Waste of time. You didn't tell us how to diagnose/find the leak, you just told us you need fancy equipment. And you didn't even show how to use that. The only useful thing in this was showing how you can supply your house with water while you diagnose.
Im a plumber with leak detection experience. Running temporary pex pipe to supply the house was overkill. You determine a leak by watching the meter after shutting off all the toilets in the house. If the meter moves when everything is off then you have a leak.Turn off all the hot water in the house, if the meter continues to move then the leak is on the cold water side. Shut off the main water supply valve at the house. If the movement at the meter continues then you have a leak between the meter and the house. If you have an irrigation system you can isolate that as well. Finding the leak is done by inducing nitrogen against the water flow at the point you know you are at the down line location of the leak. As the nitrogen is induced the technician is watching and listening for the nitrogen to hit where the pipe is leaking. Then, the technician is listening with a sonic amplifier to hear the leak. In cases where the pipe is deeper in the ground helium instead of nitrogen is used. When inducing helium then tech will listen for a squelling sound and will use another device called a helium sniffer to find the leak. With very large pipe on commercial buildings a device called a coorelator is used. This device works off a magnetic field and the signiture a leak makes in the pipe. Call qualified, trained people.😂
The irrigation system SHOULD have been designed with a shut-off valve where it ties in to the main water supply. You shouldn't have to run a water line to the house, lol. WTF?
Lol, my water department just told me it was my problem to find it. I'm a grandmother on social security and I can't pay plumbers large amounts of money to do this kind of thing.
Great selling job on Pex, but you really did not show anything at all about how you ACTUALLY located the leak. You mentioned, air tank, safe gas, and acoustics, but this would have been a good teaching video if you had demonstrated how those techniques are done. I still do not know how you actually found the leak at the edge of that "deck" that you mentioned. For that reason, I give you a thumbs down instead of up.
Yeah. I didn't see a cable in the PVC line, either. how did they retrieve the camera? Plus, how would seeing help? Seems listening would be more conclusive.
I have a huge leak* in an outdoor buried PVC line (with its own shutoff valve). The line is isolated from everything except three outside spigots. Unfortunately, our house is built on a hill, and the entire hill (covered with bus-size half-buried boulders) was made buildable by bringing in countless truckloads of fill. That means the leak water doesn’t show up anywhere; the leak apparently goes into the fill, and leaves no evidence of a leak. In order to find the leak, I even paid $400 to a man that specializes in locating underground utilities. No luck at all; his state of the art equipment will not find PVC pipes, and rapid on/off valve cycles didn’t produce any underground sounds that he could detect. My final alternative now is to hire men (younger and stronger than me) to dig a trench to expose the PVC pipe, looking for a tee or a break in the line (100 feet or so). *The “leak” is so big that when I pressurize the line the spigot water drops to maybe half flow, and even when the spigots are off, the house water pressure drops dramatically.
Super poor communications and, really, 10 minutes of my life gone forever. After rambling on and on, telling us about how he diverted the house water while locating the leak, maybe with a micro -camera, but no, at 5:30 it seems he has a whole host of techniques and out of thin air, finds the leak at a 90 degree joint without saying how. Thanks for nothing.
Let’s see….started with one truck in the most competitive market and grew it to 120 employees and the largest family owned company! You? I can almost bet you absolutely NO……
I got a leak... I could find Super Mario himself to come over to my house on a Sunday sooner than I can find a plumber that advertises "Emergency Service" to come over... seriously WTF is up with all the 24/7 service tags in the plumbing ads if it only means I can leave a voice mail with some outsourced dispatcher in India?
You should have been able to isolate the irrigation from the domestic water that goes into the house and then figure out the what the h*** do put a temporary service into the house and save yourself a lot of time and then you could eyes the light of the irrigation leaked that way
There's a T&P valve in the supply system? I wonder if the property has a pressurizing pump to get up to usable pressure. Maybe that's the reason for the T&P? Nice property.
You didn't show "HOW to find an Underground Water Leak"...you just showed that it was found. I hope you don't scam your customers the way you scammed your UA-cam audience.
all of you talking crap cry because you are poor and think you can do plumbing jobs alone.. the leak was located by PROFESSIONALS you simple youtube people cannot undertake every job or task based off youtube.. what will you do if a leak happens directly under your house?? right you will accept defeat.. this guy is only trying to help he doesnt need your negative comments he works with or without youtube lol

Is that why he’s giving us the middle finger at 1:17 ?
Thanks man. Saved me 6:25 of my life. Thumbs up to comment. Thumbs down to the video.
Were you able to find the leak? I’m still looking for a video to help😂

Not if its a small leak that will never show up in your meter usage
So what if you are trying to find a leak without a meter mr professional? Then what?
That's some great information an much more informative than this video. Cheers for the tips 👍🏼
Waste of time for a DIY.
How about induce some gas that smells?
And now, moving on to more helpful videos.
@@BP-111 lol right
I was hoping to see the process of finding the leak. What equipment was used? How did they know where the leak was?
WHats the purpose of video?......"oh duhh ANd here's the leak right here!".....lol
I found the leak at 3:30. It's right behind you....you can see it and hear it in the video. It's leaking like a fountain.
Same thought occurred to me.
Well that didn't help anyone actually locate a leak.
Dan Clark I think it’s just called $$$.
That's time I can't get back watching this video!

You didn’t say how you found the leak.

Answer is @5:39 Video is pretty much worthless unless you have air tanks, safe gas and acoustic equipment what ever those are.
Why repair it that way? Now it will have more restriction right?
Since the camera involved expect high repair bill
What type of micro camera do you use and type of acoustic equipment?
Yeah. I didn't see a cable in the PVC line, either. how did they retrieve the camera? Plus, how would seeing help? Seems listening would be more conclusive.

I am l I ke the other post ...... how did you find the leak???
Somewhere between his brain and my brain there was a leak of knowledge.
Super poor communications and, really, 10 minutes of my life gone forever.

Thanks for nothing.
Have you ever tried the gen ear leak detection system from general wire. I was thinking of buying one
They didn’t find the leak, that why it’s not on the video. These guys sub contracted a real plumber to do the work.
Apologize, we couldn’t film the second part of location & repair. We moved on to better production since then. Thanks for sharing!
@@TwinHomeExperts🙄
Should have read the comments first. What a waste of time.
Thanks for the info!
Certified in pex? You mean own a pair of crimpers?
Let’s see….started with one truck in the most competitive market and grew it to 120 employees and the largest family owned company! You? I can almost bet you absolutely NO……
I've got a dowsing stick I can sell you for cheap.
Uh...that was how to avoid showing how to locate a leak.
Why does this guy remind me of Mrs. Doubtfire? 🤣
How does this help the normal person find a water leak .....
I know it’s crazy. You just have to call the larger Emergency companies that have several techs ready to go. Thanks for sharing.
Telling us that you use a lot of equipment to find it is NOT helpful.
It didn't show how he found the leak.
You should have been able to isolate the irrigation from the domestic water that goes into the house and then figure out the what the h*** do put a temporary service into the house and save yourself a lot of time and then you could eyes the light of the irrigation leaked that way
That did not tell anything on how you found the leak, wasted my time
Not help full how u detect sewrge water that no have prasuer?
Encourage you to Watch our other videos on this subject. We solved many sewage leaks causing sewer gases. Thank you 🙏
There's a T&P valve in the supply system? I wonder if the property has a pressurizing pump to get up to usable pressure. Maybe that's the reason for the T&P? Nice property.
You didn't show how you found it.
Got it. Run pex to the house, then go out back and look in a hole. Sumple.
So anyone can do this if they spend $1,000's upon 1,000's on cameras and sound equipment. I already knew that.
Great feedback.
So the moral of the story is call a professional
🤔 perfect way to waste my time. I feel guilty watching this vdo.
Very nice video. I would like to watch a longer version, like an hour, in-depth video of it.
I know I wish we could have captured everything .... will do another one that is more in-depth. Thank you so much for your feedback.
Wasn't a nice video, told you nothing
Dude! She’s being facetious.
Amazing audio dubbing
They don't check for leaks on your private property they check for leaks on their end only
I wondered how people found leaks.
Useless video. Tell you you need special equipment only with they have to locate the leak 5:35
India me available hai
Wow , I wasted my time. HOW WAS THE LEAK LOCATED?!
Totally useless as you never showed how you found the leak+
You didn’t show how to locate the leak, you spent all the time showing how to run a bypass line.
What a load of crap!!!
You did not show how you located the leak total waste
This is nonsense just shut the main inside and see if the meter is still spinning
This video showed nothing on how to find an underground water leak!
You didn't show "HOW to find an Underground Water Leak"...you just showed that it was found. I hope you don't scam your customers the way you scammed your UA-cam audience.
Your comment has my full support
Well this didn't give Me much hope
Air tanks , safe gas, acoustics..?
You gave me NO onsite on how to find the leak. None. Waste of time!!
Amazing
No, this doesn’t help. You didn’t “show us how”, you just tried to make it sound highly specialized with jargon.
This video is a gimmick
If you want keeping your UA-cam ever don’t talk too much
Just doing what I do the best I know how to do. See what I’m saying!
Hey, mate, why did you make such video? It was not really helpful as you omitted the critical parts.
Excellent!
not excellent
Most useless video i have seen online. Dude says nothing significant about how he found thd leak!
Rubbish.....did not show how you found the leak!!!
I just lost 5 minutes on this advertisement
Car salesman vibes, plus he never revealed how they found the leak. Pretty worthless video.
too bad you didn't actually show how to find the leak.. just lots of bla blah
Blah blah blah this 14 Minutes of the most INTENSE ratting you will EVER see...
ua-cam.com/video/mQNBz6qVd8U/v-deo.html
Expert at what? Maybe the other twin knows. You did nothing but run your mouth.
Complete waste of 6 minutes plop
Infomercial nothing new here.
You say nothing.
Quite please
That’s why there is a scroll option . 😀
