Who's to blame for Sophia?! I would say Rick AND Lori in that situation. Lori held Carol back many times and Rick was the one who left her in the woods by herself in a hole while walkers were roaming. She's young and panicked so she fled while waiting for Rick to come back. I blame rick for Sophia and I will blame him all day long. Yes Carol is her mother but Lori kept her from running after her daughter. I think she was scared that Carol would scream and invite the walkers back. In the video I state many times that if I was Carol I would have been out looking for her so yes, Carol should have done something as well. In regards to Rick being the only one who was running after Sophia, it was his duty as a police officer to protect everyone especially a child. I just want to know why Shane didn't follow or anyone else for that matter. I think maybe he saw everything under the car and just reacted.
All in all, it was written that way and it was utter chaos from everyone's point of view in that moment. What happened happened. Can't wait to see in the next episodes if they actually do find her. I would hope so!!!!

I don't think anyone is really to blame for what happened to Sophia. Rick did his best. He couldn't fight 2 walkers while keeping either from going for her and her screaming brings more. Carol should have kept a better eye on Sophia, but the same could be said for Lori as well concerning Carl. I think no one is to blame because no one knew about herds. It was just a series of bad events they did not know to look out for and prepare for. Shit happens I don't know maybe I'm talking out of my ass, but I lost a child and sometimes shit just happens.

@@vincemac2223 No, this show intentionally tosses out situations where there is no real right answer, or it is very much debatable, when considering the totality of the circumstances. Each character in the show and each person watching has their own filter, their own experiences affecting their thoughts and behaviors.

Lori didn't keep Carol from running after her daughter, she was covering her mouth from screaming so she didn't draw the herd back to them. Rick couldn't kill two walkers by hand with Sophia in his arms. I didn't see anyone else rushing along side Rick to help. If someone else was as quick as Rick going after her then they could have killed the walkers while Rick brought her to safety. He was ALONE. Rick is not to blame for this situation. He didn't have to run after her at all and left it to Carol. Why was it Rick's responsibility to save her? He should be praised for being the only one who TRIED and not punished for failing.

Rick is the MVP in this situation, he was the only one that chased after Sophia and did what he thought was right. What mother wouldn't chase after their child?!!

Sophia being lost is NOT Rick’s fault at all.
He is the only one that took off after her.
In the life they’re living in now, both Carl and Sophia should have been within arms reach of a parent!
No one but Rick took off to save her and she didn’t listen to him. As soon as he got the walkers to follow him, she came out and left. Of course, she’s a kid but they should’ve been taught stay close. Definitely stronger teaching of stranger danger.
Rick tried. Carol just stood there and cried.

I never thought it was Rick's fault. Carol could've gone after her daughter. If somebody had followed Rick they could've brought Sophia back while Rick dealt with the walkers. I always thought it was unfair of Carol to blame Rick when she just stood there. At least he went after her.

That’s all I could think when I first saw this episode, was how Carol just stood there looking over a side rail, waiting until someone returned with her daughter. 😬. Then somehow it’s someone else’s fault. When Rick too is new to running for his life all the time. He did the best he could have done. She did NOTHING, but weep & blame. 😂Almost funny😊

Just to let you know that the showrunner has changed now Frank Darabont was the showrunner for Season 1 But now Glenn Mazzara is the showrunner for Season 2 There was a lot of issues that happened behind the scenes that resulted in Frank Darabont getting fired as the showrunner But as of now in Season 2 he’s an executive producer and plus he directed this episode I thought he did a great job as the showrunner last season and a great job with the casting.

Not sure why you're putting the blame for Sofia on Rick...i didn't see her mother running through the woods chasing after her. Carol is lucky that Rick chased after her at all, putting his own life in danger for HER daughter. He put more effort into keeping Sofia safe, than Carol did...

Hi, enjoying your reactions to this show. And I do think that there was a lot of blame to go around about Sophia. I have never blamed Rick for what happened though. He was the only one to run after her. However, I am surprised that you seemed to write off Shane's actions last episode by saying he was drunk. He tried to rape Lori and there is no excuse for that. I don't even like Lori that much, but I will always and forever hate Shane for that.

How was Rick supposed to kill two walkers with Sophia in his arms. If he could just shoot them, fine but he couldn't do that. Putting her somewhere safe was his only option while he fought off the dead. Maybe if someone else ran WITH him to her rescue then it wouldn't have happened that way. They all took their time going after her.... Rick didn't. I don't blame him for this, others should have been right along side of him.

    Hello 👋
    Another awesome video, 👍👍
Technically (and my opinion) Carol and Lori should have had those kids within grabbing distance, and they would not have been in that situation, at 12 yrs old she should have known better (especially in an apocalypse), than to move from under the car before an adult said it was clear, she knows what stay means, it also does not mean as soon as Rick was out of eyesight to take off, 🙂
Generally there are two actions/tendencies to fear that I have heard of, she did the first, ‘fight or flight’, when crawling out from under the car, that was right for that situation, though at 12 I probably would have ran down the road or alongside of it (opposite the herd) if I could, giving the adults a chance to save me or hopefully get the chance to dodge around vehicles or possibly get a chance to duck under another one and then wait for the adults, the second is, ‘freeze and hide’ can not remember if that is the correct term but it basically means the same thing, which is what should have happened under those roots, that is when fear usually paralyzes them for longer than the 3 seconds she gave it, 👍🙂
I never thought to blame Rick, I was actually surprised when Lori had to defend her husband, no one else followed until Rick gets back to find out she never made it back to the group, if they had, they would have found her climbing up the river bank, in my opinion if Rick is blamed then the blame should be placed on more than just him, 😏
Oh my golly, both kids in the same episode, same as you all I could think was something is going to happen the whole time Carl was walking towards the deer, the moment was to tranquil, 😲
Have a safe and wonderful rest of your week, 👋😀👋

@@sallyatticum Yeah I forgot about stupid Ed. He was horrible to her and her daughter. I think everyone just panicked in that situation. I just hope they find her soon! • @sallyatticum
      @sallyatticum Рік тому +3

@@chickflicks82 I think anyone that has lived with an abuser or worked with abused children or women (or men) would have more sympathy for her and for Sophia. Remember how she stood back and allowed others to protect her and confront Ed. It takes time to recover and relearn basic skills when you leave an oppressive, abusive situation. You may suffer PTSD. It's not clear if Ed abused Sophia or not, but she clearly had witnessed it and probably would have lived in fear.

@@chickflicks82 I think if I were in his shoes, I would've done the same thing. I know she's not my daughter, etc... but she was still grieving Amy, and she wasn't in her right mind. The CDC just happened at the wrong time. Jacqui on the other hand, was at peace... and had her right mind about her. Yeah, with Sophia and Carl now taking the headlines, i can see why you haven't had a chance to digest the Dale situation. But you will, as S2 goes on. A lot of plots in S2/side stories to get immersed in.

That is Carol's child.. not Rick's or anyone else's there. She is not Rick's responsibility, Carol just put her responsibility in Rick's hand. He tried when no one else did. Think about what it means to fight off two adult males with dead body weight trying to bite you and tear you apart, especially after having been sleep deprived, not eating enough and mentally drained.
