Not yet, but they're setting it up here. Rita and Ed were always at odds. From what I recall, Rita initially chased Ed because she wanted the life he could give her. I think if Lenore had remained on the show, the story would have been about her wanting an upgrade in lifestyle through Alan.
@captaincoral1745 It’s really interesting how on most shows a character like her would have been the resident bitch (I mean, she did A LOT of lousy things, including stealing a man from her sister just for sex). But for some reason, she was presented as a kind of heroine by both the Dobsons and Marland, probably because she was one of Roger's victims.
I didn't know there was a temporary recast for Morgan in this episode. Does anyone know the name of that actress?
