and they don't last as long as the speed queen does pus it has no agitator it probably doesn't clean as good as the speed queen does.
